Grim is right on point here. Negative space can be filled with color. When it is a sketch or drawing in pencil it can become confusing. Try drawing a good letter structure then add to it keeping in mind uniformity and letter structure.
good point on the missing extention/ arrow off of the B, it would add a nice balance & center the piece on a whole. instead of the circle to fill in space try extending the first leg of your V up a little higher, remember to have & play around with your letters until you find something that flows nicely. you're off to a good start though so keep it up bro

The fundamentals are letter structure ( this is the most important one ), negative space management, letter and name weight, letter and name positioning and flow. Extensions are more advanced so you shouldn't worry about that just yet as it's only going to make life harder. Keep it simple, basic print font straight letters with no style. I have a ton of videos teaching this and how to do basic straights so feel free to check that out. Also watch the toys guid to graffiti playlist on my channel. It's made for new graffiti artists

Chief Kimball their are actual set in stone rules in art (elements of art) then you have the fundamentals of the specific artform. These are also set in stone. Style is the exaggeration of these two sets of fundamentals. You first need to know how these work before you can add style because theirs a science behind why things work and why they don't. Theirs a reason why some things appeal to the eye, look good or look bad or are unappealing. For example you can't draw a portrait of someone, get all the anatomy wrong then say yup it's my style. If art were a language, our drawings the words, then the completed art being the story, then we need to know how the language works (we need to know the fundimentals) so we can speak clearly (have a clear correct image), so we can better communicate our story (better show our style and/or convey the story of the pic.
