Hi I just got the photo program on my computer. So I have be trying to put it on my iPad i click on the buy now but there is no place to download it or pay for it can you please help me.
I enjoyed your 5 tricks video lots. I tried it on my iPad Pro version of Affinity but couldn’t get the Lens Filter to give me the pop up of the orange you got. Kindly advise on how to do the Lens filter on the iPad Pro version - thanks
Brilliant IG tip, thank you for this! Only one problem, if you have more than 1 account ie personal and business/hobby related, I can't see a way to switch accounts, do you know if this is possible?
I appreciate how your videos don't just say "This is a good thing to do," but "This is a good thing to do *because* [it will affect this] or [it is affected by this] or [this will happen when…] so we know why we're doing things, and learning the *craft* of photo refining, not just the techniques.
I've been enjoying your youtube videos. Now I'm having a problem with Affinity Photo and hope you can help. Suddenly the Inpainting brush tool and the Clone brush tool stopped working. I tried rasterizing the pics but that didn't work. I also tried changing the "current layer" setting to "current layer and below, but that didn't solve the problem either. I would be really grateful for any ideas. Also, I'd like to know if there's a way to reset Affinity Photo back to factory settings so I can start fresh.
Sorry, but I'm not sure. 😕 I recommend you ask for help on the official Affinity forums: forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/5-affinity-on-desktop-questions-macos-and-windows/
Apply it as a Live Filter (the hourglass icon at the bottom of the Layers Panel), and then drag the live filter layer to the top of your layer stack. 🙂

Great video, I thaught It was 2048 on the longside just like for Facebook. I whant to fill en Instagram 4:5 with an vertical portrait without crop, can I use content aware like In Ps Instead of disstorting the image?
hey thanks for the tricks, but I want to ask about DPI. So many tutorials says that should go on 72 DPI but I see that you let about 300... what i should to do? and when you export that picture are you limiting on 0,5 MB?
DPI only matters for physically printing a photo - it makes no difference when uploading a photo online. 🙂 Your max file size depends on what website you are using.
OMG thanks for the Instagram hack. I don't have IG on my actual phone because of serious privacy issues but there was no way to upload - but now this is fantastic. Thank you!
Hey Ally ! great video but I got an important question. If I set all color spaces to sRGB, do I have to change color profile in my monitor also to sRGB or does it not matter? cause your macbook also has its own color space doesn’t it?

So far Affinity photo seems to be photoshops little brother that needs more focused how to videos to show its refined quality and specific capabilities. Keep up the good work girl!😀🎈🎈🎈
Awesome tutorial. Can you do a tut with one large picture that conforms to the panorama view? When you swipe the picture left and it keeps showing it without a seem. i don't know what it is called.
I wonder if instead of a brightness/contrast filter using a curve filter with an S-curve wouldn't be better - brightness is typically just such a brute-force-destroy-information kind of adjustment, no?

I made a copy using 1080x1350 as you said and that doesn't seem to be the full size. It crops that down on the sides. Is a simple 1080x1080 not their full size? or 1:1?
Thanks for another great video Ally. I didn't know you could transfrer from your computer and love that tip but I can't locate the settings tab. Missing on mine... I'm using Safari on a MAC... latest versions.
I couldn't find them on Safari either, but you can use Chrome (View>Developer>Developer Tools) or Firefox (Tools>Web Developer>Toggle Tools) - look for the device icon
It's a little bit different, but you can do it from Safari as well. hbase.net/2017/11/08/how-to-upload-photos-to-instagram-from-safari-browser-on-a-macintosh-computer/
Shouldn't you first do the adjustments and then convert to sRGB/8? After doing this you loose some color depth, which could result in color banding, when you do the adjustments, or am I wrong here?
I recommend you convert your color space first, because then you can apply adjustments that compensate for the new color format. If you wait until the end to change your color format, then all of your adjustments might not look good when you switch the format.
@@AffinityRevolution OK, but then I would strongly recommend to first convert to sRGB/16 to keep the 16 bit color depth with enough room for adjustments (e.g. shadow and highlight recovery) and then switch so sRGB/8 before export.
I was hoping that the video would show me how to resize a vertical photo to put on Instagram without losing the top. I have tried the 1080 x 1350 width and height but I still lost the top. Any recommendations? What you explained was done well. Thanks.
