To my understanding. This build revolved mostly around hunting elites, if you pay attention he mainly dashes around spreading the decrip curse to keep his toughness up. Then when he sees an elite/pack he pops land of the dead freezes everything and just kills the elites. This build is not for killing trash, its mainly for killing elites.
You can use this exact build to clear a level. Blood rush leaves a corpse. It's just a pain in the ass to have to get it rolling like that. I made an alternative build from this using either cubed moribund gauntlets with a bone golem which will drop a corpse a second, or if you want a little more damage from your corpse lance, use a flesh golem to drop a pile of corpses and cube the corpsewhisper pauldrons.
traindawg21 there is an interesting element of strategy to this build in terms of time management while you are off of cd though. It's not as much fun as zipping around a rift multi shotting everything, but it has a strategic element that does not exist in a lot of other builds.
I'm playing on the PTR now as we speak, They made some major buffs. I tried this current set but but I'm using blood nova instead of corpse lance. I actually love it now. But Necro isn't my class. Monks and Demon Hunters are. The buffs they just made on the PTR makes this set cool with other builds

Corpse Lance does have AS breakpoints. Basically the breakpoints decide how many corpses/sec can be used during LotD. if people are complaining the gameplay is boring, its because the build he is using only hunts for elites and is one of the most overpowered buidls for the necromancer for greater rifts.
Ok so let's make corpse explosion pull this kinda damage so we don't have to bitch about "elite hunting". They're not nerfing it. At least not for now. Many builds from several classes are about to get buffed. They wouldn't risk pissing off all the players who just paid for this expansion by nerfing the top rank build. They're calling it "balancing" but lots of people are calling it power creep.
You get increased xp when you run in a group. In fact some people hit Paragon 700 within the first day of the new season (S11). Run high lvl group grifts then clear them solo.
you kill 1 trash mob to get 85% dmg boost from templar ring, why i never focused it like that, i just instant aim on elites. You can easy do 120gr+ if you push
because it's a waste of time going for those. the whole point of the build is to pop everything in one big go and move on. combat from just a few corpses is not sustainable.

In hardcore you are farming for the perfect rift as well Hell if you get a really shitty one most likely you just leave the game anyway because it isn't worth potentially losing your character.
of course there's a risk. If you do get that perfect rift you need to be able to clear it. I can say from experience that getting that perfect rift and then messing it up sucks so hard it makes you want to quit. In hardcore the fishing is even more a part of clearing high grifts. You simply do not do a rift where you feel like you will die. I don't see how you can brag about that but that might be just me. It should be more, bragging about the ability to have the patience to even continue fishing for an easy rift to clear. Show me a HC player that clears a rift where there is a chance to die on every single engagement and then we can talk about bragging rights :)

Most likely a casual necro to show how powerful the build is. You can do a necro on non-season and then you have shared paragon. I have my paragon-level since it came out and thats 5 years ago. I currently have 3294. Its not that big of a deal!

i said this to another guy and i will say this to you as well. There are diff builds for necro just cant push as high. Dont tied down yourself to 1 build. If u dont like this style dont play it. This is for the players who do want to push the leaderboard, i cant stress this enough.
As a non-competitive player, I find this incredibly boring. I prefer being able to wipe the board. "Elite hunting" to me doesn't feel like I'm actually playing. What's the point if you leave a ton of enemies behind?

rathmas' singularity mage is fairly strong, its only about 10 gr behind blood lance
unfortunately 10 gr levels is quite a lot at the top. Too bad necro will be single target fest for a long time not only in solo play but also groups.

of course you can make it to the leaderboard with rathmas.. 100 with a good rath build has been done by some paragon 800 necros .

The decrip also lowers cooldown (up to 20%, 1% per affected monster).
I tried this build and it's extremely boring. I tried all 3 sets and they all suck if you ask me

He can only attack during land of the dead, which is on a 120 second cooldown, which is lowered because of gear, paragon, skills.
This is a rare case where yellow elite is easier than blue

Hc is just as easy, except you play with more cheat deaths and defensive skills. It just takes longer to get to the top
