Today his with Tumubu who claims that the buhari he was was clapping for messed up the country and now his singing same song...shame is murdered. This is why i said we don't have journalist in Nigeria and they are the biggest problem Nigeria have. Story

    • @gbadesakin
      @gbadesakin ปีที่แล้ว

      “Technology Transfer…” what exactly does that mean? Are we living in the 70s. Nigeria had its first higher institution in 1947 (Yaba College of Technology). In 1948, the University of Ibadan was established. We’ve had several distinguished higher institutions since then, some of which were able to compete with foreign universities in the 60s, 70s and the early 80s. The graduates of these institutions were some of the best in the world, most of whom are contributing to the economies of the West. Let’s stop making excuses, technology was transferred decades ago but we failed to appreciate and properly exploit it. Just as we aren’t fully exploiting our natural resources. We don’t need Siemens to tell us what do. We devalue ourselves with all this stuff. Encourage and support local engineers, get all stakeholders involved, bankers, insurers, etc map out a business model as to how it will work. Believe in ourselves.

    Seun you are a good journalist but sometimes you fail to pick on very important points when you interview these people. You asked how Siemens are going to be paid and he confirmed that they would provide their services in exchange for gas. I expected you then to ask further the quantity of gas that Siemens would be taking and the value but you let it pass.

    • @ebby7878
      @ebby7878 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I waited for that follow up question too. It never came. I also expected the question why we can't engage the same Siemens to install infrastructure capable of handling double or triple our current 12000mw. That way, we are building for the future. We are flaring the gas anyways.

    • @satistephen6141
      @satistephen6141 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please, listen to the interview again. He never said the funding would be from gas supply. He said the funding would be from a low interest loan facility to Nigeria which will be 85% of the funding while Nigeria funds the remaining 15% from our budget.
      Comprehension should be made compulsory in our schools.

    • @SynergyEnergy33
      @SynergyEnergy33 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is this project not beneficial? The man is right; it is pointless to spend massive amounts of money on power production if you don't even have the means to properly distribute the power you currently already produce. 🙄 Fix the distribution, issues first and then you are able to more clearly see just how much more power production is realistically needed in the nation and at what pace of growth should it continue. This is why more western born and raised Nigerians like this guy are needed in key positions in that nation. Coming from the west, they are trained and accustomed to think in a much more strategic way.
