- As Brits we love a visit to an American supermarket so when we kept seeing Vons across California, we just had to pay one a visit.
So come shopping with us at this American Supermarket we had never even heard of.

Who & what is JJ Extra all about?
We're Jason & Josh, a British couple living in the UK who proudly suffer from wanderlust! After meeting in early 2019 with dreams of travelling the World together we were all plunged in to the chaos of a global pandemic.
Now, as we move in to the future we are making up for lost time and ensuring every day turns in to an adventure, fuelled by our love of food and an unhealthy (but enjoyable) addiction to coffee.
Over the last 2 years we have explored our beautiful home country like never before and in 2022 we have been lucky enough to start travelling abroad once more. Now our dream of travelling the World together has been reignited and this is only the beginning!

I knew which Vons that was in the opening shot. I stop in and get a snack there sometimes when I'm waiting for the bus.
Vons is a well known regional chain in Southern California. I miss it since I moved away.
As a native San Diegan, this made me crack up. Vons is crazy expensive and the only time you go there is or grab a few things and/or it’s the only option haha
I wish they sold the salads and fruit like that over here. It seems silly that we don’t have big fruit platters.

I LOVE the kettle brand chips. Best ones are truffle oil and sea salt krinkle cut if you can find them! 😋

Yes, we do “do” white onions! Not as big as those football sized ones - just normal sized 😉- check your local Sainsbury’s for the real deal….
I wish we could buy ready prepared salads and fruit like that in the UK. They looked beautiful and very tasty. xx

I’m just being honest your best content is when your travelling around England it’s more enjoyable. Not everyone can afford to travel there too.
We appreciate the feedback. We will always have adventures around the UK on the channel (in fact we already have loads lined up in 2023) but we will also have travels overseas too. This year was a little different having spent 3.5 weeks in California, we certainly won’t be doing that next year 😂

Of course not everyone can afford to travel overseas, but that’s what makes videos like this so awesome, you get to see other places and it doesn’t cost a penny.
