Pumpkin is the "new" cranberry. Years ago, cranberry growers mouinted a full frontal campaign to convince America it needed and loved cranberry juice, etc. It took years, but sales soared,. Now we have pumpkin growers who once only sold whole pumpkins and canned pumpkin, for pies a couple of weeks out of the year. Over time, America is learning it needs something it didn't know it needed. Pumnkin (and spice)...!
Sounds like you might be on to something there we’d never thought of that! Given most pumpkin spiced things probably don’t even contain pumpkin but it’s great advertisement
It’s always so fun to visit supermarkets in America and try the different snacks. Anything with chocolate wouldn’t be as good as if it was made with U.K. chocolate though xx
I love it when you visit supermarkets and buy lots of snacky things. They all looked nice but the breakfast granola and yoghurt looked delicious and I may get some granola and try it with yoghurt. Good vlog, thanks lads.
We wanted to get more of those espresso beans but didn’t get time we were so disappointed. It is probably a bit more expensive than the likes of Target & Walmart but probably on par with Publix
@@JJExtra TJ actually is pretty comparable to Target (but not Walmart), if not cheaper on certain items, considering the good quality. :) As someone who shops at TJ regularly and buys the same 5 items, it's always fun to see what a foreigner finds intriguing their first time there!
Woah woah woah, "hud the bus", in other words stop lol, i have only seen 2mins 09 secs and all those things you have either looked at or put in your basket are GLUTEN FREE 🥰🥰🥰🥰 sorry i will carry on watching lol
We loved Trader Joes, definitely visited many Targets on our trip and love a Publix when in Florida but didn’t see any in California so assuming that’s a regional thing???
@@JJExtra probably a Florida retailer…..that’s where I’ve shopped at Publix. Bit like an American Waitrose. A hoot if you haven’t been. If Disney did a supermarket!
"OH their gluten free!!" Yes potato chips are gluten free because Potatoes don't have gluten!!!!! Gluten comes from wheat. If you are excited about gluten free potatoes....well bless your heart
You’re right, potatoes are gluten free but chips are processed and many processed foods contain hidden gluten. That’s why the manufacturer has felt it necessary to print that these ones are gluten free on the packaging because many aren’t 👍🏻
Americans are obsessed with Pumpkin Spice. Basically, all the spices that would go into a Pumpkin Pie but without the pumpkin. Aside from its pie form, I don’t really see American dishes using actual pumpkin as an ingredient. I find that pistachio-flavored things are a bit exaggerated (eg. pistachio ice cream) but when you eat actual pistachios, it’s a much more subtle flavor. I believe the flavor you were expecting from that toffee was the former. Also, “American chocolate is a big crap”? Really? All of America? A country the literal size of Western Europe? Not all American chocolate is Hershey’s. But I will say, and “no offense,” that if you think Cadbury is good chocolate, it’s not. It’s “a big crap” of sugar. 😉
I want to let you know that I'm NOT in love with pumpkin spice, Nicole however. . . Well, that's a different story. I do enjoy cranberry juice, as I believe it had helped keep the potential kidney stone issues out of the way. Anyway. . . On to watch our Trader Joe video from Josie's birthday weekend in Columbus. Can you tell we've been binge watching your videos this evening? Finally had some time where I wasn't editing something.
Binge watching is the best! We tend to do the same. Pumpkin spice is fine in certain things but pumpkins seem to be taking over America 🤣 Ah cranberry… you will always have a special bond 🫢
Right eye closed when eating the pickle potato chips, left eye opened up quite a bit! some in the 'intel' community see this as the universe telling you guys that the pickle potato chips are a little too much on the unhealthy side. (if you look up the singer from the band 'Radiohead'...you'll see they keep his right eye open wide...a lot! and his left eye squinty...whoever the controlling entities are, they signal this way, some say). Thought it was very telling that the guy/partner/etc on righthand of screen experienced the 'eye' issue! Katy Perry also had the 'eye malfunction' if you recall and her right eye lid wouldn't open unless she pried it open. that's how crazy the world can get. (you must be high intel people!) it would seem....

There are pumpkin beers that appear around October. With enough marketing, consumers can be convinced to buy anything. Pomegranate is another one.

Can spend hours in them 😂

Ooo thanks for the tip. We will have to keep our eyes peeled.
Everything but the bagel seasoning popular on avocado toast, along with red pepper flakes.

Thank you Brittany, glad you are enjoying them 😊
No, you're absolutely right. Our mainstream commercial chocolate is horrible. Small batch dark chocolate is way superior.
