My mom and I always sat on our front porch with hot tea, and watched the rain. She loved thunderstorms. When she died last year, there were a lot of storms those first few weeks, and it was so comforting, felt like I was back home. Rain is a beautiful thing, and I love that people put these videos on TH-cam. ❤
When I was a kid, my dad and I used to sit on the top step of the porch (we had a carport so the porch was 100% covered) and watch the rain/lightning while my grandma yelled at him to “get her inside this house!!” but we’d just laugh and continue watching. To this day I love thunderstorms because of that. He passed last year as well so whenever there’s a storm I always think of him. 💜 (I’m sorry for your loss as well. 💜💜)

Growing up, my family and I would always go on trips in our motor home and whenever it would rain or start to thunder, the whole trailer would sound like this. The lightning would light up the entire vehicle with every strike. It made it really hard to fall asleep to at the time, since it was so loud, but now when I think back to it I can remember being a little kid curling up with my family every night of the storm, just waiting for the weather to stop.
