I literally drove 4 hrs last minute from Kamloops when I heard you guys (and the HE-1) were going to be there. Was so glad to catch you two (and Brandon!) on the way out at the escalators and chat briefly. Totally worth it and can’t wait for next year!

I was fortunate enough to actually attend LTX on saturday and getting to talk to DMS in person was absoluetely amazing. Like i ran into him like 9 times I swear i was being followed XD
But in all seriousness, getting to try the HE-1s and other headphones as well as meet and interact with all of you guys was absolutely amazing. I hope to see you guys again next year (fingers crossed Sennheiser lets you borrow it again).

Being right across the street seems super nice to grab that fancy headphone measuring rig .. or lend some headphones to ltt to measure .. or collab in probably some more fun ways.

I'd love to try the HE1 but completely blindfolded without knowing what it was. I really believe that simply being savvy of that detail, even months in of having it around, will still impress on how it is listened to.

Maybe I missed it, but interesting to see they didn't bring any high-end Focal closed backs.... seems like a no brainer for this type of environment ya know. I know they mentioned the Utopia but why no Stellia?

Why cant they come close to the HE1, its been so many years now! And maybe have a well set up MBL 101 mk 2 for comparison. It should be eye opening to many as to whats possible and why people are going for the high end if one had unlimited budget.

The issue is that 99.9% of the people who test this at a convention havn't heard high end electrostat headphones from STAX, Dan Clark Audio, Audeze, HiFiman and that why they are so amazed by the He1. Many people, even seasoned audiophiles get wowed with they try them for the first time (and sometimes after many times). I personally have had dozens of high end but when I tried the STAX X9000 with the BHSE amp, my mind was absolutely blown and bought it asap. To be fair, I have not tried the HE1's but I strongly suspect anyone who tries the STAX set up, the DCA Corina or the Shangri La, it will be at HE1 levels but 20% to 50% of the cost

Most people who tried high end electrostatic will be disappointed with its lack of bass IMO, esp on that busy of a showfloor, He-1 at least stand a chance with its tuning.
Thats true of most electrostats but not ultra high end ones, the lack of distortion in the bass couples with perfect resolution, its on another level. Will certain DD's or planars be better, yes, but purely on bass and not the overall sound quality. @@MuhammadKharismawan
I am not sure the point. This was an exposure event. And they had outstanding headphones like Focal Utopia. This was not shilling for the HE 1, this was an introduction to high end audio headphones. Sounds like it was effective. To that end this was a valuable contribution. You can bring the competitive ideas to Can-Jam.
would really like to pair up the HE1 with the Smyth Research A16 loaded with a PRIR of 24 Omega tower speakers.... that would put anyone over the edge..

I get it, they are probably one of the best out there. But if you are that committed to audio just listen to it live and enjoy the full experience.
