Really enjoyed the Raymond Berry part...dude was a 20th round draft Pick and is on the NFL 100 Team...Unitas was a 9th round draft pick and even cut by the Steelers....I could watch them 2 all day...their commitment to practicing after practice was over, is how they became All-Time Greats at their respective positions and became Champions.

I think CTE is a primary factor in explaining his rapid shift in behavior, but no matter what it doesn't excuse or justify what he's done. Overall just a sad situation to see such a talented player throw their career away.

@marcogil6665 The size of Peyton's head separates him from other quarterbacks. There is a lot more room for remembering plays and audibles with that large of a noggin.

Pretty remarkable for Jerry rice to still hold records in so many receiving categories including yards and TDs 20 years after he retired, especially with how much the passing game has changed since then.

He played an exceptionally long career and not many WRs get to play with the likes of Joe Montana and Steve Young as their QB for 21 years. Also the league, teams, and concussion protocol doesn't let guys play through minor injuries and big hits like they used to, resulting in current players missing more playing time. Even though today's league is more passer friendly, it will still require a perfect storm of sorts to break some records from eras past.
I think we all forget how great Rice was. If he was in totals offenses he’d catch 150+ balls every year and damn near 2000 yards. It’s crazy.
I love AB but I just don’t see enough comments about Jerry Rice. Being 24 I never got to watch him live but watching all his highlights growing up, he was arguably the greatest WR all time. Wish great health to all these legends.

I would have loved to see AB on the Broncos in 2013 with Peyton when was throwing to Eric Decker, Wes Welker, Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas. Adding AB to the mix would have been lethal!
I would have to disagree. Pretty sure he would have screwed up the whole culture like he has everywhere he has been. They had a magic formula working, record touchdowns, and didn't need that extra static or ego. Now if the man could have kept himself in check, and maybe he could have back then, it indeed would have been a lethal combo
@dreichert1438 That's a good point and a very realistic possibility. It's such a shame because AB was so talented and one of the hardest workers. He had all the tools to be one of the greatest receivers of all time if he could have just held it together mentally.

Try to keep my garbage to my self if you know what I mean. And you're absolutely correct, you could have been one of the best ever. Also would have loved to see what Le'Veon Bell could have done had he not went with that flow. Too incredible players who thought the opportunities would just keep on coming. But the window is so small in that profession, not to mention that the physical limitations as we get older

AB was outstanding but I think that Burfict hit started a rapid decline in his behavior. CTE can definitely explain the shift in him, but it doesn't excuse or justify it. Overall just a sad situation to see such an outstanding player constantly throw away their career time and time again.

When he left, none of the other coaches put up with his BS the way tomlin did for all that time. Gruden, belichick, arians. I mean which one of them do you think would act like his homie the same way tomlin would? They're all old school "my way or the highway" types. When he didn't have people kissing his ass in football thats when he started getting in actual legal trouble.

I wish Antonio Brown continued being polite and likable. I just saw an interview with Jerry Rice's son, who caught 45 balls 12 for TDs playing for USC. He is entering this year's draft. He looks almost identical to Jerry but bigger. When you look at their faces, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
