      I played football
I was a Ronaldo fan trying to imitate Ronaldo on the field
Then in 2010 i saw messi for the first time
      It is impossible
      messi is a Genius
Humain being can try to be like Ronaldo
      But Messi is not human
The debate is built up by media for money, for the views

    • @amacuro
      @amacuro ปีที่แล้ว +3

Yeah you are right, the thig touch told the defender the ball will slow down, but he didn't count on Messi not letting it touch the floor and restoring its speed, at which point Messi accelerates again and the defender is wrong footed and realises he lost a step, and Messi shoots like 1 second later, so he was nowhere near blocking that.

@@amacuro in case you are interested: there is another one in Holland game in WC 2022.
Messi's assist: look at the defender covering Messi... He is trying to cover Messi by staying between the ball and the goal as Messi moves across the goal (even though they are a bit far from the goal). But then he suddenly changes course towards his own goal (looks strange because Messi didn't change course). This is the first part, Messi body feign did this, very subtle. Realizing that that's not where Messi was going he corrects course but by the time he just reaches Messi (who appears to get ready to kick) he raises his foot to block. Except the target was not going to be the goal, this is the second part, Messi was actually looking for the assist. So he nutmegs the defender for the assist... 🤯🤯🤯

You guys seem very knowledgeable sports guys. Let me tell you few more things about Messi.. despite how he might seem in those few clips that he doesn't pass that much and takes on players by himself, those are only some highlights. Mindblowingly, he is the first and foremost a playmaker, top 2 playmaker in history of the game (with Maradona) in the final third of the pitch, meaning that he is one of the best at finding the right action in the right moment. his vision, creativity and decision making of passing is second to none. On top of that he has this magical ability to dribble by himself if necessary (which is demonstrated by few of those highlights). So he is one of the deadliest finishers in history of the game (his left foot is insane. The most out of the penalty box goals in modern football), at his peak he was insanely quick and agile with ball control second to none and he is great, creative passer who has supreme football IQ. It is combination of those 3 areas of the game (scoring, ball control and passing) that separates him from anyone else in history. There has never been anyone that has combined such excellence in all 3 areas of the game.. (maybe only Pele who played 60 years ago).

Americans a ot of time complain that Football is boring, not enough goals.
Well we Europeans also don't like 0-0 score lines, that's why when Messi played the whole tuned in.
It was a privilege to see whole career of Ronaldinho and Messi.

I’ve never met any football fan in the whole of England that hates Messi and we are Argentina’s biggest rivals after Brazil. Everyone here loves Messi because he is a football God but also very humble. I wonder if the guy on the right talks in his sleep lol.

13:40 in fact, he is speaking Catalan language, not spanish. Speaker said a lot of times "still, Messi, still Messi, STILL MESSI" and other things like he literally got the ball in the midfield, and ALONE 1 vs 11 scored. He said in his entire carrier he didn't see something like that...

Some of the things you guys say are so ludicrous that they need setting straight.
    1. Right off the bat, the guy in the Yankees outfit says that "Anyone that's not from Argentina hates Messi". That opinion can only be understood by the fact that he's been married to a Mexican for 15 years. The ONLY people who hate Messi are: (a) Real Madrid fans (who suffered humiliating defeats at Messi's hands for over 15 years), (b) Ronaldo fans (frustration and jealous of being overshadowed by the GOAT in all facets of the game except for heading and taking penalty kicks), (c) Mexicans who think they're equals with a world soccer powerhouse like Argentina despite losing to them for decades and never even coming close to winning a major international trophy like the World Cup or Copa América, and (4) Argentinians who revere Maradona and can't stand others comparing him (mostly unfavorably) to Messi. The difference between Messi and Maradona is that Messi is Maradona EVERY DAY, while the genius Maradona only showed up sporadically (like once every 10 or 12 games).
    2. Yankee fan says Cristiano Ronaldo has better ball control than Messi. SERIOUSLY???
    3. 7:02 "the conversation right now is him or Ronaldo". The "conversation" has always been stoked by Ronaldo fanboys who, against all the unbiased evidence (just check the stats), hate that Ronaldo can't touch Messi with a 10-foot pole. This artificial conversation ended for good on December 18, 2022, when Messi lifted the World Cup, a trophy Ronaldo can't even dream of winning.
    4. 13:40 They're not speaking Spanish, the announcer is speaking in Catalan. "Encara Messi" means "still Messi", the announcer is getting more and more excited and flipping out bcs he's still got the ball as he weaves through the entire opposing team. The announcer is also doing a play on words with the Catalan expression "encara més" ("even more", or "still more"). How do I know? I speak Catalan, lived in Barcelona 35 years, watched the game on Catalan TV with this announcer, Joaquim Maria Puyal...
    5. 14:52 The teams were FC Barcelona (blue&burgundy) against Atletic de Bilbao (red&white), playing the final of the King's Cup (Copa del Rey).

Messi has only played for two clubs Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. At Barcelona he had a $500 million release clause to buy him. That means you had to pay $500 million first then a transfer fee too which could have been $200 million plus the release clause $700 million to get Messi, then pay his wages of 1 million per week. PSG got him for free as Messi was out of contract, but they paid him $1 million a week wages. Messi has to be the best player ever, Ronaldo a close second.

good video and analysis. The only thing you didn't realize was that in the last goal shown in the video, he kicked with his right leg and that is his less skillful leg (he is left-handed to kick but on the right he has 50% of the ability he has with his left foot).

Explain Lionel Messi and the other footballing "Greats".
The Greats do things on a football pitch a million times better than normal people.
Messi does things that the Greats don't do, didn't do, can't do, and don't even think of doing.
    Messi is a level above.
He must see the game in slow-motion.
