In 2012 Messi broke the record for most goals scored in a year....91 goals in just 69 matches. For reference, that year Ronaldo scored 63 - which is impressive. But to put how mind blowing what Messi did was into perspective....the entire TEAM of Manchester United scored 85 goals that year. PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) scored 86. Chelsea had 87. Messi ALONE out scored the top teams in Europe... there is no debate 🐐.

Messi went from 0 to 19 mph in a blink of an eye with the ball under his feet and 3 defender in feet 5 of him. That acceleration is equal to an American speed star Jamal Charles but messi did it with a ball in his feet and 3 defender trying to block him. Or Messi vs City when he was playing with Suarez and Neymar upfront, he didn't score in that CL game but he was so good that game. I have seen every single minute of this genius of a player. No one comes close to his overall footballing game, he isn't comparable to anyone, he is in a multiverse of his own.

There are hundreds of great highlight videos. He would have scored so many more goals if every team on the planet wasn't spending all of their energy trying to figure out how to stop him. After his first couple of seasons, everyone knew what he could do. And, they often went out there to injure him -- esp Real Madrid. Even while bleeding from various parts of his body, he tore them up.

It’s what I use TH-cam for…more than anything else. I’m not alone. Billions of others would agree. He’s never changed even. He’s always played the same and been the same rich or poor humble and faithful. He’s one of the best famous athletes out there. He always has the same celebration in grace of his grandmother who forced the coach to let him play with all the other children after they said he was too small. He’s also the best athlete for Adidas “Impossible is nothing” 2006 commercial..He’s the God of futbol. 🙏 ⚽️ ❤

for whom who ever played this sport it's understandable how hard it is to dribble only one defender so now imagine that this guy passed through 5 defenders for not just once or twice but he has 3000+ dribblings in his career which is the most in history..btw ronaldo has a half of it..
also in that video there are like 2% of his greatness, u should check his assists, which are from the other world, like dribbling is the one thing - doing kinda impossible, but his vision and passing ability is just not human..btw he has the most assist in history too, as the most playmaker awards, as ballon d'ors (mvps) as golden boots (the best scorer title), will soon become the most decorated player, he has the most individual awards, he has always been decisive in the big games..even that he's 36 and people called him finished he managed to win the wc with it's golden ball and probably will win another mvp title which will be his 8th, and to define his greatness just by that mvp titles imagine that until messi and ronaldo the most that was ever won was 3 mvp titles..but what's more amazing is that he won it 4 in a row when he was 22-25 years old, so he was already considered as a goat even at 23..
"he's just a god of the game, the god of the game"

Messi is an Argentinian of Italian ancestry. He has played most of his life in Spain for club team Barcelona. His style of play is similar to Diego Maradona, also an Argentinian of Italian ancestry, who played twenty years before him, but Messi was a more prolific goal scorer. He is the best dribbler, the best goal scorer and one of the best passers in football. He absolutely reminds me of Barry Sanders, it's the best comp in American sports. Watch the Real Madrid-Barcelona game from 4/23/17, Barcelona won 3-2. It's the biggest rivalry in the sport.

Absolutely too class reaction my American friend. I will sub. Some stuff for you:
    1) Messi is Argentinian, but he lived in Spain from about age 10 or maybe earlier, training in the Barcelona academy.
    2) I have Messi and Pele as my top two all time.
I have cr7 somewhere in the next 9 which are really hard to order.
I’d love to recommend videos for you of the other 8. Most people don’t know them all. I’m not even going back before the 70s:
    Here are two of them.
    - Romario by MatigolVidz
    - Zico by futbol nacional
It is had to compare eras as the boots and the football are different and especially the pitch quality. Also defenders used to do hacks from behind a lot and destroy the skilled players and break up the play.
Watch some of the Barcelona v Real Madrid games which are called ‘el Classico’ with Messi starting.

Without Messi, Ronaldo would be considered the top footballer of all time. Messi is the best dribbler of all time (I've never seen ANYONE go through 5 or more players as often as Messi. Other superstars would have a handful of such instances in their career. Messi could have an hour of highlights just on his dribbling, Barry Sanders style - he can change directions 3 times in the same time the defender can move one way), the best scorer of all time, and the best quarterback/point guard of all time (based on number of assists). You haven't seen anything yet. He once scored 91 goals during one year (not counting assists), something that nobody has ever seen.

The funniest comment about him is one I heard from Roy Hudson: "He makes the defenders look like garden gnomes".
    A couple of points:
    1) You asked what "race" Messi is. Like about 85% of Argentinians, many of whom are descendants of Europeans, particularly Spaniards and Italians, he's Caucasian.
    2) As for the different hair lengths, etc., bear in mind that these highlights span over a period of approx. 18-20 years, which is how long he's been playing as a professional. He had longer hair when younger, in recent years he has had shorter hair and a beard. One year he even dyed his hair white (glad he got over that fad!).
    3) You also asked whether he was on some kind of performance enhancement drug. When he was a boy he was subjected to growth hormone therapy at puberty for genetic reasons bcs if they let nature take its course, he would have only reached 5 ft in height at best. But in terms of any performance enhancement stuff, they test 3-4 players at random every single match, and Messi has had to pee in a cup hundreds of times, without there ever being a positive. So no, emphatically no, he does not take any kind of performance enhancement drugs - he doesn't need them!!

Messi's ethnic background is mostly northern Italian, with some Spanish.
He is an human anomaly on many aspects.
First is his acceleration, From his late teens to his late 20s, he needed very little distance and time to accelerate at absurd speeds. The goal at 7:57 is a good example of this.
Second is his balance. We witnessed him dribling players while the soles of his feet were not even looking at the ground. He has a much lower center of gravity than most adult males. He looks unbalanced and about fall but he just keeps dribbling players. It doesen't matter If the defender is 9 inces taller and 45 lbs heavier, a typical physical altercation shoulder to shoulder results in the big defender falling down.
Many people would disaagre with me however third is the most important thing about messi is not his vision, not his shooting nor reflexes.
The most important thing about him i His tolerance againts getting hurt and injured.
Messi suffered from growth hormone deficiency in his childhood and received hormone treatment. ıf he hadn't undergone treatment, he would have remained shorter than 4''9. The second most important gain of hormone therapy for Messi is extreme durability. He was subjected to fouls that could have forced the retirement of many professional athletes and resulted in multiple surgeries over more than a year. But he got up in less than a minute and just continued playing.
So in his absolute peak, there was no player in history on football that can stop him on 1v1. In a tussle with him and a 6"5 defender, he could batter down the defender because of his abnormal balance. In a 1v7 situation he was able to dribble all of them because he is the best dribbler in this sports history, and If you just want to hurt and injure him you would get a red card and kicked off from the game and then he would get up 15 seconds later and continue playing.
When you consider he is also the best passer of all time and one of the best, If not the best playmaker of all time it is pretty obvious that he is the GOAT.
At 5:03 you see 23 years old destroying Madrid. In 2010/11 season he was 23 years old an he was performing better than every legend in football history.

As a Ronaldo fan from age 7, Messi is the best. He's different. But, check out my favourite player: Ronaldinho.
We all love him. He might not be as efficient as Messi, bodying a 100 defenders at once. But he pulls off street football tricks in real games, embarrassing pro defenders, having fun on the pitch, and making you question whether he put a spell on the ball.

Both of his feet are golf clubs! He can chip, he can fade it, he can draw it, he can lob it, he can hit a stinger....or pass a PK to an attacking olayer

Ronaldo is even in goals, but in assists and dribbling he's not even close!
Physically fit players can copy a lot of Ronaldo goals, but they can't weave their way through a defense like Messi.

I think you should try to find Barcelona - Arsenal 2010. In that game messi was literally unstoppable, and it was a champions league tho.

The only Uefa champions league final played by those two and obviously Barcelona's Messi crushed MU! Messi is from Argentina, the land of real football! Dont call it soccer bro, American football is new compared to real Football! Vamos Argentina campeones del mundo papa! 🇦🇷⭐️⭐️⭐️🇦🇷
