hi ok so I looked up the flash running up a wall and I found the episode when flash runs up a wall and the streak behind him is not really red and Yellow it's only gold color and the red part is like a red blur that follows his whole body and there are lots of lightning when he is running

What about when Flash runs away from the camera for a long time? I want the lightning to be long, but it doesn't look natural because it's the same size while he is getting away from the camera, it should get smaller, but it remains the same.
How can I make the lightning shorter/smaller when Flash is far, but bigger when lightning is closer to the camera? BTW I'm talking about one frame where the lightning is long.
Multiple frames.. yeah. Just change the size every frame. But one frame and a long lightning won't do. I'm not sure if you got it.
***** If you want the lightning to get smaller as you run away from camera for a long time, you can either animate the scale, or make the lighting comp 3D and animate the Z position. Animating the opacity of the lighting will also help thin it out a little when its from a distance :)

This is awesome! Quick question, if I only have one person playing two roles in my video can I just mask around the person doing the running and then add the effects there? And then afterwards have a separate layer under that one with the same camera scene setup?

I've been watching your videos for a couple of months now (Going back to old videos aswell) And I decided to have a go at making one, I chose this and a couple other Flash ones without knowing anything about Adobe effects, It took a couple hours for me but it was worth it because I love it!

every time i try to move the lightning with my character the lightning stays in one place the whole time

Anthony Jones You can do it one of 2 ways: Use a dust element like I did here (easy) or create the dust using a plugin like Trapcode Particular.

My yellow and red lightning are not entering the footage comp, (for the step of adding the red and yellow lightning and then duplicating, add one to screen, one to lightning etc.) how can I fix that? Or how can I make the lightning go into the footage comp?

When im trying to do the loop running thing theres a huge box in the lighting image. i know wveryone says that if you scale the image too far it doesnt work but if i dont do that it doesnt fit my actor. sorry for bad englis lol

hey grant, sorry for the question but im still new to vfx. When shooting someone reacting on a separate plate, how would you connect it to the flash running fx?
+AWRShorts shoot them seperately and mask them in, just mask sure your actor isn't standing near the path of your flash actor.

+jordy uc If you've clicked the stopwatch on "Origin and direction" then every time you move the lightning animation points it creates a dot/keyframe.
