Oh I’m sorry to hear that. If they still don’t do well this season, I suggest taking the bulbs out of the container or digging them up gently from the ground to see what the problem is. It could be that the soil is too wet or too dry. I hope you have better results this season! 🌸🌿

I love these too! I have Stargazers and Casablancas. Salmon star is definitely on my wishlist. Do you leave the planters out during the winter? would love to know winter care for them
Thank you! Yes these lilies have been in the containers for about 3 years and in the past, I didn’t do anything to protect them. The planters stay out just like that. But then again, our winter is considered rather mild here in zone 8b so maybe that’s why I’ve been lucky. Although I watch out for cold snaps where temperatures drop below freezing. If that happens, I come out and make sure to water the containers well before it freezes. I hope you can get your hands on Salmon Star next season. They’re so pretty ☺️

I buy plants from everywhere and anywhere I see them and oftentimes unplanned 😅 My first time ever buying lilies were as potted plants and if memory serves I got them from Home Depot. Later on I learned that I could easily grow and buy lilies as bulbs (lighter and cheaper) so since then I always buy bulbs and the last batch I got them from Costco. As for my roses, I have about 30 rose shrubs in the yard front and back and majority of my roses are from David Austin. I order from their website as bare roots. Some are from my local farmers market (I have one called ‘Never Alone’) and some from Costco Online store also as bare roots. Thanks for stopping by and for your comment. Happy gardening :)
Lol! That’s funny. I heard some people feel that way about lilac too. I’ve never asked my husband to describe the smell of my flowers before but I want to now haha. He’s not into gardening and rarely comes close to my flowers (which is kind of a blessing because I have free reign to do whatever I want in the yard 😆)
