The long-awaited summer house project is finally revealed.🥰 It literally blows me off my chair and I am absolutely thrilled. Just wow. Yes, it looks massive and big, but I am very sure that the space is well used down to the last centimeter. Enough space for the lawn mower, garden tools, bike, Sherpa's things he needs in daily life and much more. Sherp can't really believe that this is now part of your wonderful property. An absolutely great project. A wonderful video😊 Have a great Wednesday buddy and hope you are well💙👊
Nice shed, Jamie. And as usual my head is spinning with possibilyties.. I Are you planning to put some varnsh or stain on it? Here in Norway, 12V system is comon on older and remote cottages. Frigde, freezer, tv, coffeemachine, toalett and some heating is possible. Power comes from solarpanells that charges batteries. Windturbines is rarely used due to noisy modell. Maybe caravan-shop have 12V-equipment near you?. This was a lot! Have fun continuing planning 😃 (Sorry about any misspellings)
Insulation on the side you want to work in to keep the moisture away and make it more comfortable. Then put up some boards over the wall insulation so that you can then put up your number plates. Also insulation in the roof will help keep it cooler in summer and warmer in the winter. Also fit 2 air vents one at floor level and one at the roof apex for airflow in both sides.
Jaime, You know you’ve “made it” when your outdoor shed is almost the size of the house you live in !!! 😳😂😂😁😉 Now all you have to do is make it sherpy accessible !!
I trued this comment once and it disappeared before I sent it - Jamie, would you consider a ramp across the front in order to enter either doors instead of stairs? It's easier for the mower for sure. It evens out the visual level between the 2 entrances which can make planting easier too. Sherpa could come and go as he liked and there would be no tripping hazards for you when getting tools or carrying larger stuff. I am disabled so accessibility is always on my mind, lol. It is a lovely space. Make sure you include a nice spot to sit outside with a hot or cold drink when you're on a break
I’m disabled as well, so was thinking the same way. It’s good practice, even if you’re not a wheelchair user, to make things accessible from the start as you never know if you’re going to need it. Sherpa would certainly benefit greatly from the ability to get into the summer house without having to jump.
Key. "Hello my bestie, can I come over for a vist?" Sherpa. "No!....we no longer have the room, my wierdo had turned my garden into a glamping site....if you do come over you will have pay like everyone else". Key. "Sorry Sherp youre breaking up"
It was so nice seeing our beloved Sherpa sleeping on one his beds and not the floor ♥ 05:56 WOW! Jamie, that is definitely not a shed! OMGI It is huge. I bet that summerhouse will be amazing in the summer, but not just the summer; any clear day any time of year. I do hope you are able to build a ramp with a gentle incline so Sherpa can walk in without too much effort. 👍
The new summerhouse is amazing! Set up your gym stuff in there alongside your new hobby stuff! Or set it up as air bnb so we can all come and stay with Sherpa haha!
OMG, Janie! The value you just added to your property is well above what you've spent on the 'shed'. Now you can clear out the second bedroom and still have somewhere to store all of those packages and cards until you open them.👍
Hi, Texas lady here. You have very creative ideas! You might want to consider “Summer House” as an Airbnb! It’s can be decorated as an English cottage with a reading chair, a queen bed or a comfy sofa sleeper, small quaint 2 people dining table and chairs or a built on the wall folding table with 2 chairs, small microwave or small electric burner, a couple of dinner plates/cups/bowls/glasses/silverware, a fold down small nightstand next to bed, and ramp onto small platform deck with lights twinkling around the deck. People from all over the world would love to visit your quiet little spot in the countryside. Or, as we Americans like to call it, for men, “It’s a Man Cave!” For women, “Its a She Shed”! What is your favorite theme and turn it into your own getaway spot from your main house. Anyway, it’s a thought of making an extra income for yourself and Sherpa! When I travelled in the past years, I always used an Airbnb because it feels like home away from home, and not in some strange Sparta like hotel and no warmth to it! When I come to England to see my ancestral historical Warwick Castle, I will stay at an Airbnb instead of a hotel. My thoughts aside, you have a great home, a beautiful dog, Sherpa, a new Jeep, and now, a huge shed plus room . Life is full of surprises and grand new adventures to be experienced by everyone. Have fun with your life! I have enjoyed your straight up no nonsense approach and be genuine in your conversations with us viewers on TH-cam channel! Cheers!👏🙋♀️
Beautiful! I would suggest making sure it is sealed for rain all over…maybe add some insulation and electrical…and then use part of it for a workshop. It is big enough to have relaxation space and workspace. I would put some kind of wood sealant on the outside…
It's great to see you and the Sherps doing so well Jamie. You've worked and waited so long. Sherpy must think he's in seventh heaven. Turn your shed into a craft room/ workshop where you can do all your creative and practical jobs. Racks on the wall for tools etc a work bench. It would make a great mancave. ❤❤❤😊😊😊❤❤❤
Loved to hear Sherps got his voice back. I love to hear his hello's. 😄 He seemed to be moving better today. Yay! His sweet face just makes my day. I look forward to that every morning. 😊 And, I like your haircut. Very nice. 👍 Your new "shed" is gorgeous. I'm a wee bit jealous actually. Frankly, I've no idea what to suggest for the remaining space. 🤷 But, I'm thinking it might be nice to put ramps to both doors. So, you have a more secure and safe way to get your mower in and out of the shed. Frankly, I cringe everytime I see you driving up and down two planks. 😲 And, a ramp on the other side for Sherpa perhaps? Anyway, thanks so much for sharing. Love you guys! 🥰🐾🙋
Boy, Sherpa is really in a chatty mood! Just like your typical Teenager! Jamie, your haircut looks great! I don't think it looked bad before. Your new shed will be fantastic & a lot of stuff to put storage into. Enjoy your new Shed! Sherpa had a lot to say about the shed. You can build a small apartment in there for the warmer weather! Lol 😂! Sherpa is such a clever boy to find you in the shed.
@@SherpasDay you can use it as an extra room to stay in during the warmer weather & put an exhaust fan in there, as well to keep the dampness out, a small kitchenette & a bed for you & Sherpa. I'm not sure if you can set up a bathroom 🚽 & plumbing for yourself so you don't have to go back into your house?
OMD Jamie, your summer house is bigger than my apartment. 😂 I love it and I’m so happy for you. It was so cute when Sherpa found you. He probably picked up your scent and tracked you to the summer house. I heard him say “love it” so we know Sherpa gives his paw of approval. Btw, your hair looks great. Hugs to you both from Tennessee USA. 💕🐾
My dear, Sherpas Summer house is spectacular!!!! Congrats!!!! U can make a little living room with TV, a puff, a table to read, many books at the Shelves...many ideas!! Love you!!❤❤❤❤❤
Wow it is huge. Sherpa did a great job supervising. Your haircut looks excellent shepherd does love his yard. Thank you for sharing. Always enjoy seeing the two of you. Have a great Wednesday.❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous summer house, you could have a project of building tables and chairs for when your family come over for dinner. First job...ramp building for your handsome, furry buddy ❤
Hi Jamie and Sherpa, your new shed looks great and you can do so much with the space , anything you want -wood carving, staining furniture so many possibilities. Love Katherine xoxo
Get Solar and go 220V so you can run lights, heat and AC. You can also install a skylight later on. All you need now is a pool and it can be a pool house.
That is lovely Jamie! The first thing I thought when I saw the open space was.. What a great place for a studio! You could do anything in there, oil paint, work with clay, work with wood, you are good at building things,. The best thing is when you are done for the day, you can just leave it as is and go back to it later. You don't to clean up every time. I envy you that. Enjoy
Lots of ideas for your shed.....a work out room with gym equipment, kickboxing bag, yoga, artist studio, man shop, media room, extra guest room (you'll never get rid of your guests 😀😀), storage (but you seem to have comfortable minimalism going on), design studio, sewing room, office, craft room........
I guess the shed/summer house is pre weather proofed. Flooring required Rhino flooring nice and tough flooring, 4 solar panels more than enough for electric lights and a small heater/air con. And keeping your batteries charged for all your tools. Build a long ramp so Sherpa can easily walk in and out. Nice table and chairs not something cheap and nasty in such a nice shed. And install sturdy locks and cameras for security and an alarm.
First thing I’d do is stain the shed to tonally blend with the main house…..then I would cut out a large window into the back wall….then I’d make a stone walkway around it flanked by small trees and shrubs interspersed with perennial flower plants. As regards the interior, I would build a wall to wall desk facing the rest window and use it for editing…..I’d put your telescope in front of one of the front windows….a few wicker chairrs and coffee table. I would also paint the interior …..add shelving and plants.
I think the back wall is up against a tall hedge. I agree about an editing desk and a workspace. The telescope is a genius idea! Shrubs and even container plants will soften the lines of the building (which is beautiful) in due course.
first thing I;d do is insulate it....Jamie seems to be good with his hands and thise panels would be easy to insulate and then hardboard over ..do the roof also and you have a room for all year round..
@@stgeorgesprincipal That is exactly what I said above! I also saw some gaps in the wood at the top inside, where you could see outside. Those need to be filled.
Looks fantastic. Some advice, I would put a coat of clear sealer or something on the floor to protect it in case of any spills, like oil or paint. Insulate the bigger side and turn it into your editing studio for summer.
Very nice! My husband and I have a shed in our garden. We like to take our morning coffee out there, open up the doors and just enjoy the fresh air and soft singing of the birds.
The summer house/shed is amazing! Well done by those guys! I can picture Sherpa once the ramp or stairs are up just lounging in there!😂 Glad to see both of you doing so well and happy! Hope you have a wonderful day! ❤🐾
Sheds amazing that's what I need for a craft room. That's not a shed it's a summer house lol I really love it and it shows how big your garden actually is
Would really want a sink and maybe a composting toilet for someone staying overnight. Implies (expensive) plumbing, but a large basin sink would be very handy for some hobbies.
Looks fantastic Jamie, it's about half the size of my bungalow. I could live in one like that, if I got rid of all my husbands tools, his hobbies, him 🤣
Wow, a nice hugh shed!!! Wish you all the best with it!!! Sherpa sniffed the shed thinking, 'Oh Okay"!! Love when you walk with Sherpa and he gets so excited and talks or barks. Joan and Keith 😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Geez Louise, it’s HUGE! If you get electrical, I think a ceiling fan w/ light AND mini fridge would be GREAT for your “summer house” side! Plus, w/ those large windows, I think it’d be cool to hang a couple of hummingbird feeders!
Tip: Fill any gaps in the summer house, to keep pests out. Saw some along the roof on the mower/shed side. I don't know what wildlife you have around there, but I bet any climbing, creepy, crawly, flying critter would love to make a home of your new build. As always, love to see Sherpa (and you) enjoying life. Happy dogs make me smile, thanks for sharing yours.
I ran electrics from the house via a outside cable inside a hose then dug a trench not very deep to my summer house, dropped the hose wrapped cable in and covered back over, so now it has has full electric lights and 6 double sockets. to run and charge tools.
What a beautiful shed. You and Sherpa always do things right. Thanks for sharing and getting the men some pastries, such a classy man your mum raised.🎉🎉
What to do with summer house? ... Man/dog cave that up! More than enough space for hobby area, workstation, man tools wall etc, set up on one half. Good armchair, little table, small brew station, few hard wearing rugs, EVERYTHING of interest on wall other side to contemplate life resting in said armchair. Job done! I suspect Sherpa will pop in and out a lot to check on you, (A husky's work is never done when it comes to looking after their hooman) he's got a whole garden to lord over/sleep on which obviously keeps him busy. All I can say is I dream of the day I have a 'Shed' like that! Jammie you Jamie! Tis everything you more than deserve my good man. Enjoy😁
The summer house looks so much better than the small shed, you could use it to do woodwork in there, then you can make things like shelves for the side with the lawn mower 🙂 I love making things myself but with being house bound and stuck upstairs it's difficult for me, but I still love making things when I can ❤😊
I suppose Sherpy supervised the guys to make sure everything was correct. Now the hard bit, the decision about what your going to do inside. Can't wait to see what you both come up with. What about displaying all of the number plates you both have?? Lots of Love Annette❤❤❤❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🥰🥰😍😍😍😍
That's a nice shed Jamie. It's huge compared to your last one. Congratulations! 🎉🎊Your property is becoming just the way you wanted. It's so nice to see you & Sherpa enjoy your new home. 👍👏😊 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Wow!! Jamie your summer house is huge, and very nice looking 👍👌You are very talented, and will come up with ideas, as you always do ✌️Your haircut is awesome 😎 Sherpie is so cute looking around to see where you were 🥰♥️ Have a wonderful day!!
I’m so happy for you. I’m a sheddist too. 🤭 I live in an old warehouse with tin walls and roof on the 2nd floor. Boiling hot in summer and freezing in winter but I live in Sydney Australia so the weather isn’t too harsh. Enjoy! Thank you may you both please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Jamie got his new shed. Let's be real. Looks the perfect size for that area. A/C for the summer heat. Sherpa can't stay in that heat. Good start for craft projects. Enjoy yourself my friend. Blessings
The summer house looks awesome! Very spacious and much better than the old shed. Also your haircut is nice. Glad you left some curls. Its nice to hear Sherpa talking on his wander.😊
that garden shed is larger than the apartment I lived in for the first 10 years after moving out from my parents' place! Which was already twice the size of the student dorm room I lived in for the 7 years prior to that!
It's massive, yes. And so gorgeous!! You've really come a long way from the caravan to this... congrats! I'd probably get a couch or an easy chair. Thick and soft. To relax, drink your tea... And a soft bed for Sherpa, once the slope is being installed... but all that's up to you, isn't it? 😊 I'm really looking forward to see how things will become. Big belly rubs to Snowdog Sherpa and lots of love to you, dear Jamie. Your, and our buddy is blessed to have you for his dad.❤❤ 😘😘, 🙋🏻♀️💗🐕
Make a ramp that can fold back in for the riding mower side of the shed so it serves as step as well and a mat under it for any possible leaks. Hopefully it can be backed in so it can drive back out facing forward and think about some insurance coverage as well added for it too. A wall on the room next door with a map of where both of you have or will framed by what fans and from where would be a woof worthy...👍

Wonderful and when we do finally get a summer with showers you can still be outside, both of you
Building looks amazing 🎉
I have a suggestion if you want to name the shed: The Sherpa Mansion.
Haha brilliant 😂
Yould use the space for sitting in the shade for you and Sherpa.
Sheds amazing that's what I need for a craft room. That's not a shed it's a summer house lol I really love it and it shows how big your garden actually is
That’s where sister Sara can sleep when she’s over. 😂
Would really want a sink and maybe a composting toilet for someone staying overnight. Implies (expensive) plumbing, but a large basin sink would be very handy for some hobbies.
You can store all the boxes and gifts you receive and record the unboxing videos right there, as well...👏🏻
Looks fantastic Jamie, it's about half the size of my bungalow. I could live in one like that, if I got rid of all my husbands tools, his hobbies, him 🤣
😂😂
Great choice for your shed/summer house. You’ll decide what is best for it in time, just enjoy the space and it will come to you what to do. ❤️🎉
The summer house looks great. Sherpa is so cute and smart from Colorado USA
That looks wonderful! Summer house, storage, Sherpa shed!!! Excellent!!
Well deserved, Jamie and Sherpa! Thank you for bringing much joy to people around the world.
Agreed ❤
That is a huge “shed”. Lots of great summer memory making and small work projects coming up! Use it and see what purposes come to mind.
I'm so happy for you both. You deserve all the happiness. Here's to more good days. ❤
I love it Jamie. It's so big. Like another house.
Love how the shed came pre-built.
It's awesome Jamie. Very happy for you. 😊😊
It’s a beauty! Congrats Jamie and Sherpa!
Geez Louise, it’s HUGE! If you get electrical, I think a ceiling fan w/ light AND mini fridge would be GREAT for your “summer house” side! Plus, w/ those large windows, I think it’d be cool to hang a couple of hummingbird feeders!
indoor/outdoor carpeting would be perfect in there, whatever you end up doing in there, very cool
Living the dream. The summer house is amazing.
Absolutely love it.
Xx
That is like a log cabin that people stay in at holiday parks
I ran electrics from the house via a outside cable inside a hose then dug a trench not very deep to my summer house, dropped the hose wrapped cable in and covered back over, so now it has has full electric lights and 6 double sockets. to run and charge tools.
Yea thats a good idea 😊
Enjoy😁
The summer house looks so much better than the small shed, you could use it to do woodwork in there, then you can make things like shelves for the side with the lawn mower 🙂 I love making things myself but with being house bound and stuck upstairs it's difficult for me, but I still love making things when I can ❤😊
Jamie the shed is beautiful congratulations ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊
Congratulations on the new shed. You deserve this happiness. Please give Sherpa a kiss and hug for me. Sending Love from SanDiego. 😊
Awesome!! It's a tiny house with an attached garage!!
Yep they're already up 😊😊
What a beautiful shed/summer building.
Love the shed. Much happiness to the both of you.
That's a nice shed Jamie. It's huge compared to your last one. Congratulations! 🎉🎊Your property is becoming just the way you wanted. It's so nice to see you & Sherpa enjoy your new home. 👍👏😊 Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
Congrats Jamie and Sherpa! The shed looks amazing! 😄
Your summer house would make a great crafting studio. It's really nice. Love it!
Wow!! Jamie your summer house is huge, and very nice looking 👍👌You are very talented, and will come up with ideas, as you always do ✌️Your haircut is awesome 😎 Sherpie is so cute looking around to see where you were 🥰♥️ Have a wonderful day!!
Wow what a lovely addition to your beautiful garden, will look lovely with solar lights all lit up on a summers night.
Absolutely incredible Jamie, wish I could move in, Chicago, is getting on my nerves!😳 I never tire of watching Sherpa enjoy his yard!🐺🤗💕💕🥰
Sherpa is so fun!
Sherpa has his own batdog cave!! ❤ looks great! You guys have achieved so much in the last 6 months! Well done! 😊
Jamie got his new shed. Let's be real. Looks the perfect size for that area. A/C for the summer heat. Sherpa can't stay in that heat. Good start for craft projects. Enjoy yourself my friend. Blessings
Your new shed is as big as some people’s homes. Congratulations! Also it was good to hear Sherpa talking to you again
The summer house looks awesome! Very spacious and much better than the old shed. Also your haircut is nice. Glad you left some curls. Its nice to hear Sherpa talking on his wander.😊
I Love Him... Sherpa talks so sweet... He is so Special. Thank you Jamie for sharing him and all the adventures with us.
that garden shed is larger than the apartment I lived in for the first 10 years after moving out from my parents' place!
I'm really looking forward to see how things will become.
Big belly rubs to Snowdog Sherpa and lots of love to you, dear Jamie. Your, and our buddy is blessed to have you for his dad.❤❤
😘😘,
🙋🏻♀️💗🐕
Make a ramp that can fold back in for the riding mower side of the shed so it serves as step as well and a mat under it for any possible leaks. Hopefully it can be backed in so it can drive back out facing forward and think about some insurance coverage as well added for it too. A wall on the room next door with a map of where both of you have or will framed by what fans and from where would be a woof worthy...👍
The new shed is absolutely beautiful. Hope the wood is treated or weather-proofed I should say. Yes that would be a great place for working on hobbies
