never played shenmue however I'm used to that noise from skies of arcadia or RE Code Veronica :P still have a working Jet Set Radio and Sonic Adventure Nice vid, I need one of these and I need to replace my controller port fuse... I'm down to just 1, one of them died we are lucky sega included two and I was able to short out the dead one and make the other work w/o any tools
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'm looking for copies of SA and SA2, myself, but I'm sure you've seen what the prices on those titles are like lately.
Here are some things I'd look into: Check the continuity between the terminals in the battery holder and the traces on the board to make sure there's a good connection. I'd also double check the battery is installed in the correct orientation; unfortunately, it's easy to put it in backwards. If those all look good, I'd check the voltage on the new battery. If it's low, reinstall it in the console and power it on for about two hours. That should charge the battery most of the way.
Painfully underrated channel. Your videos are so well put together and presented. You deserve way more subscribers. One more here!
Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback, and I'm glad you're enjoying my videos!
That's wild! I never knew rechargeable 2032 batteries were a thing
This was news to me as well when I first researched the issue! Thankfully, that offers us a pretty simple solution!

I really should do this
I did this and it still won't hold the time and date.
