Oh my god! Your film made me cry like a baby. It captures the fundamental essence of the art of fly fishing. Greetings from your fly fishing brother in the Kootenai River Valley in Montana. (Gods Country!)
Another Small masterpiece !!! I enjoy the ambiance of the studio : the candle, the old desk, the tools are his good friends, botles of whisky... And all that for a unbelievable reward ! Life is sometime perfect Cheers from France 🇨🇵
I'm still picking up my jaw, as it dropped to the floor! Great fly, great fisherman, great fish and an even greater short film! Congratulations and thank you for this once again fabulous piece of heaven you bring us!
Absolutely stunningly spectacular! Beautifully done! Again, another masterfully crafted work of art! Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us Krister :) "stunning"
You put some silicone onto a needle. Then you dub in some flyrite and the tail before the silicone has dried. The fisherman in the video makes the bodies himself but there won't be any tutorial video unfortunately. I think you can figure it out though. Good luck and cheers

No words .. Just to see and hear the nature. This video is completly stunning .. How is it possible to capture like that the spirit of fishing Brown trout ? Absolutly brillant. Thank you so much.
Another fantastic vidéo...... Bravo !!!! Quel magnifique poisson !!!
+1 Great movie. I, too, are lost on river, lake fishing fly fishing. I also watch what the fish eats, what it hunts, and I also make insect-like flies. I love this Flyfishing.
David Brilliant so tranquil and relaxing completely at one with the river and natural surroundings, looking forward to the coming season so inspiring many thanks.
Great video. I REALLY love when you film when youre tying flies. Its just you, quiet, alone, the only sounds we can hear, (in the flytying part)are the sounds of the equipment when you are placing them back on the table. Thats the thing who make your videos more special. Well done
Thanks so much for allowing us to see your vulnerable side. I just love the sounds of silence and how you portrayed your journey Spot on! Absolutely love your style. Don’t change👌🍻
Well I don't make them myself. It's Anders, the guy in the video, who makes them. I think he makes them with silicone and putting some dubbing fur in it before it dries. Cheers
Wow, that brown was unbelievably powerful and gorgeous. I enjoy watching videos of dry fly fishing for trout, but your videos are truly a work of art. I feel like I'm there with you from every step of tying the fly, to the presentation and finally to the take. I feel so blessed every time I watch your videos! A question, does someone go with you to do the videos?Tight Lines!
Thanks Sherian. Really appreciate your comment :) Regarding your question, I'm not sure you're aware that you're communicating with the film maker on this channel. Not the fisherman. So if your question was directed to the fisherman, the answer is yes. He has me, the cameraman by his side. If you meant to ask me, the film maker, the answer is no. But it would be really helpful to have a person doing the sound recording because it's really tricky to capture good sound at the same time you're handling the camera. Take care :) Cheers
Great vidéo. When I see you it's very simple, a fly home made, a glass (aquavit ?) and after you could a monster trout. Congrats and Thanks for this moment.
What a stunning little film. I live in Wiltshire, England and have a small chalk stream in my town. Sadly the wild brown trout are a heck of a lot smaller that the monster in your film, but they are beautiful. I fish for them with my much loved Orvis Superfine Carbon eight foot, two weight. I struggle to cope with the slower action of the Superfine Glass, but wondered what line you're using here as it seems to work perfectly?
Thanks Richard. Good to hear you enjoy the video :) I'm sorry but I really don't know which line he's using. It's a #5 if I remember correctly but I don't know the brand. Cheers
It's made with a needle indeed Randy. You put some silicone on the needle and before it dries you put some flyrite on the silicone. Not that complicated actually. Cheers
Awesome short movie, nice Green Drakes hatch in Sweden, lovely tied pattern with a bit of fine rotgut help..., what a camera take with trout coming back for a drake!
Thanks Austin. Glad you enjoy the videos :) There are lots of other species around, e.g. pike, perch, chub, salmon etc. Sometimes we do fly fish for pike, which is lots of fun, but it seems that we always come back to the brown trout. That's our favorite fish for sure. Up north we also fish for arctic char and grayling. There are some videos from that type of fishing on the channel so you might wanna check them out. Cheers
Amazing! Need to learn how to fly fish... Can you recommend a first fly rod? Something to learn? I would really appreciate that as I only spinning at the moment cheers! Btw. You are my inspiration since I started catching trouts! Tight lines!
Thanks. Appreciate it :) It's not easy to recommend a fly rod. There are many brands and they are all fairly good nowadays. The rod is the most important equipment in fly fishing so I wouldn't recommend to go too cheep. It will be trickier to learn how to cast and it won't be as much fun if you don't go for a decent rod. Let's say that around 200 bucks would be least I would spend on a rod. The best rods cost around 1000 bucks. The line is also important and the seller should be able to pick a suitable line for the rod. The reel comes third. Brands like Orvis, Vision, Sage, Winston, Guideline, Loop etc are all good. Cheers

That's great ! Like a Dream ! A dreamy dream The images of the beginning are completely wonderful. The middle shots are deliciously intimate and I drink at the health of Carpe Diem Tchin! Tchin :-) The Green Drake fly is perfect, but still, I find that it lacks the leg that rises from the original)))) Then I recognized the place, remembering an old video that was like a dream too. Is it the same trout that grew up? It must be said that the very juicy Green Drake makes trout very pretty * This one is monumental! Well alive, and I wish him a long life hoping that in a distant video we will find it! Thank you" very much for that moment of wonderful dreamy dream !!!
Thanks Fario. Very much appreciate your comment and your nice words :) Just a comment on the legs of the imitation. We find that the trout really prefers flies that lies right in the surface film. Seems that they avoid insects standing too high on the legs which is an indication that they are alert and can fly away quickly. The trout doesn't waste any unnecessary energy you know. Anyway, we find the parachute hackle definitely superior in that respect. All the best and cheers
I appreciate Gracias !!!! With your video, you open my eyes, with your words you open my mind )))) Maybe one day the Trouts will have a fridge !... .... unless it is already the case ;-) Until that time, we can enjoy spending time togethers around about et à l'intérieur FISHING

Where do you get the bodies for your drake/mayfly patterns? Or do you make them yourself? If you make them any chance of a how to? Great video!

Hello, could you please show us how you make the extended body part you tie on, I assume its with a needle... Thanks...
It's made with a needle indeed Randy. You put some silicone on the needle and before it dries you put some flyrite on the silicone. Not that complicated actually. Cheers
Perfection.
Could you give me the recipie for that detached tail please??
