What a river and what trout! Welcome back. It’s been too long.
Here in the South of England we’re having a proper summer for the first time in well over a decade with temperatures in the 30s. It’s been so dry that the chalk streams are very low and very clear so the fish are easily spooked. The stalking of trout has to be early in morning or late in the evening with an extremely stealthy approach to have any chance. The other factor is the water temperature which has been above 20C at times - not good for the fish so it’s best to leave them unmolested. I haven’t been out on a river for ten days so a Carpe Diem video is just what the doctor ordered.

Your video's are the best fly fishing videos on youtube. I discovered your channel a few months ago and enjoy them. I enjoy them even more after I decided to activate the close caption feature and found subtitles in English. The only criticism I have are that the videos are not more frequent. Then again I prefer quality over quantity. Truly outstanding filming and production.

Kul å höra av dig Freddan :) Vi var där veckan före midsommar. Vattenståndet helt okej. Ska dit nästa vecka igen med Rolf men då kommer det bli svårare. Vissa sträckor är avstängda och det finns i princip inga dagsländor så det blir bara stl 22 knott på tafsen. Svårt men sköj :) Ha de

It's fun to watch, but if my guide kept grabbing my rod like that i'd be fuming. Then he just takes it and catches that fish on the nymph LOL. I'm sure they are more friends also so makes more sense.
