    Great video !
It deserves ten times the amount of views it has.
The "graduated" / regulated breathing is genius.
I kinda discovered the same thing on my own, but you clarified and confirmed what I was experimenting with.
I just started (finally) playing the sax two weeks ago at the ripe ..er young age of 66 going on 67.
I'm able to (finally) get some notes out the sax !
Ok I've only been "playing" for maybe 10 hrs ;), but the sax sure ain't no "piano" !
And I can actually play them (rather) quietly, a great thing when living in a condo !
I've watched your other videos on embouchure, and they are great too.
I wish I found this video first.
You are a great teacher !
    Thanks for posting this
    Mike

Hey Mike! Thanks so much for your nice words! So glad I was able to help you! Doing that transition well will really teach your body (and face) to have just the right amount of pressure when getting a note.
Well done! Keep up the good work!
Let me know how everything progresses!
      Best,

You are explaining everything so good, Martino. Thanks a lot for that. It is such a big help and so important to produce a perfect note. And as beginner I should take much time in doing your instructions.

I just get a screeching sound. 🥺 What am I doing wrong?

    • @LondonSaxophoneSchool
      @LondonSaxophoneSchool  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey Regina! It sounds you are forcing the sound out which means the embouchure is a bit too tight.
Be sure to start from a relaxed state. Do the exhale sound (phase 1) being sure your facial muscles are super loose. From the phase 2 and 3 will be easier and the sound should come out more naturally.
Feel free to join oir Saxophone Masters private facebook group where I will be able to guide you better😀🎷
