The cat I had before my present one was brought to me on one of the coldest days one December afternoon, she travelled inside the shirt of the person who brought her to me at six weeks, upon receiving her at the door I put her in my sweater pocket and she never left my side for just short of 20 years. She followed me everywhere, she slept in my arms under the covers. How I miss her, she died in 2013. The cat I have now was also brought to me by a friend at six weeks but sadly she is not a cuddler though can be very loving at times, she does spend part of the night sleeping at my head though she moves around a lot during the night. They are all so different though I've always had a cuddler just not this one. Oh well.

@@TheCatClassroom It would have been better than their fate otherwise as they were all not wanted and who knows what they would have been subjected to. I already had a cat and a large dog at the time so I couldn't take more than the one. Incidentally, I never had any problems with any of my six week old kittens unless you count my poor house

Thanks Victoria! Really do appreciate the knowledge and input! My kitten definitely gravitated towards me and she still does 🤗 Definitely looking forward to learning more from your good self. 🤗

My cat tapped me on my back, when I turned around he patted my cheek and licked my nose. The following years were great. He passed away last week. He is missed. I will not get another cat. I’m 86.

You seem like the perfect 'cat mom'.
Have you considered being a foster mom?
You have the sensitivity and compassion to make a real difference.
      God bless.❤

I agree about fostering. No matter how old you are, the love you give and receive helps complete you.
I am sorry you lost your fur child, but know he is in heaven and happy.

The kittens are fully trained by Cat Command before being sent out to help in the aim of taking command of the universe.

If the mother cat trusts you, the kittens mostly trust you too. But be sure that the kitten you want is at least 13 weeks old. That is important for you, the kitten and the mother cat.

@@erikabee3498 yes but even the siblings can react different although the mother likes you 😅 it was like that with my both cats..their siblings walked away and played with eachother.

@@TheCatClassroom well that is okay too.
But I am speaking about my own experiënces.
And ofcourse kittens are kittens... have patiënce with them... that is another way to their hearts.

That is true. Kittens when they are about 12-14 weeks have had a good education from the mother. If you take 8 week old kittens from the mother they don't even know how to completely wash themselves.

@@sarahstrong7174 Yes I had 3 cats... two of them had enough training to be adopted by "new parents".
Only Ollie was not trained op the potty And no he did not like the hard brocks.
And the home he was supposed to grow up... did not want him, after I told them that he was not yet Pottie trained and did not wanted to eat hard brocks.
So I kept him... and I never regretted it.
He teached me more, than I could concider!

I didn't exactly catch the final word of your phrase, "These adorable little fur xxxxxs". No, they're kittens, period. Over here in the UK owners all too often employ the term, "fur babies" - aaaaaaaaa! It makes me want to scream from the rooftop.

    I wish you wouldn't use yuck‐puke terminology.

Thanks for your feedback. Could you clarify which terms you found uncomfortable? I'd like to understand better.
