tSU mix of Dirty Diana and Star Wars Darth Vader's Imperial March was really really nice. @KBThaBandhead you're are ,as always, on point Execution and Energy were the difference maker. And im going to add Entertain (majorettes performed a pyramid routine) for the triple E. UAPB played some really good music...at some point, the band as a whole, got to turn it into a jam session. Not just DM or BD. When everybody is jamming, it comes through especially when its a song the audience knows and sings along.

UAPB was a monster back in the early 2000s, especially 2003-2005. This will probably be their last year at the Southern Heritage Classic (attendance has tanked last two years) but at least they got some good exposure.
I thought there was 25K in attendance.

@@chrismontrell 3 different sites said it was 25K. Maybe they confuse the capacity and the attendance. UAPB has a terrible team, and they don't have the presence in Memphis they once had. It might take a minute for people to get used to a different opponent

KB The Reason Why They On The Same Side They Remodeled The Stadium
UAPB is on the come up for sure! But right now they’re sound just has to mature. I think by the end of this year they start to pull it together.
They are doing contruction on the other side of the stadium. So it's only the lower bowl open on the other side. They have the press box & the whole middle of the stadium completely gone on the opposite side.
I figured this much because the sound in the stadium didn't sound like it was holding balance wise.
Almost 30K seats have been torn down at the stadium for renovation. I still would have gone to the game, but I had to make the BoomBox. I don't like the bands having to be on the same side, but I'd be interested in what the game atmosphere is like with JSU there in a smaller stadium. Neither band sounded particularly great to me, but TSU seemed to be better from about round 4 on. I wonder if the problem is the mic on the camera. TSU is lucky the BOOM wasn't in this game and UAPB will be in trouble if they bring this band to Jackson
