GOOD
- Solid metal construction
- Sturdy shaft

Same here but you have to buy a USB adapter for each item which is really bad.
As a Fanatec wheel owner, I like the fact that I know I haven't paid extra for a usb dongle I would never use.
I used to use the Sequential shifter function on my Logitech G25... but then they took that feature away... and gave you a shifter that was only H-pattern and charged you the same money .... then I had to use 4th gear on the regular g27 shifter (yea it was awkward) ... then they took away the shifter completely... and charged you the same money for only the pedals and the wheel... sufficive to say I'm now using a CSL Elite but since I literally had to remortgage my house to buy it (after shipping, exchange rate and import taxes which basically doubled the fucking listed price) ... I'm still without the money to buy a handbrake to go with it... much less a shifter.... the paddles are great but this is the one reason I'm not running Global Rally Cross in iRacing which is really fun ;(
Just try to build one yourself. I decided to try to do it after seeing the price of this handbrake. It's really expensive. I'm still thinking how am I going to do it. xD

Sorry bud, but I just saw this and I got a question: how much space is between the shifter and the brake? Are you smashing your pinky knuckle if you shift into 6th or 7th?

got a joystick, tore off the handle and glued a bike handle on it. Now just looking for how to make it more strong/resistant. good, easy, cheap alternative tho

Might be a bit late, but the way you have it mounted here, how are you accessing the lever to switch between H-pattern & sequential? I've had to mount mine at a lower angle, which isn't ideal, but gives me enough clearance to reach the switch.

I'm a fanatec fan but i have not the hand brake! My friend have logitech g29 and he play PC. You tried to use the handbrake direct usb in pc ? (with the adapter). It work ? is possible to use G29 with this handbrake ?

i've got a problem when i pull the handbrake the calibration is completly off it inputs 100% when im just halfway through the traveling of the handbrake
I think you can reconfigure it in Windows though the usb joystick properties screen 💪👍

where does the handbrake connection go to on csw base ,i have shifter 2 plug spare but thats all,there are no spare ports on clubsport pedals,ive ordered so hopefully i dont have to send back after fanatec didnt answer my question with any result im still in the dark as to how to connect!
Mine is not being detected, and when i pull it nothing happens. The computer recognizes it, but it says it is a shifter? Any tips for me?

what if you cant assign the handbrake in assetto corsa? It appears its recognizing the handbrake because the bar turns yellow when you pull the brake but the white bar is stuck all the way to the left and doesnt move. the handbrake is plugged into the pedals.

My hand brake is engaged when the lever is at resting position and handbrake is disengaged when I pull the lever. Any tips?
Re calibrate it ? Or invert the settings in the SIM you are playing

Why does my fanatec shifter not have a spot to mount the handbrake to the side like yours does? There are no screw holes on the either side
You use the slidy screw thingies and place them on the side then screw it onto them 👍

I figured it out. You have to unscrew the bottom 4 corners first. Thanks for the reply though.

Using for the first time in WRC9 but finding it’s too sensitive and more like a button on/off switch.
Can you recommend settings for WRC9 to make it feel more progressive and less like a switch?

I'd add deadzone in the settings for the handbrake. Try 5% and increase to your liking

I too have the Fanatec CS shifter & handbrake. But, when I tried side mounting the HB to the side of the shifter like in your video, I kept hitting my knuckles on the HB shaft when shifting to higher gears. Are you using some kind of spacers?

I noticed you were playing some Dirt Rally... One question I have had is how you feel about the slidy handling of RFPE mod or the newer Alternate Physics mod.
I just play the default physics :) End of the day you can go from mod to mod same with RBR but they tend to just end up being "different" rather than better or worse on the whole within the grand scheeme of Dirt and RBR. I dont thing vanila dirt is perfect by all means but one thing I like about it is just loading it up without messing around and just smashing some stages out.
I'll have to try the mods out at some time though , got some RBR mods to test as well :)

Beware, half plastic axle, over time destroys potentiometers even if you replace them. Get something else until there is a redesign from Fanatec.

Just gave it a wiggle , not feeling any left right play in mine, the metal bends a tiny bit but not enough that I have ever noticed it when driving.

Just a shame it's not load cell.
They should have allowed this for us heli simmers to have used it a basic helicopter collective in the horizontal position and an option to change the return spring for some sort of up down movement where the stick stays in the position you leave it. What a wasted opportunity Fanatec.

Why do you have the handbrake and the shifter on the right side as you are from England. I'm going to install my shifter tomorrow and I was thinking with side to use. I'm not English but currently in UK that's why the question.
gizmundos most sims have a majority of left hand drive cars. It just makes sense to do it that way. I'm Aussie and i changed mine. Took a while to get used to but in vr the immersion is much better with shifter on the correct side.
gizmundos for me the main reason is that it's easier to film that side of the rig at the moment.
Personally it doesn't bother me using ether side never had an issue swapping over.

Terrible design decision to us a 3.5mm jack plug sticking out of the bottom, my knee hits it all the time, why didn't they at least use one at an 90 degree angle so it is at least flush with the base. This is now becoming very loose over time, and the connection not very stable now causing fasle readings in the software. i think a different connector should have been used..
In Assetto Corsa my Fanatec Handbrake is shown both as an analouge lever and a button !

some "company" from Poland advertises that their brakes are better and the handbrake fantec bends and is a cheap toy, what do you think about this GM?
they say "Unlike Fanatec, this handheld does not bend away from looking at it, it is definitely more solid. And it is much cheaper."
I have the HB 1.5 and I agree it's a poor design and not reliable. I had to mod mine to be reliable. Sorry to say, this piece of Fanatec kit is not bn880 approved.

There is so little use for one though.
Yep its only really worth getting one if you are a rally/drift fan or maybe want to park on a hill and hold the hand brake manually.
For Rally, I find powersliding more reliable than using a handbrake.
Then again, it's probably just me 'cause my handbraking technique sucks.
If this device had support for the PS4/XBox One as well as just the PC I'd be all over it.
Until then I'll just use my spare TH8A shifter in analog handbrake mode for the PC sims I play.

Yes, I've looked at that. I used to own the original CronusMax back when the PS4 first launched.
I used it to try and get my Logitech G25 wheel/pedals to work with the PS4, but it was too early in its development and never worked correctly.
I've seen good things about the DriveHub though.
I may pick one up so that I can use my T300RS Wheel & T3PA-Pro Pedals with my XBox One, and if it works well then I'll just sell my TX wheel.

who the hell mounts handbreak verticaly. Train simulator much?
Can I just add that on most modern vehicles that have 4 sets of disk breakes handbreak weakly acts on all 4 wheels, so you cant really do the instant trolley magic. On some french cars handbreak acts on front wheels only, I assume they just want to see world burn a little bit. I find that simulator games give people very wrong ideas on how actual modern handbreak will work. Plus most of them are so weak they won't lock up the wheels (which is by design) unless you are driving on ice covered with dishwasher soap.
Rallying, drifting, hydraulic handbrakes are all vertical.
Hydraulic handbrakes have been around since the 80's at least.
名前 家名 99% of hand brakes are only on the back wheels. I've never seen a 4 wheel hand brake in my life. Also this hand brake is designed to simulate rally cars that are designed to lock up the rear wheels as well as drift cars which have a extra set of calipers in the rear just for the hand brake. You should leave the train simulators alone, they probably knew both those facts.
