hey joe, just watched your rankings of the shows you've seen and didn't see outlander on there, you probably have enough shows to watch right now but might be one you would enjoy in the future!
I feel like while Dexter was being rude and obnoxious in this situation, he was also speaking facts. Emma got into teaching to avoid doing her true passion writing cause it made her feel uncomfortable and bad , but if she just works through it she can write great novels. She does need to work on finishing what she started. And honestly, I think Dexter did Make a point in calling her out and saying that she’s not where she wants to be with her career and she is just avoiding it by teaching. He made it happen by being rich and famous and Emma should not mock and look down on him (mocking him that he can’t write a review for cocktail bars, etc) and he actually achieved more than she did. However, I really believe he should have said this in a MUCH kinder way and advices her rather than call her out-wrong time to bring it up
I do think that Emma and Dexter have nice chemistry and I was very glad to see them together in this episode, but damn, its been so many years and they still have never hooked up? Weird. It does seem though that Dexter is always offending or hurting Emma in some ways though, I am kinda surprised they stayed friends. They're so different. I am not sure the show is for me. It has SO much potential but it feels like these two are just fighting all the time? Like its uncomfortable to watch most of the time.
I really hope you give this show a try! Their story is definitely a slow burn “will they/wont they relationship.” They don’t always argue. As for the friendship, opposites attract as they say. :)
@@demiworld1011 It's short enough and only 1 season, so I am going to finish it. In fact I just finished ep 9 and will watch the remaining 5 today. I cant say I love it or it will be one of my favorites though. While I like emma and dexter a lot, I feel like the premise and short episodes just dont work. And we arent able to full see their relationship, which bothers me. On top of that, there are 5 eps left and they are still very distant. The whole show feels very separated to me. But, we'll see how I feel after watching the end bit.

Although it's sad to see Dex and Em split up, this is still one of my favourite episodes. The acting is spot on from both sides.

Dex in this episode is a real prick but he is also correct about Emma she is always judgemental and snarky
To be fair, Emma does mature, grow and change as the series progresses, so I wouldn’t say she’s always like this.
