I knew CC as we grew up in the same small town of Monroe, North Carolina. As a juvenile, Carlo made a very unwise decision to break into a church so he could play the it's beautiful sounding organ. He did the wrong thing for the right reasons because he was becoming a budding great musician. After he got out of reform school, as it were back, then he played for the local churches. I used to stand beside him and watch him play like nothing I'd ever seen before. He was a rather unique individual; strange I would say. But he was a great artist.
Carlo, It is so good to hear you again and enjoy your beautiful playing! That Cornet V is quite good and sounds heavenly as a solo stop. Hope you will continue to share your talent with us. RayTipton
I have enjoyed the playing of Carlo for many years. His recordings for Allen Organ are most enjoyable. I have been looking for a digital recording of him playing at, I think, the King's Chapel in London in the 60's or 70's. Gigot's Gran Choer is one of the performances. fcb
Very well and very musically aptly played indeed, but.what a hideous "organ" sound. It is grating to your ears. This screaming boom box has absolutely NOTHING to do with an organ, and its noise has nothing to do with any organ sound..
What a joke! Has no idea of interpretation other than the Virgil Fox method "Just plow through Bach!" Trills are very unmeterical and makes the educated listener cringe! Why am I even wasting my time.....
amazing harmony,,beautifully played.
Absolutely breathtaking. Yes, to tears.
It was with much surprise and shock that I heard of Carlo Curley's passing. What a great talent the world has lost and at such a young age.

Anyone who thinks that Carlo is more showman than organist should listen to this :)
Who needs to be an educated listener when it sounds this good
