@@JohnPaulMusicUK Can I use a Midi pedal to emulate the 9 RC 600 switches on the 505 MK2? This would give me the same functionality of the 600, but with the added buttons on the 505. Good idea?
Hey john Paul, wondering if you could trigger drum sounds from the Rc 600? Like a snare drum on a pad and bass drum on another, that kinda thing so you don’t need a full kit playing. Thank you for your time, Mike T
Hey Michael. That’s a neat idea but not to my knowledge, no. Maybe you could set two custom ‘beats’ which just have a kick and snare and then set them to pedals.. but to be honest I’ve got enough pedal dancing going on 😂🤣 🦶
John Paul thanks for sharing and teaching. I am confused about the verse to chorus in single mode for the 600. I thought when one loop ended the next would automatically begin to play. i.e.; start on the verse, loop ends, chorus auto begins, chorus ends, verse auto begins. Is that correct? I get it to work one time like chorus to verse and then silence. Do you have to press play each time for the chorus and verse loops?
John Paul… great videos! Thank you so much! I just got the RC 600 and have two questions I was wondering if you could help with: 1. When I first turned on my unit, the fourth knob below the screen was master effects reverb, But when I turn it, it just changes from modes one, two, and three. I tried customizing all four knobs by moving the master reverb to the third knob and putting master compression to the fourth knob. When I did, I could control master compression from 0 to 100, but my master reverb on the third knob still just changed the modes. Ie…I can’t apply reverb to everything such as the rhythm sounds, like I used to on my boss RC 505. 2. Do you know if it’s possible for me to queue up the next track instead of it being instant? Ie, I know I can build a three-part song, for example, on tracks one, two, and three (where one is the verse, two is the chorus, and three is the Outro). But I want to queue up those tracks rather than hit them right on time (when the chorus should start). In other words, I put my verse on track one and set it to single mode instead of multi, and then I made my chorus on track two and also set it to single mode instead of multi. But while track one’s loop is playing, if I hit track two’s play button, I was hoping that it wouldn’t instantly switch from track one to track to right then but rather start playing track two after track one’s loop is done. But every time I click track two, it instantly switches in the middle of track one’s loop. Does that make sense? Thanks so much!
More than welcome. Q1 - do the firmware update. It fixes that exact issue. It’s a bug. Q2 - yes you just need to change the play behaviours to loop end instead of immediately. Go to LOOP>PLAY and change the start and stops there. Then when you hit the next one it will cue up and play once the first one has finished. 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK Genius! Thanks so much for the helpful reply. On the first one, I updated the firmware, and yes, that solved the issue, though the reverb is very very small and short compared to the RC-505 I had before, which made the drum tracks and everything far more reverb filled and echo-y. On the second one, perfect! That solved it. Thank you so much. Appreciate your help👍
Yeah I wish you could pick the kind of reverb on the master. I have a long reverb assigned to Input effect D bank A so I can achieve a church hall style effect when creating harmonies.. but yeah I get it.
So my Vocal mic is a FiFine K8 which is cheap as hell but it has great rear rejection. Secondly, when I record like this, the speaker is very low to reduce spill. The other way is to play around with the noise suppressor on the RC-600. But in a live environment you will get stuff coming through.. it just happens.
Great stuff. You have some new an RC600. Just one thought - if sing in English and not American and would sound way more authentic in my view. They said, you are are fantastic as a performer.
interesting i really like the song and also the cover but maybe you can work on the settings of the filter btw have you ever tried looping with the rc505 cuz i am doing some house/ edm stuff with the rc505 you can check this out and maybe catch some inpiration :)
Hey John Paul hope all is well I have a question for you you’re stranded on a Island which looper do you take RC 600 or Headrush looper board thanks Mike T, great videos keep them coming cheers’
Hey johnpaul, hope all is well, great videos!!!! Question for ya, your stranded on an island 🏝 Rc 600 or head rush looper, can only have one ☝️ which one do you chose 🍻
Michael.. love this.. and saw your message on Bandcamp. So… my answer is… RC-600. The customisation is off the charts and the effects are more to my liking. Obviously stranded on an island I would need a power supply (maybe solar power station, mic’s, instruments & PA or speaker). And maybe a knife for, you know, survival. But to answer your question.. it’s the Boss RC-600. Definitely.
2 hours into your videos now, working out the RC-600 pedal I just received from Boss. Thanks for doing what you do man it's a great help 🖤
More than welcome. 👍🏻

Great album.. and heard them on BBC RADIO 2 acoustic sessions and it inspired me to go back to the original.
perfect rendering and especially singing John Paul!
Thank you 🙏
Great stuff JP! Love that basic riff on the kazoo - great place to start.
Always gotta love a Kazoo 👍🏻
@@JohnPaulMusicUK indeed! Bonus ISIHAC points if you can marry the gentle rasp of the kazoo with the tuneful lilt of the swanee whistle.
Hahaha. Is that a challenge?!
I don’t own a Swanee whistle.
Maybe I should.
Great Demo. You have some great ideas for configuration. Do you know if this can also be done on the 505 Mk 2 Looper?
Absolutely you can. 👍🏻

This would give me the same functionality of the 600, but with the added buttons on the 505.

Great stuff man. I’ll be sure to check out your tech tutorials and online sessions page. Cheers

How do you set your vocal mic so it doesn't pick up and loop everything else that's coming through the PA?
