- What better way to experience Filipino food, than to order what the locals order? We also let the locals decide where we go eat! We figured this could be a win win, regarding we don't order after a family of 15 people...

JP & Julia: *puts Asado Sauce on rice*
Concerned Filipino: um... that's for the steamed pork buns (siopao).
@@Capellx it doesn't. i kinda like to try it myself tbh.
True true true,.
Ay, mali!
@@Capellx it wont, its just that it has to be placed right so they could enjoy more :D
HAHAHAHAH
Ayyyeee JP & Julia Fam we've got a bunch more Filipino videos coming here!!!
CAN'T WAIT TO SHOW!!!!
do the "letting restaurant employees decide what we eat"
Try Goldilocks i recommend kare-kare
Let’s do a Nepal video😬
ME SO EXCITED HIHI 💕💕💕💕😍
Try letchon in cebu 😍
Wow! BonChon looked super yummy! And then ChowKing looked super yummy! And then Mang Inasal also looked super yummy! The results are in, ya'll, we need Filipino fast food restaurants in the US!
Bonchon & chowking are already in the US, especially CA
Yeah we have a BonChon in Texas lol
what you guys need is a Mang Inasal....... prolly the best one here in PH....
The menu in the Philippines is so much better than what we have here in the States. Went to Bon Chon in Vegas and was disappointed in what they had. Plus, it costs twice as much here than in the Philippines. Also Chow King's pancit here is basically just noodles. The menu is half of what it is in the Philippines.
Yes u need 😁 filipino food is so yummy. *Pilipino* *vlogger* here.
Fun fact: Mang Inasal was made by collage students, at first it was a school project but then the a lot of costumers assumed to like there food so they added more food on the menu and it turned into a huge business!
Big Bertha isnt mang inasal owned by jollibee?
- JG - nope
- JG - I think Jollibee Corporation bought Mang Inasal, Jollibee now owns it but Mang Inasal started on its own.
This video shows just how lovely Filipino people are! Such kind welcoming people.
Hey thanks for giving derek some credits cause he started all this i think your the only person i watched that gave him credit so thanks for that, im a fan of him and you guys too (and im also from the Philippines)
That's exactly what I was thinking, they are so nice for giving him credit.
No it wasnt derek that started it. I forgot the name of the small youtuber but she did it 8 mos ago
@@OreoWaffles I think it's Yammy she's the first person I know who did it first
3:34
Server: Mango Bingsu
JP: That's a *soup* ?
I'm sorry but I laughed too hard on that one
Ren 😂😂😂
And he's a korean. 😂
When they put asado sauce on the fried rice 😂😂😂
I was like: oh no No wait!! *facepalms while laughing *sa siopao Yan 😂!!*
Waaaa that's exactly what I am thinking rn HAHAHAHA
Oonga eh nashok ako
couldn't help but notice that Bon Chon has a priority lane for disabled customers, pregnant people and the elderly (notice the orange sign) I couldn't help but smile noticing something most people probably paid no attention too and I think more places should adopt a similar policy
Smh they ask Filipinos for a fast food place and nobody said Jollibee for breakfast or lunch 🤦
The first three options were American, Korean and Chinese cuisine 😂
enyacoladas Probably because they were not actual filipinos speaking tagalog if ot was tagalog the filipinos peobably would say jollibee BUT if you stay in the philippines for a week you dont want to get home or food sick by eating filipino food 24/7 so it is also a good idea that they ate American,Korean,Chinese, and etc food.
@@ReaganVFilms I was thinking that too. Like, what if the people suggested certain places cos they saw that they were foreigners. Also, they made a whole video on Jollibee so maybe they cut out times people suggested Jollibee? But who knows?
whats the big deal if no one said jollibee
@Ganda Gandara it's Chinese inspired
Fil-Chi cuisine
All the restaurants mentioned caters to Filipino taste.
As an American, find some good Sisig. It could really be a video all unto its own.
You should say it as, "sigsig". The way he said it. For foreigners there should be extra"g".
@@amristar736 wut
What’s sigsig
the best sisigs are actually the hardest to find because they could be cooked in small, "sole proprietor" restaurant like in where I live!
My most favorite sisig is a cheap 45 peso one a stall used to sell in my university canteen. They eventually moved out of the university and opened elsewhere, idk where. It was a sad day for everyone when we found out. There used to be a loooooooooooooooooog line all the time because it was so cheap and so tasty. The servings were kinda small but that's fine. You could get 2 boxes for only 90 pesos which is like less than $2! There's also an amazing sisig place a ride away from my place. Always packed. The sisig servings ranges from 50 pesos to 110 pesos. I once bought the 110 and ordered 3 cups of rice and a bottle of mountain dew. Ate like a king and only paid 150 pesos which is about $3.
Krispy Kreme is cool and all, but J.Co OMG, every drink comes with a complimentary donut. Their Alcapone is so good, their selection of donuts are amazing! Theres so much good food in the Philippines! Ugh good thing I’m going back home next year! 🤞🏽
*Julia:* Will you go to the gym with me later?
*JP:* Yeah. Is that another restaurant?
😂😂🤣🤣
I think you should try Manam, real authentic filipino food. Or spiral buffet.
You guys legit asked those girls where you can get breakfast "FASTFOOD BREAKFAST" and then you see a breakfast menu for TGIF etc. and wonder why they recommended Krispy Kreme, when there was that. TGIF is made to order and they probably thought you were in a hurry.
Plus common perception of us Filipinos when it comes to foreigner is that Doughnuts are usually the go to for breakfast. Just saying.
Same that lady was kinda fail 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ i would have said pancake house. Ewan ko dun, kairita.
Filipino Superfan here! You guys are my favorite youtubers! Keepsafe guys! Godbless! ❤❤❤
What to eat in:
1.) Krispy Kreme - Original Glazed Donuts with Freshly Brewed Iced Coffee.
2.) Bon Chon - Honey Garlic / Soy Chicken, Kfries, Fish and Chips, Beef Stew and Bingsu.
3.) Chow King - fish sweet and sour lauriat or fried chicken, Lomi, Siopao and Milky white halo halo.
4.) Mang Inasal - PM 1.5 Spicy Paa with unli rice or Fiesta Set meal and Halo Halo.
Kindly try my recommendations.
😋😋😋😋
Also try other fastfood chains in Metro Manila like Number 1, Greenwhich, Sisig Hooray, Jco and Karate Kid.
PM 2 ALLL THE WAAY
Tawang tawa ako sa sauce ng siopao nilagay sa kanin hahahaha luv u both!!!!
Omooo 😍 found your second channel 😁 feel so lucky to be the cashier on duty at bonchon that morning though, you guys are so kind 😁🥰
Foreigners can conveniently choose what food they want went they are here in the philippines, because the unknown local food for them is written in english in the menu, so they can easily know what it is and what they want.
OMG SKSKSK YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO PUT THE ASADO SAUCE ON THE STEAMED BUN (Siopao) but I can't blame you for tbe mistake 😂 (6:02)
Jollibee! 😍 Order chiken, spaghetti, palabok and halo-halo.
JP & Julia I love your foodventures, I have a menu recommendation for you. You guys should try this:
•Sinigang na Baboy/Hipon (pork/shrimp sour soup)
•Sisig
•Tinola sa Buko (coconut chicken you can cook that one)
•Isaw
•Adobo
•Pork binagoongan
•Everlasting (it is a food)
•lechon
•lechong paksiw
•kalamay & Biko
•Suman & kutsinta
•palitaw
•mochi
Omg that girl that met you!
The chances of a foreign youtuber you love watching going to your own country and randomly meeting them outside xD
Try Zarks please! And try the Tombstone challenge!
MANG INASAL IS THE BEST BECAUSE OF THE UNLIMITED RICE AND VERY YUMMY HALO-HALO😁😁😁
Can I just hang out with you guys and come eat with you? I love your videos. I watch by myself and smile and laugh. So thank you for that! ❤
You should go try sinigang and adobo! Those are really famous dishes in the Philippines (I think).
some restaurants have sinigang like Max's!
Very inspiring. Wonderful yet delicious concept video. Awesome job.
Actually guys the asado sauce is for the bun hihi btw love you guys, from phillippines😊
Oh my good I knew it!!! You're the one I saw at Market Market BGC last time!! I knew it!! I just wasted my chance to meet you both 😭 I hope you enjoyed staying in the philippines love you both!
Finally someone who gave Derek some credit for starting this
You guys have 1 great way to spend your relationship goals ( I'm only here for the food . . . . . there goes my diet)
You guys should go to the Spiral Buffet at the Sofitel hotel or to Vikings Buffet at the Mall of Asia
Umalis na nga ang mga iyon.
Lol, where did u had chapche before? At a Korean camp! 😂😄😆
2 videos in one day?
Now that's service!
All of your videos makes me hungry. I love your videos and the both of you. Never a dull moment on your videos. :) If I meet you in person, I might also be starstrucked hahaha and even forgot your names and just jump up and down and claiming im your fan hahahahaha.
OH NOOOO YOU FORGOT TO PUT THE YELLOW OIL IN THE RICE THAT'S THE BEST THING EVERRRR (MANG INASAL)
Gotta appreciate sticking to the challenge, but the way to enjoy local food is to go to local eateries, not fancy fast food restaurants. I like u guys. 😄😄😄
Please try Max Restaurant or Manam restaurant or Gerrys Grill..authentic Filipino dishes..thank you😊
hahaha it's kinda cute that you put the asado sauce on your rice.. that sauce is for pork steam buns hahah
Ay, mali!
I just tried Krispy Cream dounuts fresh for the first time and they were SOOO GOOD
Hey guys. not sure if you know now how to mix condiments. If there is calamansi, chilis, and soy sauce, you cut the chilis into bits then add the soy sauce then squeeze in the calamansi 😊. Just dip your chicken, pork or any protein in it. Goes best with any grilled food.
them: *puts asado sauce on rice*
me: 👁👄👁 t-the siopao [steamed bun]
Before you leave the Philippines - don't forget the Sofitel's Spiral buffet. The best buffet in the world even in Asia. Other fast food restaurants you have to try - Tropical Hut (Burgers), Aristocrat (BBQ Chicken & rice combo), Shakey's (chicken , pizza and potato wedges), Tokyo Tokyo (filipino-japanese fast food chain), Ferino's Bibingka - Bibingka Especial (Steamed rice cakes with salted egg and shredded cheese on top. Also topped with butter), Greenwich Pizza. Cabalen is one of the Philippine's best Kampangpangan restaurant - awesome Filipino food. There's a lot of restaurants in the Philippines.
Jp the way you said sisig is so wrong 😂🤣😂🤣
That's how them aliens say it. With extra "g".
Two videos at same time ❤ this is love
Why'd you uploaded 2 videos at the same time :(( are y'all still in ph, bc don't have school today
They were already gone
Putanginang grammar yan
Mali grammar. Dapat pag "did" gamit mo iyong verb na kasunod present tense.
Lol typical pinoy grammar nazi. 🤷♀️
Nathaniel's is a good place to eat if you're looking to taste Filipino food. Someone mentioned Manam as well. You have to try the breakfast meals (Tapsilog and what not) too. Don't forget to eat fresh seafood at Dampa market. Oh, and the night food markets! There are a lot of decent places to eat around Metro Manila. But you need to go outside the city to taste authentic Filipino cuisine.
(Next time you come back maybe you can visit Iloilo City, Bacolod City, Cebu City, etc. They have amazing local cuisine as well.)
You have to go to Spiral buffet. One of the best in the world.
One of your better videos, I actually like this video & your street food one. This was really fun
JP: excuse me is there a “FAST FOOD” breakfast place?
Stranger: Krispy Kreme
JP: Look at all of these breakfast food and she chose Krispy Kreme
Ikr😂
7:48 lovin the Filipino joy when they see JP and Julia , or maybe its videobombing our fav youtube channel :) lots of wonderful foods in pinas . although i know ur mainly food vloggers, the night life is fun in Philippines too. Or if you love shopping you can go visit MOA (mall of asia)
Fun Fact: Mang Inasal and Chowking are owned by Jollibee.....
I love your Philippines food tour! Wonderful! Stay safe and God bless you both. ♥️
Grab actually owns Uber in the Philippines ( if im not mistaken)
You mean uber owns grab?
@@V0Y463R nope here grab owns uber
@@V0Y463R nope, in South East Asia (i believe) GrabCorp owns Uber
Omg you guys are here!!! Im a fan from philippines! Hope you guys are having fun and enjoying the food that we love as well ❤️ there's a lot of food that you must try here in the philippines and i recommend that you must try "palabok" that's really really good im sure you'll gonna love it 💕 love you guys and i hope you enjoy your stay here in the philippines! Love you guys! More power! 💕

The asado sauce is for the soipo/steam dumpling
Click bait! I wanted to see that purple bun! 🤣
I laughed when they put the asado sauce to the rice instead on the hot bun/siopao. Well you can do that as well but its really for the siopao
Will you be able to make the Biggest HALO-HALO? HMMMMM

Thanks for showing Philippines in your videos. You're making me hungry! I just subscribed! 💖
happy to watch you both while eating in all fastfood chain ..thanks to visiting philippines..
OMG I’m so jealous of your trip to the Philippines!! Food is so underrated right!???? I need to go for some “Research”
For eating mang inasala do this next time add calamansi in that little plate and at soy saouce(toyo) and add the yellow sauce on your rice and mix and enjoy and dont forget to dip your chicken to the calamansi and soy sauce sipping sauce and for some spicyness ad the chili pepper or buy the 1.5 that is already spicy dont forget unli rice
5:24 julia said "this is some kind of fun" of course it is coz it is chowfan😂
Waaahhh i wish i could have seen you both 😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍
I used to work in BGC and that place feels really fancy. Like not even one single street vendor. Cheapest food option is the convenience store, fast foos or the cafeteria at the office. I had to bring my own food everyday to save money. Plus little to no transportation in BGC. Either you take the BGC bus that follows a specific route and stops, taxi or habal-habal (not so safe). Grab and Uber wasn't that known back then. One time I had to leave work early since I work at night that is midnight to me. Sadly, no bus at midnight so I had to walk from my office to Ayala MRT.
Try Jolibee, Nathaniels Bario Fiesta or Cabalen 😍😍😍
When I clicked I tought it was on the healty junk food channel until she said it was not 😂
Thanks For Eating Our Filipino Dishes, We Appreciate It! Subway Sandwiches Are Yummy Too
JP: is this the asado sauce *puts in chowfan*
me: ThAtS for the pork bun
I'm Like That
You should do the challenge were the person in front of you chooses what you eat then you make a bigger version of it .☺
This was a awesome idea for this TH-cam vlog channel video these TH-cam video was so fun to see what kind of food they have in the Philippines
Is that it ? Bench ? Hahahaha ! You'll be eating apparel there for lunch ! Hahahahaha !
hope you guys try authentic filipino foods like (sisig, crispy pata, pares, lechon, and nilagang baka etc..) And also try spiral buffet in sofitel and Dampa in pasay)
Ahhhhhh I love your videos! 💕
You guys are so fun to watch hahah😂 new subscriber!
I’m surprised yous haven’t tried jollibee yet. If yous loved maccas from your other channel, then you’ll also love jollibee.
Ha that asado sauce is for the bun lol.
“Would you go to the gym with me later?”
“Yah is that like another restaurant?”
😆😆😆
I’m your new subscriber and i’m starting to like you guys.. hope you had fun here in the Philippines
I'm happy that you liked our food in the Philippines 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
it all looks yum!!! have fun!!! be safe! love you both!
You should try foods that are not sold in the fast food restaurants, some street foods are far better and cheaper. You guys should try it.
Love you both. So inspiring you came here just to taste our food .hope to see you soon in manila
The Asado sauce is actually for the steamend bun, but it's okay if you put it on rice, although I never tried it before Hahaha😂.
❤❤❤
Julia: Will you go with me to a gym later?
JP: Yeah. Is that another restaurant?
😅😅
I highly, HIGHLY RECOMMEND you eat at MANAM. They have branches in Greenhills, Alabang, Megamall, and Rockwell Power Plant Mall. Try their Sisig, water melon sinigang, beef tadyang, bulalo kansi....etc.
Try Aristocrat's BBQ chicken with atchara and rice combo, halo halo. Greenwich Hawaiian pizza. Tropical Hut's Burger. I am glad you tried Chowking and Mang Inasal.
Try the zarks jawbreaker or apocalypse burger challenge. It's free if you can finish it within a certain amount of time.
