I was gonna say, I was raised Catholic and I’m a Muslim revert now. One of the jokes about Catholic schools growing up was that about 20% of the kids in class are actually Jewish and they’ll be doing chabad after schools. Catholic universities are even more diverse, especially in America where Catholics are a minority, so the Catholic colleges have loads of non-Catholics. The high schools are usually majority Catholic, but it’s definitely not unheard of to have non-Catholic students, especially on the east coast where there’s a significant Jewish population, so more conservative Jewish people like that Catholic schools separate the genders usually. (There are some co-ed Catholic schools but they’re less common). Ironically, I was raised Catholic and I *didn’t* go to Catholic school because it was too expensive for my parents when I was younger. But we had CCD, which was a free catechism class offered at the church after school, and we did that for years.

hey guys this is maira from the video! hopefully this comment doesn't get buried. for the fasting exemption question i asked zaina, i wanted to clarify that she did mention menstruation. it was the first one she mentioned actually; she said one of the exemptions was "what we as women get monthly that you (I) are aware of" not outwardly period/menstruation but the reference was obvious + i chalked it up to modesty. not sure why jubilee edited that critical portion out (truthfully the whole editing is questionable for this vid). if i'm asking that question you can trust i was looking out for the same answers as the rest of you lol. hope you guys liked the video nonetheless!
Aryanna well for one my friends can't get over how quiet i look in this video when i was talking just as much as amr LMAO i'm very outgoing so it's weird to see so many of my parts cut out. i think also there were some very touching and profoundly bittersweet moments that would resonate with the "Muslim experience" for the audience, and it is really unfortunate that these parts were edited out. plus we look sort of hostile to each other in this video but genuinely this cast has nothing but love for each other and we still meet up even now lol. the power of editing, it can tell a whole different story.

But we had CCD, which was a free catechism class offered at the church after school, and we did that for years.
im a muslim who goes to a catholic school too lol

LMFAO I WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT THIS HAHAHA
Yeah she was wrong too. Sour patch kids are vegan
I felt kinda bad for Umari too, I thought he was the mole at first for saying "converted to Muslim" hah. But it sucks when you have to prove how religious you are to other muslims, I always feel bad when people question my faith because i'm not the strictest or most knowledgeable.
To all Muslims reading I hope you have a blessed Ramadan this year!!
You are so great thank u :-) :-) :-)

I just had a similar experience of disclusion not so long ago. We were all talking in class about food and stuff and I said I can’t eat pork and the “class clown” kept saying I was missing out. I found that rude and whatever and looked to my friend “atheist” and she agreed with him. I have never felt so alone.
That wasn't your friend then, but it's little to do with religion. People can be nasty to anyone, even family members act hateful towards each other.
Don't worry, pork is unhealthy anyway and is linked to obesity. They are the ones missing out
If that’s your experience of ‘discrimination’ then you’re lucky lol
@@adamnb.3082 ya I feel so bad for all of the muslims and people who have experienced much more horrible things, it’s so sad and just disgusting
I’m studying gastronomy and I reverted to Islam 2 weeks ago xd My major includes tasting lots of food and drinks, alcoholic beverages (and knowing how to prepare them) and when I mentioned to my friend I was worried about that she kind of dismissed it, like it didn’t really mattered since “I had no choice because it’s part of my studies” I understand, since religion where I live isn’t a big thing (and it’s not an Islamic country) however, I did feel kind of bad- sometimes things like that does make me feel lonely, or excluded in a way. But I know it will get better in the future. I’m happy with my decision anyways. We’re not aloneeee ☺️
If they actually listened to each other, and didn't just base their vote off of race, and who's asking more questions, this would be way better.
Says more about the contestants, than the show.

Fadhil, that’s not Dajaal bro. It is something that many Muslims have in their houses to protect themselves from the evil eye. 🧿
@@MSH786 this is not a muslim thing but an arabian culture thing that does NOT fit islam at all it is haram it comes from turky as they believe it protect you from jealousy of the other and bad evenements and as muslim we do not do that it's very bad cause we believe only allah can protect us and not an object made by a human

The easiest way to determine a muslim.. ask him or her to read a surah

I guess they’re all unpractical muslim aka liberal.
Mehak Khan I know. And that is how liberalism works. They all claim that being a good human is enough under a certain religion. They don’t have to follow the rules of their religion bcoz to them that make no sense. I really hate to say this but this is the case of many muslim celebrities out there.
Mehak Khan
“Good humans” what does that mean and how do you think they are good. People can do good actions but not be good people. If they abiding by Allah guidance, are they good people

We are not jews.
There is no reformed, conservative, etc.

"my mom told me you're not supposed to wear evil eye in islam", but voted someone else 🤦

@@amandaa7708 this whole thing dont make sense. at the last round, 2 people voted for i think his name was AMR, then 4 remain, they were asked if they were certain if the mole was out, 3 didnt put their hand up, when only 2 voted for him.
why not vote for someone and then instantly think the mole is someone else? it doesnt make sense to me
May I ask why? I always see people wearing them
Laura tbh idek I’m Muslim and I wear it it’s too keep people away from jinxing you
Laura if you mean why wearing the evil eye isnt a good thing to do, its because you think that its the one that protects you with or instead of Allah, and thinking that is a kind of “Shirk” which means thinking there is another god with Allah. (there are kinds of shirk so this is one of them) and if its this kind of Shirk it means you arent muslim anymore. please someone correct me if i said something wrong

@@nehal8886 nope
To be a Muslim, one must believe that Allah is the one and only God and the prophet Mohammed was the final messenger. That is what makes a Muslim. Everything else is worked on. The 5 prayers are a must even though many don't do it. When it comes to combining prayers, it is mainly for travelling long distances or if you are going somewhere for a short period of time. Keep in mind that if they commit a sin or anything that doesn't make them non-muslims
