@iron threads3 Lol I live in Saudi Arabia and these days almost upto half of the women, especially near the richer areas and restaurants don't wear the hijab at all. It's not enforced. Keep coping.

I don't mean to be disrespectful here but to be honest, They all look the same once the hijab is on. Very similar to a christian nun's headwear, they all look alike as well. It is great that people can choose to wear them if they want to do so for religious reasons. It's just that if countries or cultures FORCE it, that is just barbaric.

I'm not a muslim but lately I've been so interested in learning a lot about muslim religion, that I put on a hijab a month ago when I wanted to experience was a mosque was like, but since then I've been wanting to go to the mosque every week on Fridays to hear there talk and learn more, so I've been wearing the hijab every Friday I go there and after the mosque would go to shops and buy lunch in the hijab to and I feel very comfortable in the hijab.
I wrote this before I converted, I think it was a couple of weeks after writing this I converted to Islam, I fell in love with what I was learning.

Modesty is in the eye of the beholder... The Tailban think it immodest to show the face.. In the West one hundred years ago, bikinis would be thought obscene.. The Victorian English covered up the genitals of Ancient statues with fog leaves.. Clearly the Ancients didn't have the same problem.. Nudist camps in the West function perfectly well (without becoming orgies or whatever).. It's all in the mind and I think the nudists have it right.. If we all went nude, it would soon be no big deal. Absolutely nothing.. Our bodies are nothing to be ashamed off..

Awww I'm sikh and it makes me remember when in an event we tied turban to non-sikh men and women. It was so nice and people was so open minded. As a sikh, I wear dastar (turban) and chunni (large scarf) on top of it. Modesty is more then clothing, is the way to be humble in front of God. Modesty is a way of living that men and women should follow. Good video :)

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
"'Umar came to the Messenger of Allah and said: 'O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined!'
He said: 'Why are you ruined?'
He said: 'I turned my mount during the night (meaning that he went into his wife from behind).'"
He said: "So the Messenger of Allah did not say anything in reply to him.
Then Allah revealed this Ayah to the Messenger of Allah :
"Your wives are a tilth for you, so go to your tilth when or how you will (2:223).'

'O Prophet!˺ Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and guard their chastity. That is purer for them. Surely Allah is All-Aware of what they do.
Narrated `Aisha:
Umar bin Al-Khattab used to say to Allah's Messenger "Let your wives be veiled" But he did not do so. The wives of the Prophet used to go out to answer the call of nature at night only at Al-Manasi.' Once Sauda, the daughter of Zam`a went out and she was a tall woman. Umar bin Al-Khattab saw her while he was in a gathering, and said, "I have recognized you, O Sauda!" He (`Umar) said so as he was anxious for some Divine orders regarding the veil (the veiling of women.) So Allah revealed the Verse of veiling. (Al-Hijab; a complete body cover excluding the eyes). (See Hadith No. 148, Vol. 1)
Narrated `Umar:
I said, "O Allah's Messenger! Good and bad persons enter upon you, so I suggest that you order the mothers of the Believers (i.e. your wives) to observe veils." Then Allah revealed the Verses of Al- Hijab.

Living in France 🇫🇷, I am in love with the open-mindedness of Americans or Canadians who advocate living together. It hurts my heart that we can't move forward on this issue in France.
Sadly, it often depends on where you are in the US. This is a beautiful reminder of who we can be together.
Hijab is sourced from an ancient middle east culture where it was believed that only if one hair will be seen to the others in your daily life, you will burn in the fire 77 years where you certainly will go to hell after your death. Such fears should not be found in the culture of today's self-confident women who have achieved their independence after long struggles. It's got nothing to do with a respect to culture. It's a matter of whether you will let yourself be filled with only fear and insecurity for the rest of your life. Lazy women, who act only with their emotions, not their minds, may choose this way, but they should never forget the possibility that one day the human respect that they have gained many centuries of struggling as women will be completely and infinitely lost! This is a way of " No Return ! ".

I don't understand this. If you have to convert to Islam it is acceptable and called tolerance. Yet if your own Children fall in love with a non-Muslim or convert away from Islam, then you both would not be okay with this. This is a hypocrisy and double standards, and you know it.

I once sat in a doctor's waiting room sick af. I had wrapped every scarf I owned at the time around my head to protect me from the cold. A Muslima sitting next to me couldn't take it and asked if she could wrap me up in a "nice way". I've let her do her thing and boy did she swaddle me nice, I felt so warm and cozy.
I still sometimes wear a headscarf, it just feels nice.

I love this video. I’m not Muslim and after being surrounded by Muslim women and being inspired by their “sisterhood-ship” I was inspired to try. And oh my goodness! I love how I feel! I feel beautiful and majestic. I just love how I feel in a hijab. I dress more modestly now and I look so so so so good still. Being dressed up in hijab also has had an influence not onl now I feel but on how I carry myself in terms of my behavior, how I talk to others, how I speak and I just love love love this version of the woman I am. I’ve wanted so much to be this version of me, more classy and sophisticated and I didn’t know that all it took was trying on modesty.

I actually cried as a hijabi I really feel so happy and I genuinely appreciate people who are non-hijabi respect us by wearing a hijab and the way they felt comfortable made me confident and the way I reacted to it was VERY emotional I’m just super happy to see that and I just can’t express more but those people who respect other cultures just deserve the world.
I am not Muslim. My 6 year old daughter loves hijabis and hijabs. Sana Saleh from Saleh Family shared in a video that it isn't cultural appropriation to wear a hijab if we aren't Muslim. So I ordered a few matching hijabs for me and my daughter.
I also play Minecraft. One of my Minecraft friends is a hijabi from the other side of the world. I sent her a photo of the first time we wore our hijabs and she cries. She said it made her whole day just to see support.

I think it's such a great idea to introduce people to other cultures in relaxed and fun ways because that's the best way to really break prejudice. I remember a few years back when a friend of mine had me try on a hijab and it was fun and playful and having people try stuff for themselves really makes them realize that you're still you, no matter how you are dressed, what you believe in, what you eat or how you live your life because in the end, we're all just humans and we're all the same, and we can all get along!
It's all shits and giggles until someone demands it from you. Whether it's your husband (or soon to be), your family, your religion or your government. Wear what you want but as soon as something becomes mandatory something is off.
People will get along as soon as people stop trying to pressure their own rules and beliefs onto others. Which sadly isn't the case for the majority of religions.
Even I dont have a girl friend, but please avoid of Islam . This religion is worse than other religion. Most of radical Muslims are boring , sick and cruel ...The life in Germany made me change and I realized that how the modern countries are in right way .
