      While the game do lack a bit of physionomy diversity, (especially females) I don't think "fat" people would end up survivors in a universe that consists of sprinting and hopping your way out of three ferals charging at you at the pace of a small bike.
      Even highly muscular large people tend to have a severe decrease in cardio due to the massive amount of energy they spend with every movement.
      The fit, tight, joggers-type bodies of most protagonists actually seemed pretty appropriate in Sod, and never made me think that they represented something either irrealustic or too idealistic.

    Sorry for the loss of a friend I lost my dad around may last year. Only real friend I had that I could confide in. Your game helped me get through some of the grief by taking my mind off of it and alot of the anger and rage I had inside being able to take it out on zombies. So thank you for making a game that I've always wanted.

      I have his character in game. They named her Peddler. I had the honour of gaming some SOD2 games with Peds. I will miss that unmistakable voice. If he was my neigbour, I'd have cooked for him. RIP big guy😢

      Maybe as a sort of balance, if survivors become disgruntled enough then those posted at outpost sort of "declare independence" from the main community. This could then result in a quest where you deal with it as you see fit.

      Peddler's BBQ on Drunker Country, The one in the middle of the map has a crashed car on the roof with a skeleton in the drivers seat with the beat seat full of broken clocks.

    You guys should add armor to sod3, the heavier you wear the slower you move but the more punishment you can take, also a newer inventory system with a lot of slots but weapons take up many slots, and screws etc take up single slots and stack

      Honestly having more stuff to find and loot would create some much needed diversity to the loot pool.

      @Marshall you're right but there's zero reason not to have more items to scav for. It wouldn't be a complete mix match of interchangeable plate carriers and stuff just different armor sets and helmets like the outfitter we already have in the game.

      @Marshall i've played the first two games A LOT, I just want it to mix it all up, kind of be like the walking dead, I just absolutely hate how a 50 bmg takes up the same space in my back pack as a single screw, I just want them to expand upon what they have, cause right now its pretty simple, upgradable towers and walls would be amazing, something where you could spend time and resources to uprgrade your base to something you created, and not just how you fill up your slots

    Love the lil' tweaks and upgrades. Shows dedication, perseverance, and a standard to what game developers should be. As a day 1 gamer that still plays frequently. Definitely appreciate the hard work, and the outlook on what this game can become. But, can we please get a new map, and story mode. A story mode with all the upgrades an implementations and this could be one of the best survival games ever. At least in my opinion. Otherwise, way to go UNDEAD!!!!!

    Sweet!!! This is exactly what I suggested in your State of Decay 3 reveal video! I went into a bit more in depth with outposts, but I was not expecting this in State of Decay 2. Awesome job, Undead Labs keeps proving why they’re a quality developer!!!

    a visual upgrade for outpost wouldn't be bad, for example if you claim an outpost -the visual change could be RESTORING it-the inside - tidy up, like REPAIRING in the base for a BROKEN FACILITY. Then the upgrade to lvl 2 and lvl 3 could be some kind of FORTIFICATION around the outpost(better walls a watch tower - cleaning the surrounding area), - OUTPOST BASE POWER - LIGHTS IN OUTPOST, so that in the dark you would see your outpost xD maybe even MANNING THE OUTPOST-with maybe SURVIVORS that you COULDN'T recruit into your COMMUNITY (LIKE 5 SURVIVORS) or the possibility to HIRE ENCLAVES to man/guard your outpost for some king of currency - influence/prestige for just hiring them, but for longer time the cirrency would be food and ammo - but in exchange you won't be able to recruit/enlist them to follow you anymore..this when you would hire them...
    A TOPICS FOR THIS SYSTEM: this would kinda go in hand right now an
    AI ENCLAVE RAIDERS SYSTEM, for example when getting to a map or changing the map, the map would have for e.g. 10 hostile enclaves(the number of survivors e.g 10 in the enclave) already visible, which you could visit only once to haggle them for better relationship-if you get better with them(RELATION - FRIENDLY OR ALLIED) then you could visit them more times, even enlist them, but if you LEAVE THEM HOSTILE then only ONCE you were able to visit them, which would then trigger raiding attacks on your OUTPOSTS AND YOUR BASE from them, like you have right now the hord attacks...i meant 10 hostile enclaves + all the popping up enclaves(getting request calls)...this would bring a depth to the game...:D have a nice day.

    I like this update. It will help when people start whole new legacies and decide they don't want to carry on their super survivors. Like sometimes one doesn't want to bring in people who have a deep legacy. Also sometimes they don't want them to mysteriously die 😅. So its nice to have a way to train special skills with newer communities.

    I would love a "TWD Saviors" kind of mechanic, where you force communities to pay tribute or taxes for living in your territory.

      Agreed 100% have it to were you’ll get a call from another group asking if they can set up camp in your territory and a menu pops up we’re you can choose what you want and that group might agree or disagree with the trade.

    One of the things I've always wanted to be able to do in the State of Decay 2 is have a primary and secondary weapon like a rifle and a pistol available instead of having to equip different weapons when I run out of ammo

    The giant hat water tower in Drucker country should definitely be a landmark outpost.
    Also give the Forge a passive benefits. For me the Forge always loses out to the carshop because upgrading cars is like... WAAAAAY cooler and on top of that it has a passive benefit of reducing car fuel consumption.
    And is there a threat reduction outpost? It would make Lumdergaard mill in Providence Ridge more viable.

    I think it would be potentially highly valuable to have the fully upgraded outposts have a small guard post attached to it where a survivor from your community will stand and shoot from, this could save a lot of your survivors by giving you a bit of assistance with large hordes, but this upgrade requires an increase in resources so that the survivor standing guard has food and such.

    All I would like to see added to the game is bigger groups of survivors that you can Ally/Go to war with and certain parts of the map that you can control and set up camps were you can send survivors to hold on to that territory. Also some more content with the network and red talon.

      I personally had an underground parking garage in mind.
      But the problem with these underground structures is that they don't have an outdoors section for large and outdoors slots.

      Yeah the outdoor specific facilities would be an issue but they could offer an alternative like farms/gardens can only be outdoors but hydroponics could be put anywhere as long as it's a small slot

    I understand you (Developers) have limited resources. So that players do not get bored with time, you need to add a function (NPC attacks on the base) If the player has 6 people, then 6 attack. If the player wins, then they get their loot. If the player loses consciousness and all of his population, then he loses 30-60% of supplies (Depending on the difficulty of the game) And add a little destructibility by 10%
    What if we add NPC ranks? Green, blue, purple, and legendary. And more stats.

    A suggestion: Make a George. A Romero mod: Slow walking zombies (even when they attacks), and a black and white filter screen as option. Like emulating the original "Night of the Living Dead* movie.

    PS:I'm actually glad there's gonna be a way to get a certain skill from outposts, its so hard for me to get utilities, I normally try to get them in one of the 3 starting survivors along with medicine and sometimes cooking. Utilities for hydroponics, medicine for medical needs(blood plague, serious injuries, etc) and cooking to help increase moral with a kitchen(feasts).

    This is just something that would be really cool to see, I would really like there to be apocalyptic outfits, like a classic mad max outfit, with a leather jacket with one of the sleeves torn up, and a shoulder pad on one side, maybe tactical pants or something like that. I just thought that would be a cool outfit idea, keep up the great work!

    Has state of decay 2 folks been given a massive update. Haven’t played it in a while. So sorry for the loss of this gentleman who seems to have effected the team so much. My condolences to his wife, family and friends. Life is so damned cruel the good die young saying is so true people. Love and cherish those we love due to this pandemic. That is so touching a moment in naming the restaurant peddlers diner, is just a class touch guys!

    So I love the challenge that plauge territory offers, as well as the customizability of landmark outposts. The upgradable outposts however seem a bit OP and take away from the trading aspect of the game. I was never the biggest fan of resource outposts in the first place since it doesn't make sense how a looted building could keep providing resources, but it wasn't that big of a deal since they weren't enormous amounts. Now however you can feed an entire community until the end of time with two fully upgraded food outposts. There's no longer a reason to try and trade for food or build farms/gardens. Also the training takes away from trading/scavenging since you no longer have to look for the skill books. For standard modes I have no problem with this mechanic, but for those that like an immersive survival challenge on lethal, I feel that these upgraded outposts are a bit too immersion breaking.

    I always end up having nothing but resource outposts, just so I can get enough resources coming in to keep my community running. With the upgradable outposts, maybe I'll be able to get a few of the 'fun' outposts instead, like artillery support or the cell towers. I'm looking forward to it!

    I love the outpost upgrades! They were desperately needed.
    I think they’re awesome, but the wind farm in the valley is far too underpowered compared to the others, especially with amenities. At least that’s what I felt when I played.
    Also just a personal note...kinda hoped the big ole ten thousand gallon hat water tower thing would be the monument outpost for drucker since its so cool but... it’s fine...

    Id love for a kind of swarming mode where there can be mega hordes of normal (including plague) zombies (maybe 30 to 50 zombies) that would require soooo much fire power to kill off.
    Theyd chase you (by running) relentlessly and the only real way to get away without a clever or risky strategy is with a car. You could also use fire bombs to your advantage.
    This would also defo make trying to climb to higher grounds more intense and exciting
    Might only be available for series x and PC due to hardware needs implications but would be awesome

    Lucy I've been going hard in the paint on the new Beta. You did a great job with the outpost upgrades they balance out the plague territory feature very well. They essentially allow the player to run a more self sustaining base while they take their time destroying hearts in an area the player would prefer to move to. These changes are great.

    Something that would add a lot to the game would be having people actually stay at your outposts........maybe being able to station someone at different outposts or something.

    Look I just miss the ability to hide in the brush and setting mines around the outpost to deal with hordes. I used to use them to create a defensive line for my bases

    The Outposts upgrades with their different costs will let me change up my strategies on to play in SoD2 and how I can setup characters or pick other traits from the 3 starting characters in New communities.

      Press new community- skip tutorial- -fill out random survivors-then the 2 arrows in a circle 🔄 like that

      I understand the game mechanics and how the game itself operates. I have been playing it for two years off & on looking up tips or tricks by other people on TH-cam videos.
      I was just saying it helps you to diversify the 3 starting characters over the normal five character's people select and helps pick something new and able to get that fifth skill character of farming, medicine, recycling, fishing, mechanics later during your playthrough; instead of picking it from the start.

    guys you should fix a thing about guns, when you reload even with an empty magazine it load 30+1 so 31in the chamber, at least in the last sod if ypu had an empty weapon wasnt reloading 31 but only 30

    Personally I would prefer you guys add a sneak kill ability for jugz and bloater or even ferals. Shouldn’t players capable of doing something hard be rewarded with something fancy?

      @@TheFedeGamer99 no not a silent melee based weapon. Like the same knifing animation but instantly executed for an immersive drift. The same can be done for a feral. I get it if bloaters can’t have their necks slit, but come on.

    my beta build lethal community has 100 morale, artillery, an expresso outpost and 33 daily income the outposts upgrades are too
    maybe have:
    -1 mats upkeep lvl 2
    -1 mats upkeep and 1 labor cost lvl 3

    It would be cool if the new outposts would be like little bases with 1or2 building slots. So we could have bigger communities and we would have to send some members to an outpost to stay there and defend it, so it won't be taken over by hostile npc for example.

    State of decay is still one of my favorite games, and I love that they are still updating this game even today. I love waiting to see what they come up with and how they continue to change and improve the game.
    I look forward to 3 but honestly I'm still not bored with 2, heck I even play 1 once in a good while.
    Fun Fact: I have a community in the game that I have had ever since I first got the game, and I think it is funny that they have been through every update since then. Their world just keeps changing.
    Another Fun Fact:
    I've also written a whole plot for my people and went through a whole storyline in my head, it was fun.
    Basically it ended with all my legacys (or most of them) having found each other and formed a massive community and every once in awhile they send out a team of three to clear some plague hearts and help out nearby survivors while forming new communities. That's my explanation for replays, it's cool.
    Not even kidding, I often think that this game and Xcom 2 are my top 2 favorite games.

    I have the best idea for SOD3! What if you can UPGRADE your MELEE weapon and a normal weapon with the workshop! Like, a longer barrel on your AR orr a bigger magazine!
    And with the melee, maybe a bat you can make some sharp point on the bat or so.

    this kind of stuff 35:07 breakes the immersion , they should spawn outside the building or not spawn at all...also i havent played in a long time..dont remember if there are bows and arrows as weapons..u should add those...and big cities...and a solo experience no base..for the player(but u can have friendly bases adm by ai )

    My suggestion to doing this is make rucksack a little less common throughout the game to do a minor counter-balance to the amount of resources you can get. Yes it will make it more difficult but with the outposts being able to give you up to 3 of a resource it can counteract certain events like a horde at base with ammo. Like i said though this is my personal suggestion

    What I suggest is a button to swap fire guns because it’s very annoying to open your inventory in the middle of an attack to change your weapon ;-;

    Be nice if we could get more faces too. Sick of my settlements and enclaves being filled with Clones. New voices would be nice too but I understand that would be a little harder to get than faces.

    Can we have a way to take legacy vehicles to other maps? The limited time availablity special vehicles are really cool but if you start a new community/play through then you lose the chance to have them. I would love to be able to keep access to these special vehicles

    What would be awesome is a new map and storyline where you play as Lily the leader of the network and it's shows the growth of the network from day 1 or a separate storyline where Lilys group after state of decay 1 meet up with Alycia from lifeline

    I think more of the default clothes could be added to the closet. I think that would be an easy little update? It would add a small bit of freshness to the game.
    There's a lot of outfits that exist in the game that we can't find in the closet.

    All I want is the town with the carnival added back into trumbull bally and have that version of the map added to the core campaign. I don't even care if we don't have the camp grounds, I never went there in the first game anyways. But the fair grounds is where I normally would be. For the core map version you would obviously have to remove the plague walls but I would say replace those with more plague hearts in the center of town. Just something that will give us more of the orginal map will make me happy

    I've been playing since the first state of decay, and I've been a good fan play everything so far, I just wanted to know if there can be a realism mode maybe, like with no juggernauts, or bloaters, keep ferrals and screamers, but meelee kill animations are more kill and less hit, such as stabbing a zombie in the head from the front and not just the back.

    Feedback on the wind farm landmark outpost: compared to the others it is a little bit disappointing. Once you get Amenities Boon, will you ever use it again? In Meagher Valley, I think the old factory on the hill is a much more recognizable landmark location, and it has got more creative options for what benefits it would give you. Out of the top of my mind, you could make it give a +25% production yield for a choice of daily upkeep like the others (2 labour, 100 Influence or 50 Parts).
    Alternative or additional landmark sites on the other maps could be the train station in Providence Ridge (+25% influence gain?), the Cowboy Hat water tank in Drucker County (+25% search speed and greater minimap zombie detection range - even on Nightmare/Lethal?), and the solar farm barn in Cascade Hills (-25% food and gas consumption?).

    Just and idea for the houses instead of claiming for more beds for your community what if you make it so you have a choice between more beds or more Storage for your so you can have bigger stockpiles for food or something

    I really hope Staye Of Decay 3 has a more creative base building system, like with games such as "The Forest", "Project Zomboid", "Valheim", "7 Days To Die", etc...
    To me having such creative ways to make a base so unique and "yours" turn the game into something more than just another zombie game.

    I like that learn ability from the outposts.
    One thing I would like, but I feel it might be unbalanced is if we could learn a upgraded skill like from Red Talon.
    Ex.
    Let say you claim a Clinic, and upgrade them to level 3. If you have a Survivor maxed out in surgery (spec skill), you would be allow for X amount of Influence to learn Combat Medicine.
    Making 5th skill be able to rank to a pretty awesome skill.
    I don't like red talon guys, they always jerks. But having an average joe with some Red talon skill would be nice.
    Anyway that's my 2 cents

    I think rare mods for outposts could be hella awesome. Like, something to increase the safe area range, or increase the resources you get from said outpost, or maybe something that'll boost morale, or maybe decrease threat level etc, etc.
    But, man...beards.
