    hello, one small thing i don't agree with, never build carriers with them, for this cost you get 3 destroyers with 3 capacity, more range and fighting power. instead 1st round for 2 (+1 sarween) res. 1 destroyer+1 mech, so you can grab a 2 planet system 2 steps away with 1 destroyer.

      I agree. The destroyers having transport negate the carrier needs. Doubly so early game.

    I love the videos and faction guides you do, I've watch almost all of them! One thing I disagree with on this video is your discussion about their start. I think they have one of the best and most flexible starts in the game. They have 1 carrier, 2 destroyers, and 5 infantry. They are one of the only factions in the game that can take 3 infantry via carrier to a 3 planet tile next to home system, and move out to either 2 separate systems containing 1 planet each, or 1 system with 2 planets. Their destroyers start with 2 movement as well, so these can get to any planet in their slice. If you are going to produce early (instead of go for tech) then I would highly recommend building a few more destroyers and infantry. Its not impossible to unlock your commander round 1. I've also found that Self assembly machine is one of the best techs for them, since you are constantly producing. Super fun faction, one of my favorites. The only thing I don't like is their passive ability zeal, that definitely backfires more than it helps lol.

    Ideas for fighting the Argent: focus on ships with high attack, rather than swarm fleets. Stay on the offensive, and don't let them use hit-and-run tactics against you.

    Why would you not just use the Strike Wing Alpha destroyers to move out your extra starting infantry and worry about getting another carrier later on?

    I was also really supriced the first time some one played it, they are just so fun and strong aswell. The tech tree is very satisfying, with a Sarween/ Plasma start, i would go:
    AI Dev./ Self-Assembly Routines, Strike Wing Alpha II, Aerie Hololattice and PDS II. afterwards, if you chose AI Dev, Warsun could be awesome. But i think taking a red skip (or Magen Def Grid xD) to Assault Cannon would be great with the Strike Wing Alpha II's.
    To take Space Dock II you most really have a production problem, Aerie Hololattice tackles most of it.

    If you talk about cards could you maybe blend them in? I always need to google cards you mention because i have no clue about what you are talking about. For example when you talk about technologies :^)

    So two questions I have:
    1. As for the second carrier. Is it really needed that much in the first turns? After all your Strike Wing Alpha do have capacity.
    2. How does Plasma Scoring benefit the Strike Wing Alpha? After all it only has Anti Fighter Barrage and tech does not affect that ability?

      1. You really don’t need the second carrier. If you manage to get a trade good go for tech or make two more Strike Wings with a mech (with ST discount)
      2. It benefits you in regard of the tech prerequisites for Strike Wing Alpha II and is good later for PDSII

    hmmm... how can sol counter argent flight? The carriers are less useful due to their destroyers, pds arent super useful either. The only thing I can think is only picking fights you can win with greater numbers and enough fighters that the destroyers cant keep up...

    Love the content- been binging this week while I'm laid up. I would suggest something about the flight that I don't think you really don't highlighted as much as I would have expected; the combo of their mechs and Alpha Strikes' abilities. Synergizing these two abilities almost (AL-MOST) renders carries unnecessary- at least in the early to mid game. I wouldn't spend credits on carriers in the early game, but would lean into the alpha strike's capacity and mech's ability to travel with capacity crafts for free.

      That’s absolutely worth it, you’re right. If you could get it up and running, that would be great. The problem would come about with moving great distances. Something like Gravity Drive to move into position would still work better on a single carrier or your flagship. This kind of breaks down in the late game, like you said, but you could switch over to higher capacity single units if needed. Great points!

    Just like to mention i played a game where we midunderstood the raid formation stuff and ended up with 6x3 just hitting ships outright if there were no fighters, i nearly won that game ( by win i mean kill him i aint good enough to beat that man )

    I really like your videos, but please, minimize your gestures. Even when you are not in the picture, you use gestures. Your gestures will lose power and impact, if you use them the whole time and not just for important parts of your conversation. I really want to watch your videos, but it‘s really hard.
