It's true. I'm a woman and got 2 promotions to senior management from communicating with other senior managers. My salary tripled in 6 years. Approach them first, ask how they are and about their family. Congratulate them on an achievement. When you see them relaxing into the conversation then you can address the work topics. The CEO would walk over to me in a room full of people because I know he has 3 daughters who love horses and lived in the US. I'm an introvert but can become an extrovert when communicating at work. If you can make them laugh or even smile you're on the right track. Look them in the eyes. Don't hide behind other people or avoid conversations. Make a point of remembering their names and any personal information. People like to be addressed by their names. It makes them feel as though they matter and are being seen.
mfowethu is dropping gems right here and this is what I genuinely feel as well. Many of us are too in our heads in social settings, and I believe it could be for a variety of reasons. However, when you boil it down to the Crux of things, human beings are social beings… meant to interact and CONNECT with one another. Having the ability to converse is the ability to share ideas and perspectives, enjoying the view of the world in a different lens. That’s part of what life is in general as well. This doesn’t only have to apply to women. This can apply with everyone and everything in life. Dropping gems bafo. Siyabonga🙏🏾
My Nigga Preach 💣🗣...You know bro I am coming to a realization that there's no powerful man than the one whom understands his true potential and gives it everything they have to see it come to fruition, come rain or snow.... How you carry yourself will dramatically change and in turn people around you will see the change in you.
wow my brother🤣, so I'm like that with soccer... i can play soccer but i don't know whats happening in the soccer world. and when guys talk about diski most of the time I'm clueless🤣
Hey Penson! I wish we could have a real life conversation. I agree with some of the stuff you say, but I disagree on the nuances. I'm literally shooting in the dark here but if you have time, can we please talk I beg you, I feel like we could have a good conversation. "Shooting my shot", fingers crossed, I hope you reply. Dankie for the work you do!
Communication is everything, you can't have a good relationship with mediocre communication skills, you can't network effectively if you have mediocre communication skills and more
I consider myself good-looking, but I had poor social skills. Good looks may open doors you but you might not go that far without a crisp/good mouthpiece.
When you assume others are better than you, remind yourself that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Try to focus on your own qualities and accomplishments, Start with smaller social situations and work your way up to larger gatherings. The more you expose yourself to these settings, the more comfortable you'll become ..hope that helps

I hate watching your videos because they are harsh reminders of reality 😢
I have social anxiety more especially when I'm around people whom I assume are better than me 🤦♂️ what do you suggest I do about this
