Thanks for this Nish! I’m heading to Copenhagen, for the first time, in December. Quick question please…. I’m diabetic but will be treating myself to one Danish pastry whilst there. I love pistachio, cinnamon and raspberry….. with that in mind, which bakery/danish would you recommend if you had to choose one?
There used to be small local bakeries spread out all over Copenhagen and all other cities in Denmark. Today, bakery chains like Lagkagehuset have appeared all over the place. A lot of the small bakeries I remember from my childhood have closed down mostly because of economy. It is not an easy thing to run a bakery. The work times are odd to say the least and the work can be very hard so there are actually not that many bakeries around as there were 50 years ago.
Guys, my "Ultimate Guide to Danish Pastries" will be out shortly.... There were a lot more Pastries to try out than I initially thought 😄
Yum!!!
thanks for sharing the stories behind those bakeries ... nice vlog as always... 😊😊
Thanks @justcookwithsha! Appreciate the feedback. The selection of Bakeries here is incredible 😊
