Typical Altian accent, you never palyed as AAF or FIA, did you?
it's not the accent lol it's the way pretty much all of them were speaking. The guy in the briefing randomly pauses and then breaks back into works like he is holding his breath xD
Well if you mean the breaks, then yeah, that is weird. But the voice itself is pretty normal for AAF/FIA. Just og to arsenal and try different voices and you will see. It sounds retarded, sometimes I make fun of it with my friend but it's the way it is. But if you talk about the way they talk, then yes, you're right.
If you ever heard a greek speak broken english then the arma accents are rather mild. But the pacing and tone are rather fudged in this.

Actually, this is just 1 of the campaigns included in the "Tac-Ops" DLC, named "Beyond Hope". The other campaigns are: "Stepping Stone" (on the remade island of Malden, from Operation Flashpoint 1) and "Steel Pegasus".

Can anyone help me with the lore? Like is this before or after the east wind campaign? In the first episode they call the AAF 'rebels', which would make one think this is after the Nato victory, and that these are just stubborn soldiers resisting. But at the end of this episode it states that this conflict ended with the jerusalem ceasefire of 2030- meaning this is 5 years before the East wind, however at the first tac ops mission there already is a mention to a ceasefire which AAF broke first. im genuinely confused :/
Alright. So AAF forces are the local government forces of the Island of Altis and Stratis, the "Rebels" are the government forces that from my understanding have staged a military coup against the will of the greater population, so, the FIA citizen guerrillas are more than likely loyalists while that resist the military takeover of their former free republic. The conflict got so bad, (hence the references to genocide by the AAF) that NATO forces had to get involved in the civil war.
@@Octosnakes Basically you are right, but to be more exact, it is more complex. The AAF were lead by general Akhanteros, who did military coup in 2026 and he forbid any political partys on Altis and Stratis. That lead to peaceful protests, which were immidietly suppresed by Akhanteros by force. That's why there started a civil war as the Loayalist, who supported democratical govrnment, started to fight against Akhanteros. They were succesful at first, but after this campaign ends, they are loosing more and more battles even tho CTRG is covertly supporting them. In 2030 there is the Jerusalem ceasefire. That means that general Akhanteros is considered as the legitimate government. The Loayalist obviously don't like it and a lot of them are setting up a new organization - FIA. I maybe should say that the Loayalist didn't had support of local residence, but FIA is now supported by almost everyone on Altis. And that's why NATO was called there, to keep peace.

how did you swap rolesin the game?
I don't think people would try to throw a grenade into an upstairs window because you might miss and have the grenade fall back on you. They do that in the movies. If you use movies as your realism meter, then Arma 3 sucks because you have to reload. Your videos are great.

I'd love to give this one a try, but I'm absolutely not into gaming with mouse and keyboard...
Thanks for trying to convince me, but my problem is getting severe pain in my left hand, doing that WSAD-grip, so no chance from that perspective. I enjoy gaming on the sofa, on the big TV-screen. I am fine with that. Most of the games support controllers and in rare cases, I can use the mouse and keyboard for RTS games. But that constant WSAD-thing with Shift and Space in shooter games make my hand hurt badly. I'm all buttons since the age of 8. I am 36 now.
Hats off to people who can cope with standard PC peripherals.
Vanilla Bumblebee arma has partial controller support, I remember trying it once as I get pretty bad wrist pains and it worked pretty well. Its obviously not designed for controllers though so there's no aim snapping like in console fps games so shooting can be difficult
