of course. these derms make blanket statements for the people who happened to have allergies to dust mites on their skin. i don't listen to most of what they say.
I have been using the advanced snail 96 Mucin power essence for at least 3 years.. I'm on my 7th or 8th bottle of it and I do think there's a difference when using this and my hyaluronic acid it's not as tacky and I use both but when I put the snail mucin on after my hyaluronic acid my makeup goes on so much better smoother and I'm getting an extra dose of hydration that last all day and since I've been using it for at least 3 years I can say without a shadow of a doubt My fine lines and my pores look amazing! I wish I had a before and after photo I can post on here but I guess you can't post photos on the comments, but I'm not lying because I would never want anyone else to go out and buy a product that someone made false claims on I've done that and it's irritating... This is my truthful statements I will continue to keep using this product for as long as it's on the market, but in my opinion I do see a difference between the hyaluronic acid and the snail mucin, yes they both do great things but I don't think they do exactly the same thing but everyone's skin is different this is just my opinion it's a great product but there are alternatives so whatever works best for you... keep doing it you know your skin better than anyone else thank you for uploading all your amazing content, I'm sort of a silent watcher I rarely make any comments but since I use this product religiously I felt the need to chime in and sorry for the mini novel I just posted I text talk I don't have the patience to manually text in every letter so for those of you that took the time out to read this mini novel..lol. thank you so much.. Have a beautiful blessed day 🧡
I’m not giving up my snail mucin from COSRX! I’ve been using it for years, I actually like the consistency of it and my skin loves it. Just bought a new bottle so I have it ready for when the one I’m currently using runs out! 💕
I use serum and moisturizer. My skin looks and feels better than ever. My favorite “moisturizer” hands down! Absolutely LOVE the consistency and feel on my skin.
I started my Korean skincare journey with Cosrx Snail mucin. It’s been 3 years now, it was a holy grail for my skin, but the urge to try out other products the snail mucin got pushed to the back of the cupboard. But my skin has been playing up this past year with possible menopause acne. I have now gone back to my basics and restarted the Cosrx snail mucin and my skin has improved loads again. So I love this product. I tried the jumiso one but I didn’t feel like it did anything for me.
Never tried it as just the thought of millions of stressed out snails en masse grosses me out. I recently looked at the inci list for the Cosrx peptide serum, and was surprised to find out that "this product contains a fish derived ingredient" according to a response from Cosrx to a question regarding whether it's halal or vegan. No idea which ingredient that is. Then I discovered that many peptides in skincare products are from processing fish. I had no clue!
I love everything from the mucin Cosrx line. I've tried a few others and have enjoyed them as well. I stick with CosRx because they collect the mucin in a humane way.
That would explain my puffy red eyes in the morning. Definitely having a reaction like dust mites. Happy I saw your video. Now I will know not to use it!
I still like it. I find it soothing and hydrating. But I use micro current and every conducting gel I have tried irritates me. I am phasing the conducting gels out and replacing them with snail mucin which does not irritate my skin.
I like it a lot but am fully aware there's nothing in the way of actives in it, however, as I put on other serums with loads of actives,I think it makes a nice finisher before moisturiser and it's reasonably priced 🐌🐌🐌
Snail mucin hydrates my skin to the max accompanied by the G&G Power Peptides. The COSRX Snail Mucin will stay in my morning and evening routine. My 50 year old skin feels pampered and is looking its best also because of this 😊
I heard the opinion of one of our local dermatologist too and I agree a bit. But- I found a pure snail mucin gel from a pharmacy 125 g for 8€ and I love it! It cools my skin and hydrates it very well not more not less and this for an affordable prize!
I used cosrx snail mucin. It gave me more fungal acne, so, I shifted to Tiam essence, I prefer Tiam essence. I later purchased hado Labo ( yellow bottle) as substitute since Tiam is now scarce in Nigeria, I hope it works.
I have used the essence for over a year and then stopped because I found it wasn’t hydrating as well as it had been initially. Now, I’m 54 - so menopause…and have had some changes in my medications and both of these could be contributing factors in the efficacy of the mucin essence. Cheers!
Hi hun, thank you so much for sharing and I think this is such a good point and reminder that as our skin changes the products which may have once worked may no longer be as effective.. love x
Interesting! I have dust mite allergies, but no reaction to snail mucin. I don’t use it that often though. I like it, but I haven’t found a need for it in my skincare routine. That Jumiso serum sounds interesting, though! It’s 24% off on US Amazon right now. Not that I looked it up. Um…. I just heard about it. 😁❤️
I do like a snail mucin! Enjoying the K-Secret one, not sticky at all. When re-ordering some Jumiso sunscreen the Jumiso snail mucin + peptides slid into my cart….I don’t know how it happened…😂😂❤
I love my Snail Mucin Power Essence. I’m not sure how effective it is on its own, but I find it a perfect layer in my routine and it does make my skin feel soft and velvety. Particularly it is the perfect buffer under my retinol, which I can now use down my throat and décolletage.
I’m not a fan of snail mucin because of the feel of the substantie. But it really hydrates my skin a lot. I use it extra in the colder months after exfoliating. It works great for me and the price is reasonable.
Thank you so much hun.. no I dont wear anything other than a little concealer but thats not in many places.. I do use lighting though which I think helps lol xx
I often you the 96 snail mucin as a morning moisturizer. I have oily skin and have chronic hormonal acne and I love how fast my skin absorbs it so I don’t get oily like with most moisturizers and hydrating products. I am definitely more hydrated and bright when I use their moisturizer. And while I am very allergic to dust mites (too much in the air and I can feel like breathing is hard) but I have never had a problem with it.
the cosrx snail mucin made my pores so noticeable on my forehead, had to stop using it. i also really question how ethical the treatment of the snails can be at such low prices for these prodycts. yes, they say they don't stress the snails bc it would be bad for production, but i suspect they kill them cruelly later on. just a suspicion, based on prices. and yet, i'm still tempted by the jumiso peptide snail mucin products..
For some reason the Cosrx 96 Mucin Essence just breaks me out!! I have nomidea why, ive bought the K Secret Snail Cream, i havent used it yet, but im hoping it will be a "Holy grail" and not a "get the behind Satan!!" 😂
For me personally snail mucin essences does not work. And i realized that when i stop using it before my other serums. My peptide serum and vitamin C for sure work better without snail mucin. I think it blocks my other serums. I am super fine with just my Holika Holika toner or other toners. I am wondering generally if the "essence-step" in a skin-care routine is essential, or it has to do more with commercial benefits for the companies. I don't know...Filakia from Greece Rob!!
Chileans discovered snail mucin 🇨🇱 (My big fat Greek wedding reference here 🤓). Until today my mom rubs snails from the garden all over her face... she is in her 70s looking 50, I'm not joking... I prefer the ksecret version though 😂
As far as I can tell about the snails, it's at most a little uncomfortable; they secrete the slime in response to the irritation to cushion themselves, so the fact that they produce the slime is what keeps it from being harmful. YMMV on whether that's over the line for you or not, of course. Otherwise, I think you have to look at when snail mucin got big. Ten years ago, an ingredient being really hydrating was enough to wow people just by itself. People hearing about it for the first time now are gonna be having wilder expectations for mucin by itself. Plus, I think the 'ick' factor makes people kind of go 'wow, if people put this gross stuff on their face, it must have incredible results!'. But if you go into a snail-forward product with the expectation that it's going to hydrate your skin, I think you're in a good place. You're right that a lot of it is just expectations.
I like to divide skincare products into two subgroups nutrition for the skin and protection of the skin. This product is protective if hydration and trans dermal water loss is your primary motivation behind its use within your routine. I use it alongside COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence but I don't double up in the same session
Currently my fav product is green tea for anti-aging, might change in future when I find other better products. Currently I'm using 107 chaga green tea cleanser, Innisfree green tea serum, Benton Deep Green Tea Toner and loving them and what they do to my skin. Also other products I'm using are Numbuzin no.3 Toner, Cosrx Peptide Booster Serum, Pyunkang Yul Cleansing Foam. I have oily combination skin and these products control my oily skin and sebum very very well.
I am vegan and I have a major snail-phobia, so no matter what I’ve heard about how amazing it is, the answer from me is a resounding no 😅 my routine is based on antioxidants, peptides + retinal and exfoliating acids, that’s enough for me.
I tried a bottle of the cosrx snail mucin essence a couple years ago, and it didn't do anything for my skin. I thought it would hydrate my skin, but nothing 🤷🏾♀️. I just figured that it wasn't for me, and that's fine.
I use cosrx snail essence daily. I had problems with hylaronic acid causing dehydration but when I replaced it with snail slime my skin is plump and hydrated. Not going back!
I use this snail moisturizer, and I can not tell any difference in my skin. I purchased the Peptide Snail Mucin but have not tried it yet. I hope I will like it better.
Who is telling these lies😮? I love snail mucin and it makes my skin so soft and glowy. I'm even trying K secret seoul snail mucin. I will never get rid of my snail mucin😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hey hun, how are you? I think a lot of it comes down to how over hyped it became and how it found its way into everything.. I agree with you totally, if it works for you and you choose the right dedicated mucin serum or essence then it can be a great addition to the routine.. sending love xx
Bravo Rob, good video! I tried Cosrx in the past without significant results. Let's leave those poor little snails in peace 🐌Have a wonderful evening. Ciao! 😊
It is a nice addition but not a holy grail. I would rather use centella & have better results. My favorite though is the Medik8 peptide serum...that is a must!
I had my best skin condition while using cosrx snal mucin. I used this for my teenage kid and also worked for his acne in a short time. 1 week i see acne tamed down so now just waiting for hyperpigmentation to go.
Seriously! I like to watch your videos, but this one,and with this title! Snail mucin, like any other skincare ingredient, will work differently on different people. I have been using Cosrx snail mucin for 2 years now,and no, I do not expect it to be the one and only ingredient, that will solve all my skin issues. But I think it's a great addition to my skincare routine. And yes,I still use hyaluronic acid. I also have a nice Geek and Gorgeous peptide serum,so I don't have to change my Cosrx mucin for some other brand. Do I expect snail mucin to work as a retinoid will,no! Of course not. I just use a separate retinoid product. And yes, snail mucin can irritate some people's skin. But that applies to every other skincare ingredient. So,to summ it up,I don't think this generalization of is it the end of snail mucin is nessesary. Every single day we see people on you tube raving about some new " life changing " product. It is not going to be ok,if they talk about the same over and over again. For us, it is left to decide what is good for us and use it consistently in order to see results. Personally,I will keep using snail mucin as an addition to my skincare, because I love the way my skin looks after each use.
Kwas hialuronowy mnie zwyczajnie zawsze wysuszał, nawet kiedy używałam go stosując warstwową pielęgnację. Pozdrawiam ( piszę z tłumaczeniem google)
I haven't used it very long so I can't say "yay" or "nay"...yet. It IS hydrating for my skin but I need to give it more time to see if it has any other benefits...BTW: I hate snails/slugs as they eat my garden to the nubs!😁💕
I got given a bottle by my daughter and when I got over the gross factor, I used it and before reading up on benefits, felt it did soften skin quite nicely. However as time went by I found the benefits I first felt seemed to reduce over time. The bottle wasn’t old at all but maybe it loses efficacy. Anyway, I grossed out by it again so it has been turfed🐌
Haha I know what you mean about the feel.. not helped by the fact it feels slimy on application which reminds me of the snails lol.. Happy Wednesday hun and sending love x
I got on the bandwagon like everyone else and tried the CosRx Snail Mucin and my skin didn’t like it at all. It turned red and I never saw any improvement and ended up giving it to someone else.
Nope! Not for me! I can’t get rid of the image in my head of snails slithering across my face and it makes me gag! I’m happy for them to be in my garden but that’s where I want them thanks 😅
I’ve not used snail mucin, and won’t because of concerns I have about how the mucin is produced and how the snails are cared for. I’m not vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but if i wouldn’t rub a snail on my face, I won’t buy the product. Xxx
I tried a bottle of the ubiquitous CosRx Snail Mucin Essence and didn't see any benefits that it had over my other serums and moisturizers.I won't be purchasing again.
Just got 3 bottles in. Nobody should expect retinol like benefits from snail mucin thays crazy but I will say that it helps definitely assists me in working with tretonoin as its the last layer before I slug. It’s one of the reasons I can use my tret daily with 0 sensitivity or side hydration effects. We are more likely to develop a sensitivity to hyaluronic acid because of how many products it is in. The mucin is not.
I totally agree my motto is always use what works for you.. it is always interesting to see what others are saying and shifting trends and the reasons behind them.. love
I used to struggle with severe dry skin (think peeling off snake scales daily). Snail mucin and propolis were game changers for me. Not only does it help with hydration between daily applications, but I can miss days' worth of application. 🦋👩🦰
I don't care what dermatologists say, snail mucin and ceramides as ingredients have done wonders for my skin, simply irreplaceable in my routine
100% agree. Both so very well for my skin. ❤
of course. these derms make blanket statements for the people who happened to have allergies to dust mites on their skin. i don't listen to most of what they say.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
Me too! Never getting rid of my 🐌🐌🐌🐌
Think about how disgusting it is to put that on your face. How gross will you get? Be decent
I have been using the advanced snail 96 Mucin power essence for at least 3 years..

I use serum and moisturizer. My skin looks and feels better than ever. My favorite “moisturizer” hands down! Absolutely LOVE the consistency and feel on my skin.

Love the snail mucin ,I use for months, and my skin is radiant and glass looking ❤

I agre with you hun its not for me either.. thanks for sharing that info. ;love x
I am loving Cosrx at the moment, love the eye cream and the 6 peptide serum, really nice
Oh I love some of the other cosrx products, the peptide is so so lovely.. hope all is amazing with you hun xx
I use the iUnik Black Snail Cream for more than 3 years and I will never stop. Best cream ever!
I love everything from the mucin Cosrx line. I've tried a few others and have enjoyed them as well. I stick with CosRx because they collect the mucin in a humane way.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I like that CosRx is cheap and constantly on sale. I really notice a difference in hydration.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
That would explain my puffy red eyes in the morning. Definitely having a reaction like dust mites. Happy I saw your video. Now I will know not to use it!
I’m allergic to dust mites too. My allergist recommended me switch to silk pillowcases and sheets since those pests can’t live on silk.
Oh I am so glad the video came in useful.. love x
I am definitely allergic to snail mucin
I still like it. I find it soothing and hydrating. But I use micro current and every conducting gel I have tried irritates me. I am phasing the conducting gels out and replacing them with snail mucin which does not irritate my skin.
Oh thats such a good hack thank you so much for sharing as I think this would be great to use in place of those gels xx
Hey Rob!! May just be me ,but it dries my skin out then a small break out. Great video ❤❤❤❤
I know your not alone hun and there are quite a few people who say they have the same issue.. love x
Did you know that snails use human mucin to hydrate their skin? 🐌💦
as they should!
Haha love this comment xx
I like it a lot but am fully aware there's nothing in the way of actives in it, however, as I put on other serums with loads of actives,I think it makes a nice finisher before moisturiser and it's reasonably priced 🐌🐌🐌
Snail mucin hydrates my skin to the max accompanied by the G&G Power Peptides. The COSRX Snail Mucin will stay in my morning and evening routine. My 50 year old skin feels pampered and is looking its best also because of this 😊

Amazing and so so happy its working for you hun.. thanks for sharing x
Cheers!

I do enjoy the hydration I get from a snail mucin... And then I found a hidden unopened bottle of TO Marine Hyaluronics. Hydration through the roof!
Nice show Rob
Wanted to know whether you apply foundation or make up before filming, facing the camera.😊
Thank you so much hun.. no I dont wear anything other than a little concealer but thats not in many places.. I do use lighting though which I think helps lol xx

I know so many people who have said the same thing with it leaving small white bumps on the skin after a couple of used.. love x
I love my Cosx, but next I will try the other brand with the peptides that you recommended :)
I hoep it works well for you hun if you do try it.. love xx
I tried the Cosrx snail mucin essence, it made my skin feel incredibly greasy. Never again!

I think it works great for dry skin. Didn't work for me. It felt rather oily. I'm combo skin.
I agree with you hun.. love x
Whenever I use sosrx snail mucin cream as a last step of my p.m. routine, I wake up with a baby soft skin.
What do you think about chebula serum? It is supposed to be more potent than vitamin c.
Excellent video Rob, I too was a bit concerned about the snails, so I'll pass, thanks for again the balanced discussion, awesome 😊
Thank you so so much hun and thanks for watching xx
I use this snail moisturizer, and I can not tell any difference in my skin. I purchased the Peptide Snail Mucin but have not tried it yet. I hope I will like it better.
I hope it works for you hun but keep us posted on what you think.. love x

I agree hun, dont think we need to be bothering the snails for the type of results you see here.. love x
Snail mucin gives me acne, so i stopped using it, but i loved the glow and the texture.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I love Jumiso its my favourite use that with the cosrx one! Best combo ever
yay I am so so happy its working for you hun x

Oh I need to try them for sure :) - Hope all is amazing with you hun and sending you so much love x

Haha I agree I dont think many Gardners will be feeling sorry for snails lol xx
I use the snail mucin to sandwich my tretinoin which reduces irritation.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
My skin got irritated after using it for a while.. literally I beginning to look red😞😫and more sensitive
Oh I am sorry to hear that but thanks for sharing.. love x
I've never fancied putting that on my face ❤
Haha I am the same hun.. something about the slime element xx

Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your experiences xx
Maybe people moved on to salmon sperm PDRN?
Maybe they have... I think a lot of people have moved onto other ingredients for sure.. love x
Nope! Not for me! I can’t get rid of the image in my head of snails slithering across my face and it makes me gag! I’m happy for them to be in my garden but that’s where I want them thanks 😅
Haha I know the feeling I am the same when it comes to it x
The snail products are ok.
Im not impressed by them.
Nope.
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
Honestly, no difference good or bad
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I’ve not used snail mucin, and won’t because of concerns I have about how the mucin is produced and how the snails are cared for. I’m not vegan by any stretch of the imagination, but if i wouldn’t rub a snail on my face, I won’t buy the product. Xxx
This is one of my main issues to be honest - Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
I tried a bottle of the ubiquitous CosRx Snail Mucin Essence and didn't see any benefits that it had over my other serums and moisturizers.I won't be purchasing again.
I was the same, used the whole thing and didnt think it did anything xx
snail mucin is old news in Korea. it's not vegan and went out of fashion. the cosrx propolis line is good tho
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
The concept just never really appealed to me. Though I did always fear missing out. That lessened bit after this video.
I know what you mean Scott - I have always had FOMO with this but every time I tried it I was left disappointed xx
Snail & mucin, I can't get past that.
haha I know right x
Snail mucin did nothing for my skin…I had used the Cosrx one. Terrible. Waste of money
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x
@ I really appreciate the fact that you always reply and interact with your subscribers…thank you!
Oh amazing and I am so happy its working for you and like you say we need to set expectations on what it will deliver. love x
I am allergic to snail mucin. I use Mixsoon
OMG I love the bean essence so so much :) hope all is amazing with you xx
I’ve moved on. There’s so many better products out there.
It aggravated my Rosecea 😢
Thank you so so much for watching and sharing your thoughts x

Cancelling anything is silly. It it works, it works, keep using it.
I totally agree my motto is always use what works for you.. it is always interesting to see what others are saying and shifting trends and the reasons behind them.. love
Honestly, I have never heard of snail mucin. I guess I've had my head in the sand. 🐌
Haha I dont think your missing out on much lol.. love x
Love your videos but I'm not too fond of your eye-glasses. Unless you are looking for an emoji look. 🤓
I used to struggle with severe dry skin (think peeling off snake scales daily). Snail mucin and propolis were game changers for me. Not only does it help with hydration between daily applications, but I can miss days' worth of application. 🦋👩🦰
Oh thats amazing hun I am so so happy its working so well for you xx
Hey love! Do you have a code for Allies of Skin? I’ve been looking for it in the description boxes of your videos but I haven’t found it? 🫶🏽
