@uthermal I remember several months ago you were hoping to hit 50,000 subscribers by the end of the year. Congratulations on smashing that goal! I know you work hard at making your channel. I appreciate you doing it. Your content is great! I hope you have a good rest of your year 😊
Hey thermal I just wanted to say that I appreciate the hell out of your content. I used to watch lots of tournament play when SC2 first launched and I'm so glad your videos popped up in my suggestions.
@uthermal i like so much the fact that u seem full of life and enthusiastic in comparison to ur first vids. I like ur content ❤️ and i hope u put more fun challenges!!
I’ve been watching various Starcraft content creators for a few years now. I started watching your videos around a month ago and you quickly became my favorite Starcraft content creator. Love your videos bro keep doing what you do
And the madness continues! Keep it going µThermal! Couple of questions, by the way. Does splitting your workers at the start really give you an advantage, and if so what is it? Also, which race do you think is the easiest one to split workers with? A ranking will be cool :) Sorry if this was already asked, but it has gotten me thinking about it.
I think when you split drones, rather than letting them all auto-rally to the same mineral patch and then have to go search for a free mineral patch (like a drone musical chairs), splitting them shaves off that little bit of wasted time and sends them in smaller clusters to separate patches so they can beginning mining free patches more quickly. The advantage is that the first minerals come in a tad quicker and more efficiently which can speed up other steps of your build order and have an accumulative effect. It's about the same difficulty on any race.
Hi Thermy, I think for your next TERRAN challenge, you should do something with siege tanks. My suggestion is 1) you build tanks but can never siege them or 2) once a siege a tank you can never unsiege it for the rest of the game.
I love watching your videos, and it inspired me to go back and play Heart of the Swarm (I had quit on the mission where you have to spread creep to activate spores to shoot down special BCs) and Legacy of the Void finally. Just picking up things from you has improved my play a lot. Would you recommend videos to watch to help with hotkeys and learning where to look and why? I find myself sometimes losing time in the game because I'm watching things happen that you never watch, and my hotkey usage is abysmal. I also can't even begin to understand how you do most of the micro things you do ... I feel like I could never click so precise so fast (juggling thors, for example).
The game where he put the spine on the edge of the base got scouted. I think it would be interesting to have an overlord rush to the blank area just outside view, spill creep and use that to build the spine crawler definately out of view. Feels like it'd be fun
That or just explore the ways to drop creep from overlords as a whole tactic to improve. Games where he proxy hatches into moving spines into the other base, a few 'lords dropping creep could speed up their run. (Or move the queens in faster) and the fact that the creep is temporary helps ensure it's not a counter issue. Using it to also block the sandbagging of protoss, etc. I just see a lot of potential fun things to be done in this proxy raxes if that's considered as part of the build intent.
How about a no scout / no offense, for 15 minutes challenge? Maybe define that as not crossing the centerline of the map for 15 min, or whatever time you determine would be challenging enough for the challenge.
@@mikeshivak I have no idea. The time could be adjusted, maybe 5 min would make it challenging enough, still. Trying to think of a good challenge for him, and scouting, plus a little offense is in the first few min is what he does every game. Taking that away seems like a good challenge.
I travelled to Korea almost 10 years ago for SC2 now I only play maybe ever 2 months:( but I watch hours of you and another TH-cam. I love playing cheese.
Love watching your content. I haven’t played SC2 in years and I only played coop but your gameplay makes me want to try playing comp even though I have ladder anxiety lol
A challenge for you: Play 2vs2, random partners, and advance up to GM. What's the challenge? Do it letting your partners deciding how to move out... rush, or not, go air, go ground, etc... if they don't talk, then compliment their lead.
can you do a Zerg transition to T/P to GM challenge? where u neural an enemy scv/probe build CC then make only T/P units using the zerg just for their economy?
Could you maybe do a video on how to do the perfect worker split at the start of games? you seem to do it so quickly, and I always kinda screw it up and my workers derp around and all try to mine from the same patch, and then waste time derping around and eventually finding other patches... how much difference does it make? can it save you a couple of seconds towards a tech, maybe?
Idea for ZvZ - take 4 workers into your opponent's base and build 4 spines behind the mineral in the cannon rush style - the 3 wall in the 4th that can't be touched.
Must admit, I had hoped to see you go for another attempt of that spine crawler thing thing you got wrong last time. have this idea you might have practiced it :P. But any proxy is fun to watch.. I would hate to play against it. I also have a request, if you see this message ofc. There might be a very good reason for when you release your videos, and if there is deeper meaning to the schedule then that is fine. If not, would you consider releasing the videos an hour earlier at 18 CET. I often watch the videos for dinner, and dinner window is a 3 hour window normally. 17-20. And not sure if you plan it with such things in mind, maybe going for 18 GMT. And if that is the case, releasing it for 18CET would still have the video up for the GMT time. Not a big thing, and I get there might be many reasons for why it is as it is. But if not I would appreciate if you would consider it.
As an aside... I recently heard Pig say, on an old stream, that dropping landed Vikings from a MediVac is the ultimate troll. But beating 5k+ MMR players with Penguins is like Tuesday for you. Any chance you could give it a try? = ) **edit, if it works out I'd name it The Ultimate Troll in his honor**
Not sure if my input will match the community, but I really like shorter videos you put out. I'd rather get 3 shorter different videos than 2 long ones. I sometimes tend to watch longer videos (40 mins+) in 2 separate days. Also I'd really love to see coop and campaign on brutal/nightmare difficulty. The PvE community is huge in SC2
Biggest embarrassment yet? You lost one game. You should see Hastem losing every single game of Beating grand masters with stupid stuff.. Then he boldly uploads it to youtube anyway.

@uthermal I’ve never even played this game, but I’ve watched at least 12 of your videos now. Thanks for being so entertaining!
There's a campaign you can play for free, it's pretty fun!
If you get the basics down it helps you enjoy the gameplay and strats that little bit extra because you know what's going on
He makes it look easy but trust me this takes forever to get 20% this good
I haven't played in years but he brought back my love for this game lol
And if you do start playing, and get owned and feel pissed off, you can always fall back to watching the daily videos to make you feel like a GM again
Hey thermal I just wanted to say that I appreciate the hell out of your content. I used to watch lots of tournament play when SC2 first launched and I'm so glad your videos popped up in my suggestions.
I don't realty play this game anymore and haven't seriously since wings of liberty but I can't get enough of these videos keep up the good work.
I want you to explore protoss proxy battery rushes as a challenge.
Same
Yesplz
I sense the Has is strong in this one.
@@Misterevo3 I actually felt angry watching his proxy immortals back in the days
@uthermal i like so much the fact that u seem full of life and enthusiastic in comparison to ur first vids. I like ur content ❤️ and i hope u put more fun challenges!!
These videos are the highlight of my day.
I see all sorts of other content but this is one of the few that makes me excited when I see it.

"Stupid enough to GM" would have been quite accurate indeed 🤣 this challenge is hilarious really 😂
I love how I just end my lunch and there is always a new upload just popping out, greetings from Bolivia 🇧🇴

A corner base is absolutely a proxy hatch. Looking forward to seeing you try it on a gold or rich gas base.
This is like Florencio, but with micro¯o behind it. GG
That's a filthy build! Very impressive, beautiful to watch.
my favorite to gm series!!!
I gotta say, your content is helping keep things fresh. I'd rather lose doing something new than win with another 3 base macro build.
I'm loving this challenge; I'd like to see you do more Zerg challenges.
Great games! I'm enjoying this series quite a bit!

Idk about hotkeys, but Vibe has a Bronze to GM series for zerg that is very informative. He explains what to prioritize and where to look on the map.
@@stephencooney1768 Thanks I'll go look!
Can you play with air zerg to GM?
Another upload from my favorite uploader!

Two 15 second unstoppable commercials in a row just to watch your videos.
Screw TH-cam.

you need to start +1 before speed, then the timing lines up perfect. They both finish at the same time and gg. Should be about 4:30
Hello man ! i need to know something ..what setting is ..or what u use to see enemy MMR ..at starting game ? 🤪😜😎😏🙋🙋🙋🙋🙋

Next is proxy Nexus to GM. Im looking forward to it
Burrowed roaches in enemy base backed up with nydus to keep pressure on.
gg wp was fun watching your games =)
That second game was absolute madness!

Proxy hatch and medivac marine have been my fav ! cant wait for more mech though !!
Tank/Thor to GM, or Marine/Marauder/Medivac to GM?
Try one with multiple proxy hatches and come at your opponent from many different directions???
I think that last guy wasn't smart enough to play mind games against. That was your problem.
3:22 he throw the game away by targeted other spine with his own spine
God i love this series
Great stuff!
Idea for next Terran series: 1 or 2 base all-ins to GM
banelings might have changed the tide of the last game, with so many enemy zergs, you might have not missed.
Damn, competitive matches are fast... meanwhile it takes 2 hours for me to finally attack objectives on campaign mode
GOAT
Game over by 10 minutes as random race to GM

Lol @ Sparta zerglings.
I'd love to see a swarm host challenge!
3 wins in 12 mins. Is that a record?
It would be cool to do something else against zerg maybe... Maybe just bringing drones to do offensive spines is good enough.
Maybe in zvz just tweak the challenge to proxy spine crawler? Proxy hatch doesn’t really make sense in zvz
Uthermal can u do an episode where u mass spine rush him at his main with 5-8 drones 😂
13pool proxy hatch is beautiful
128 mmr in 20 minutes. I need 1 month of playtime to get it
man, you might be the one to replace Husky
Amazing!!!
This is so rude, I can't believe it. Episode six and I'm still laughing my ass off about how rude this is.
Lmaoooo this is hilarious 😂
POGGERS!
Next do different zerg tech rushes

Yes, it can!

A micro beast Terran loves using mutualisks when he plays zerg .. hmmm go figure ! Haha 😅
I still vote for mass nydus everywhere. Creep out their whole base.
? is just subtle BM

Proxy hatch then make ultralisk 😅
Short and cheesy
Baboon to GM please
