The P12 Diamond is very cool to drive, the biggest headache was getting the right people to play the Bikes and 2/3 player challenges. The best thing you can do is host a game, be patient and have a use your mic. while your target might be to do your challenges, help others too and you'll have great co-operation.
For those that treat little kids like dirt, think again, while they can sometimes be silly, they are eager to help and respond to guidance, not the trash talk, cursing and bullying.

I play like crazy. I've turned friends who don't play racing games & they semed to enjoy the party sessions. Even my 6 y/o son & 13 y/o nephew like it. I love this game so much, I took over my wifes profile & started fresh. Took the Big Surf by storm, everything but online challenges are done on her profile.(Big Surf only). My gamer tag is kskodiak.

Same :( I've once managed to get over 399 Challenges and was so happy when i realized i only just got around 100 more till the end,I played and played and hoped i will reach 500 but no, the game reset and i smashed my controller just because of that.

There are 3 NFS most wanteds to let you know and burnout isn't one. It's the O.G. Version in 2005 the handheld 5,1,0 and the 2012 version.

Criterion doesn't make games anymore. They had the formula to do a Brt Paradise 2, but EA forced them to make NFS Most Wanted
...and so the struggle for the P12 Diamond continues into 2018 with Burnout Paradise Remastered released, hopefully these players are much better
2 years later, the nintendo switch version releases, thats still a no
2021 and servers are abandoned by players on PC . Guess what? I downloaded complete save, saves me a lot of headaches. Kudos to people who did it.

And just like that, this was the last thing we’ve ever heard from the team regarding this game. Truly shows how much love and passion they put into it, and then EA royally fucked them over just for NFS. Goes to show that the parent company doesn’t want you to do whatever you want.

@@carsinmars9446 While I’d love to agree, it’s extremely unlikely with the OG Criterion members gone. What makes it notable is that the studio is focused on Need for Speed way more than any other project(s) at hand. EA owns both the former and Burnout in terms of their IPs, so you might as well save your breath. Respectfully saying that, of course.

I downloaded big surf island, but i try to get there on 4th street and it is still blocked, idk why. The bridge still looks uncomplete. ... I press backbutton -> account management -> and it saids " burnout paradise servers are not available at this time. please try again alter"

They should make more dlc for this game!!! Please!!! Loads of people still play it online/offline. I would buy more dlc for sure. This is my favorite racing game of all time.

I felt weird when my Big Surf license said I had 100% complete but only 8 out of the nine cars. I don't think that other one should've counted as a Big Surf Island car. Oh well. :D

Never did get that P12..... nor did I see anyone driving it. It's hard to find anyone still playing, at least for me so this car is near impossible to get.

I have the Diamond P12 and its better then the regular P12 but no where close to the 88 special performance wise. They gave the DP12 a slight speed and boost increase, new engine sound and the diamond paint job which does look sweet but it looks awful in pretty much any other color then the purplish black it comes with. In my opinion the car would look a lot better if they actually modeled diamond studs that had a shine on the car rather then those fake textures.

1. Does the Normal Version of the game (Without Big Surf Island) work at all?
2. If neither work, have u down a ps3 'software update' recently?
If u haven't done the necessary software update, it might work after doing that, if not, you might need to install the game after downloading it!

citrion games is good at scaming people i have no problem with the game but on there website burnout ultimate box comes with all dlc i assumed that applys to all systems even pc 39.99 later big disappointment i had the ps3 one and pc both stock form :(

Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island is a new game or an expansion of Burnout Paradise? Surf Island is a part of the game that I have to unlock in Burnout Paradise? Where can I download Surf Island?
TY, it took me 2 months to unlock it, that's 300 hours of gameplay, online in total. That meant, i've had to dealt with ignorent and stupid players
I don't know what to tell you, but I really hope it does. A CD with all packs would be awesome for everybody! Hope you get the Island and all the other DLC's, they're awesome!
so that means:
350 freeburn challenges
70 timed challenges
10 island challenges
70 bike challenges
=500 and getting the P12 Diamond
All I need is one more smash gate and I'm only 59% complete

@LockDown4000 The Diamond P12 is won when you complete litterally EVERYTHING. All normal game challenges, online challenges, challenges for the Island, online Island challenges, gate smashes, billboards, super and megajumps, and road rules and showtimes for both regular and Island gameplay

Criteron Games do the Burnout 2 Point Of Impact Remastered on 2023 but i don't like burnout changing i like boost takedown And Burnout 2 Point Of Impact Remastered on PS4 Xbox one PS5 Xbox series X/S And Nintendo Switch And don't forgot about takedowns!
Well, I have burned out. Paradise City remastered for my switch, and it gave me all the DLC that you could not get on the Xbox 360 Version.

This game was the perfect burnout game in my opinion, just total madness. I loved it
we've diamond on PC for about 2 years now. Next time, if your going to pre-insert items in the game for a content pack. why don't you actually release it. You know, even though its your game, you were able to port it to PC, and it won't be long now before a player ports it themself. Odds are they will release it for free, and you won't get a dime.

I remember reading about helicopters and planes and all this awesome stuff as well as boats...You should think about more DLC for Paradise city because us fans love this game and would like more DLC :)
Too bad they fucked up the stats for the toy p88 special. It was the best toy car but it jumps like a brick!! Even the donut jump on the island isn't doable. POS since remastered.
Yep, I have may bets on the second team to help people on the PC to get the Island and Cops & Robbers, they really have to do it cause all Burnout versions except PC have them, it's not like Burnout to be selective.
As for what could be left in Burnout, it comes to the problem of Planes. Due to a brief preview of a plane flying in Burnout Paradise in CrashTV and on TH-cam it might could be planed.
Anyway they needed a break and they had it all summer it's time to get back to Burnout :)
The best thing is to make a debit card. If you don't have money on it you can't buy. This way if it gets stolen they can only use the money you left on it.
Try making a decent debit card like Visa or Mastercard so it will be accepted on the PS Store. It's easy to make and you just have to leave a bit more money on it so it can stay active... that's all...
And with it you can buy anything you want on the PS Store... or any online store.

8. Anihilator Street Rod - Something like the EXTREME Hot Rod only with Speed Boost
9. P12 Diamond - A P12 with a modified handling and a Diamond paintjob... the hardest car to get...
Well you can say they're new but you get 1 car and the rest you have unlock.
It's a prepaid card that you can buy from certain stores like Gamestop or BestBuy and it helps you add funds to your "Wallet" on Playstation Network without getting a credit / debit card.
They're only in US now, with 20$ or 50$ vers.
From 1 sept they should appear in UK with 20 pounds and 50 pounds.
After that it may extend in the whole EU region... I hope...

That's incredibly unreal. For PS3 you need a normal account (the one you play online with) and when you go into the Playstation Store you have to register a credit / debit card so you can pay for what you buy.
To buy something from the PS Store / Burnout Store you add the money you need from your card to the "Wallet" and then go pay for what you wana buy. After that you download it and there you go! You have a new game or add-on. PS Cards work too.
YOU DON'T PAY EVERY MONTH ON PS3!
The Ultimate Box only has:
Burnout Paradise (The Game)
Cagney Pack (FREE)
Bikes Pack (FREE)
Party Pack (Premium)
For the other packs you got to go to the Playstation Store, XBOX Marketplace or the Burnout Store.
You need a credit / debit card to buy them or you can get special PSN Cards that have diffrent values (available only in certain regions). Don't know about any cards for the XBOX as I don't own one...

I have a problem... i want to get the annhilator street rod, i have done all the events, found all the smash gates, billboards, mega jumps and done all the road rules but yet still i only have 75% of the license. Do I have to do the freeburn challenges aswell?
theyre probably not releasing it on the pc because then everyone would just pirate it. Then they wouldn't gain any money, which is the thing that keeps every developer going. Soooooooooooooo unless you find some way to port it to pc, you'll have to buy a console to enjoy big surf island.
does anybody know a car that handles as good as the p12, albiet a bit faster? (preferably stunt boost) I really like the P12's grip and maneuverability, but its starting to get too slow when you have a burnout license. Also the P12 diamond is not available for PC, so I cant get that...

i've just found out that you don't have to have burnout paradise ultimate box to get the super bikes, You only need the original paradise city and xbox live. Once you get xbox live you just go on the game and you will get 2 super bikes for free! Then all you have to do is complete your bike licence.

@malbloto2 anytime, what you have to look for not The Ultimate Box, that only has all FREE updates and the Party Pack. If you want the full-option version you need to download it from PS Store. It's about 29$ which is extremely cheaper then buying them all separatly. Only for Playstation I think... well good luck and happy burning!

In my opinion... Burnout is the greatest car game ever on this planet! Realistic enough to not be boring and cool enough to be amazingly fun! It's just right, it's Paradise ;)
Let me clear things up. Some guys using Burnout PC and a special program called a trainer that gives you various cheats and alters the game, made their cars to fly and got to see the Island before it was finished.
You can also see it on TH-cam... if can find it. But Burnout is still Burnout so the Island may be comming soon.
On PS3: You have to conect you're PS3 to the internet and go into burnout paradise. It will ask you to update to 1.9.
On XBOX: Go to XBOX Marketplace and look for Burnout Paradise 1.9 update. Download and install it.
On PC: Big Surf Island and Cops 'n' Robbers not out yet.
I think it's hilarious how all my friends and I have had all the original 490 Challenges and 102% on the orignial license for ages now, and suddenly everyone else wants to get all their chellenges done just to unlock a single car. Didn't care about it before, huh?
Well yeah, in a way... but keep in mind the Legendary Cars are much bigger and faster than the toy vers.
I love them all, don't really care about speed and all that, I like Burnout cause it's fun, and so is Big surf Island!
