Upgraded axe and upgraded cross always go top DPS for me, even if evolved last
@@Aliensrock Evolved axe actually has infinite piece, I'm pretty sure. If you get it in library and just keep running in one direction you can attack about a dozen of the axes on top of each other creating a massive wall of damage.
Garlic actually does life-steal when ascended. So if you had that and ascended whip you’d have a lot of life gain.
This build was basically perfect for an ascended garlic, because the garlic doubles in strength for a few seconds after you take damage, so it’s a bummer that Tyler didn’t take it.
But the lifesteal is terrible, it does like 1 health at totally inconsistent intervals

Issue there is that it only seems to siphon health when *it* kills something, not when it deals damage.
@@sixberry2468 And there's also the problem that the souleater NEEDS you to heal to scale and do some decent damage, and by the time you get it you probably are killing enemys to fast or they do so much damage to you that it's better not to risk it.
It looks like Santa Water aims just like the peachone, it goes in a circle around your character over time. Basically, it draws one arc, then it waits for cooldown, then it continues the arc, but at a new location based on the location of your character. I think this is why it does so much damage, since it causes enemies to stack up in the areas not hit by the weapon, then it hits those areas.
Edit: Clock Lancet targets in the exact same way. Seems like it's a common theme with many weapons in this game. And like numbers on a clock, the clock lancet's shot changes 30 degrees with each shot.
It does. If you have enough projectiles and stand still, Santa Water will draw a circle around your character.
Before you have enough projectiles, it will do the circle plan but skip a lot of the arc and each have a bit different radius. As you get more the radii even out to just further than evolved Bible and they land in a solid arc, with max duration/cooldown/projectiles you can keep a holy water full circle around you
If you up the cooldown enough you can see that the the pots dropped draw a pentagon on the ground.
The clock lancet moves like well a clock so yes it does change 30 degrees each time

The bracer helps a lot to counteract the large evolved bible's tendency to let some enemies through, also when you stand still the bible stops or at least pushes back almost all enemies.
Santa water fires in a circle going clockwise around the character, each projectile being around 15 minutes across the clock face.
Speaking of predictability, at the end I noticed that the Clock Lancet actually does go around in a circle, striking at every hour marking
The evolved whip and evolved garlic pair together because the garlic does more damage the more you heal, so the whip heals you and you get more damage. Just try it.
temporary boosts go down when you level up, so things like this character and the one with the lightning ring should avoid leveling up for a while to make the most of their boosts
I am so glad this became a series, and I am really glad that they just added more content! Can't wait for you to figure out the true secret character!
You mean the one you get from killing death himself?
To clarify, any Elite spawned before the 10 minute mark will NOT have an upgraded weapon in its chest. Only elites that spawn after the 10 min mark will.
I love this series, but I also can't wait to see more Strange Horticulture. Keep up the great content.
I'd really like to see the other ascended weapons, like the garlic!
It's nice to see tanky builds are viable in this. Laurel would've been incredible, but it's a hard pick to choose what weapon to give up for it.

Evolved bible works like Permacharge, with a full uptime on n bibles and having 2n bibles when it's active
bible's evolve just reduces the time to summon again by 3 seconds and changes the art.
its the same as unevolved in the summon-time out plan
You are right about the 10 minute mark the first chest after 10 minutes is a guarantee evolved upgrade (probably the first item that is maxed-out but idk that much yet)
Chests are always evolved weapons if you have a weapon able to evolve

I’m not sure but I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten the Santa water to evolve by using attracorb thing to evolve it. It cause bigger splashes that move to you while growing bigger. Idk tho might’ve been my imagination
There is a video of someone who survived about 90 seconds past the 30 minute mark. At 31 minutes, another "Death" spawns in.
Tried this character this morning. Burst out laughing when i got a massive axe to start.

Santa water does have a pattern but it’s hard to control. It goes clockwise around your character just outside of the range of the James bible.

ive found the best way to utilise the book is by upgrading the projectile speed, this increases the speed of the rotation so enemies are hit more frequently and are knocked out of the circle more. Though if you really wanted a force field getting garlic would have helped as garlic also knocks back enemies as they enter the area and can also deal dmamage to enemies that make it past the books
Have you heard of indie zombie game that’s blowing up recently? I thinks it’s a game you’d like a lot. Sadly I don’t know the name but I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find it

The existence of Santa Water and Santa Fire means that Santa Earth and Santa Air also exist.

Clock Lance fires in the 12 hour directions in a clockwise order.
Not only did the Time Lance fire exactly around in a circle, so did the Santa Water. Seems like a pattern in this game for me.

There is no real way to aim Santa Water, however, at later levels it is co sister in being placed around you in an alternating semi circle. (With upgrades it can change to be more than a semi circle, when it falls again, it continues where it left off in the circle.)

Clock lancet with high attack speed and effect duration nearly permafreezes the entire screen, it's fun :D
I wonder if the Santa water aims like its a pendulum dangling over your character. It seems to always be making half loops some sharper than others. That's what I think it could be.
For an example of what I mean look up paint pendulum videos and then just picture the thing holding the string is the character moving around.
It makes a full circle if you stop moving
It goes in a circle. If you get full Santa Water and duplicator, and stand still, it will form a full circle around you

Edit: Did a send off run with Dommario, got 5.8M damage on Runetracer. Used both amulets on the Grim Reaper, only extended the match like 10 seconds.
You can try garlic +Bible and Santa water +vandalier. Enemies will be stun lock into vandalier and Santa water damages, you can also add a magic wand for cool down reduction

If nobody noticed, the clock lancet shoots in a clock pattern (straight up, 1oclock, 2 o’clock, straight right etc.)
Damm that Santa water really did some work being 2nd in Dmg.

If you go into the game files and change one of the weapon damages to a few million and get laurel so you don't get one shot, you can kill the final boss and unlock him as a character

Sifd has done some videos regarding ascended weapons. Basically he showed that only elites that spawn after 10 min will drop a chest that can ascend a weapon.

Santa water is really underrated, it carried me through several money runs in hyper library, and it was by far the highest DMG dealer, even when I was using king Bible and runetracers
The only bad thing about aliensrock videos is that there is only 1 a day!
What I'd love to see is a build with all weapons you target yourself using the direction you are facing. So basically knife and whip, even though that one loses its aimability after just one upgrade. (Or no upgrades at all, given that you have the +1 projectile meta upgrade.) Throw in a laurel for one of the slots. You'd probably be unable to avoid using something with AoE, so perhaps throw in santa water (because I feel it is aimable), or perhaps the two birds because using them takes skill. How far could you get with a build that focuses on player skill as opposed to player damage? (Decide for yourself whether you can do it on the new map or hyper modes or whether that would be too hard.)
You can aim the whip effects to one side by wiggling with really good timing tho 👍
Are you going to try the new MissingNo character?
To get the tankiest you could get the laurel, garlic armor, king bible, blood whip, sythe and the lancelet. Then get the armor, hollow heart, pumoreia, and spellbinder for the laurel as well as the chandelier for the sythe and the multiring thing
Edit:replace the king bible with santa water since you need the santa water character to complete the build
you should go for the highest level in one run WR I think it is 182 now.
Not sure if this is common knowledge, but the "Temporary Bonuses" of certain characters are reduced by level, not time. In porta's case, she will lose her cooldown at level 2 (Though there was and may still be a bug where if you pick a new weapon for level 2 that weapon will inherit the cooldown reduction until you hit level 3) and Clerici appears to lose her area of effect linearly until you reach about level 5 in my experience.
I think if you have all the right upgrades, you can just have a permanent circle of santa water around you
With the bibles when you see the double bibles it re-activates when you upgrade them so you might see doubles of summoned bibles.
Santa water is actually op it did almost as much as your axe

I've noticed that each evolved weapon (except rainbow bird) is an evil version of the regular one
when there are mods for people to create their own characters/maps, it must be awesome

as an Italian these names are comedy gold lol.
The temporary area increase decays by level at 5 the bonus wears off so it can be useful to leave xp for a bit
The other new character with projectile duration and speed makes runecaster just buckets of fun.

tbh, I think there should be the ability to just get chicken from level up like how you do after you max everything so you don't get stuck into losing a slot.
Clock lancet isnt affected by other items but it is still insanely good cause it has a predictable freeze pattern going clockwise around you
It’s weird that when you upgrade King Bible while it’s still up it gives both the upgraded and unupgraded circles at once for a short time.
this happens with all upgrades, it’s just most noticeable with the holy bible. every ability activates right after you upgrade it. it’s very noticeable on the pentagram too

Why did the big projectiles go away like 2 minutes in? Was it a temporary effect?
For this character they have a temporary area size up to prevent their weapon from feeling useless. They aren’t supposed to be a challenge character so they have a bonus to help the weak start.
You should check out the browser-based puzzle game 5 Step Steve. It's not the longest game ever around two hours but I think it's really creative. There is also a sequel called N Step Steve

The garlic would have been a better upgrade than the clock lancet in my opinion. The clock lancet is better when you have faster weapon attacks(As it freezes enemies more often then) And Garlic would have upgraded to add in a passive(Albeit random) health regen and gotten the bonus from the area effect. Which combined with the whips 1 health regen would make it more.
Do the secret character and try and kill the grim reaper!!! It unlocks a character that’s secret and can be done! Maybe save a full screen clear on them

if you play the skeleton with runebinder and bibles you basicly have 5 stats that boost your dmg and knock back to enemies with dmg, proj speed, cast speed proj number and duration this is guaranted win no need to move anymore

Just to add something, garlic isn't bad in the late game. It's bad in the mid game before you evolve it, evolved garlic is decent.

I don’t think you can in a legitimate run. Maybe if you tailored your build specifically for the ungodly amounts of cheese you would need.
