This is where Jordan Peterson grinds my gears, he blatantly states that we live in the best time in human history, while simultaneously admitting he's quite ignorant about human history before the 20th century or so. Sure the 20th century was quite horrible, but also had its positives. Going further back, though, there's no evidence people disliked life (I'd say on the contrary) and going into pre-history we might call those times the garden of eden, which is (mind you) 95% of our actual history.
The idea that we live in the best time is purely derived from economic and material numbers, and any sane person knows those things don't bring happiness (or content or peace or even the drive to continue on a personal level).
Also, to show where my idea of the garden of eden comes from; in pre-history humans worked 20 hours per week (hunting, cooking and moving around which is also fun) and our lifespan was actually 80 years as well, we had little conflict as the human population was so small we could easily avoid each other, and the earth was still packed with life and meaning.

It isn't just nihilism, it's hubris. It's saying "I can't leave things to God. I have to go beyond my place in the world and alter the path of things".
I've pondered that at times about the way civilization is going, that it would be best to collapse things asap and save as much of what's good before more is lost, but it's always countered by what follows, that that isn't my place or anyone else's. We should be who we are rather than take on a mantle too great for our shoulders to bare like that.

Brilliant analysis of accelerationism! I enjoy writing sci-fi, and it's fascinating how when you were describing the way an accelerationist desires to find the garden of Eden, I realized that this was the same motivation of a character I had outlined in my writing In his opening scene the character, by the name of Urban, (no so subtle nod to Urban II) is tending a garden, and likewise wishes to bring this to the world around him through his own power. It's fascinating how these patterns emerge organically.

I live in a small town, something close to The Shire, just beside the farms, it was built around a paper industry. Seven apartment buildings lined up next to each other, just across a football field. I was blessed enough that I could rent the semi-basement. It has wide windows, stays fairly cold in summer, and the electrical bill is covered by the owner because heating during winter would be too pricey. It really looks like a hobbit hole. I'm even physically shaped and hairy like a hobbit.
I'm 35 years old and I gratuated from college in the IT field, but haven't worked much in it, and for a short period of time. The last few years, I've seen society accelerate through technological progress beyond sanity (or bellow, I should say). Mainly on the communication front. It's been years now since I have stopped trying to keep up with it, I'm at the flip-flop cellphone stage. I see how it impacts my life, and the life of people around me. I only live half in the world. It's quite an adaptation but one can do it without too much friction. Although, I know soon, my lifestyle will be taken away from me.
I am getting pulled into the accelerationism society itself is getting pulled into, by demonic agencies and intelligences. So here I am, waiting for Gandalf to show up so my adventure finally starts! I have been waiting for the call all my life.
I know my comment likely won't get read. Civilization is falling way too fast now for a 4 years old video comment to become a source of interaction.
In any case, God bless, you that read through it!

Thanks for the videos! You constantly articulate and clarify the deep, spiritual questions and themes that people my age cant.
Im 21 years old, I listen to what is generally agreed upon as "trash" music; Soundcloud Rap. But the underground rap scene is a online community filled with people that shares the same interests, upbringings and outlook on life that are constantly trying to _"Figure"_ it out..
I bring this up because in the music I listen to, I can't stop hearing symbolic references like:
    - "Im drowning/stuck in the sea,"
    - "Dreaming of her"(among all of the archetypal 'hags,' young men are in search of the good feminine)
    - "Lit/Like a star in the dark"
    - "Got it out the mud"(of or from dust/dirt, it/I came forth)
    - "She ate my kids"(Usually said in a positive and boastful manner about getting a blowjob, I think this is a subconscious reference Baal or the dragon in revelations)
This video along with a new song that came out called "Moonlight Dancing"( th-cam.com/video/i20GT0F-Gs4/w-d-xo.html) reaffirms my hypothesis that people my age are in a spiritual war, on the frontlines, in the trenches...
You not only helped me realize what is really going on, but also lead me to a new way of thinking and perceiving world that would allow me to navigate it much easier and be a small light within my family and community and I thank you for that.
    Cheers!!!

No, accelerationism is not nihilism or becoming a cynic, or aggravating chaos: it means to embrace the deterritorialization caused by capitalist processes, and push it to its schizophrenic limits and avoid reterritorialization, this means to attack the things that prevent capitalism reaching the schezophrenic phase, on which everything is so disconnected that it stops functioning. Many currents of accelerationism (_/acc) state that this will happen when the techno singularity happens, or when we somehow return to feudalism, or collapse into mini States or put a positive anarchist society afterwards, or use gender to accelarate in the form of transgenderism. This oversimplification doesn't help anyone understand the concept, and the philosophy behind it.

Agreed that it's dangerous to engage accelerationism in the form of dogmatic philosophy, however, if taken purely as a critique, universal acceleration necessitates Christianity in and of itself as a potentially valid theory for the saviour of humanity. I think it would be helpful to differentiate between dogmatic and critical thinking before attempting to project a perceived intention onto others that may see or interpret the world differently from yourself and may in fact hold strikingly similar values. After all the one thing we all have in common is our humanity. The majority of those investigating accelerationism phenomenalogically are attempting a form of arc building themselves. They can see a great flood is happening and are simply asking if we can survive this and if so, then in what form? This is the conversation of our time in many ways. Dogma and politics are childish and inherently ignorant directions of travel. In all groups and under all labels there is both ignorance and enlightenment, wouldn't you agree?

My objection to accelerationism is that, like all utopian ideas, the promise of a ideal future state can seduce us into justifying evil actions in the present. It is important to understand that imperfection is an inherent quality of earthly existence, and that only God can bring about paradise.

would hav been interesting to draw parallels to christ's 'destruction of the temple'. dare say christ could b considered quite the 'accelerationist' figure, and breaks out of the characterization of accelerationism as a fundamentally nihilistic philosophy (which isnt to say it doesn't often take that form). spose this quick bit seems to only b looking from one angle, ignores the ideal of transcendence which also strongly characterizes some accelerationist formulations and perhaps a more delicate breakdown of how that ideal of transcendence can function creatively or destructively.

Accelerationism is pushing capitalism to its max, into hyperdrive. It's not just about causing collapse if you actually read more into it. Push Capitol into a technological singularity, maybe to something more post human. The Landian approach seems the most viable, as he seems to have the best grasp on where capitol is moving and ways to accelerate the process. One being the collapse of Liberal democracy which is a sham.

I'm sorry but what you are suggesting is largely misguided. I disagree that bringing down the current structure of society is somehow tied to nihilism. At least not primarily, and certainly not for me.
I'm going to be really critical of you here, but if you're open minded you'll listen to what I'm saying. Perhaps the reason why you think that accelerating the collapse of the western world is coming from, or is tied to, a nihilistic mindset is because you are so well off. It's easy to be hopeful and see meaning while sitting in a Golden Throne. It's simple to suggest that people become like Christ when you personally aren't struggling and suffering unnecessarily. Honestly, you're position is incredibly weak.
Western society is rotting. By choosing not to accelerate the rot what you are doing is sacrificing tomorrow for today, and you are sacrificing the tomorrow of someone else for your own today. So not only are you not deferring gratification for yourself, which we know is healthy, but you are doing so at the expense of others in the future, including children. I see nothing reasonable or compassionate about sacrificing future lives, or the quality of the lives on the alter of right now.
The structure of society as it is now needs to go. It needs to be completely rebuilt from scratch if we expect future generations to have the kinds of lives we say we want for them.

    • @cbalan777
      @cbalan777 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@chrisc7265 True enough, I probably do have a villain origin story brewing. Saying "because you are so well off" is a way of saying that he's out of touch. It happens to a lot of people who view the world from their perch of contentment. They haven't struggled, or they've forgotten the sting. So even if there is resentment involved, what of it? I'm supposed to not resent people saying ridiculous things from places of safety? Make an actual argument for why I shouldn't feel even the slightest resentment.

    • @chrisc7265
      @chrisc7265 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@cbalan777 hey, was not expecting a reply here. Good to hear you have some self awareness --- identifying with the villain is fun, but it's a tough line to walk. Curtis Yarvin, who is no stranger to identifying with the villain himself, is good on this: the regime is terrible. The regime says the Nozoos are the worst thing ever. Therefore, the Nozoos must be cool, I'm gonna call myself a Nozoo. This is de-celeration, because you're giving your enemy a propaganda bogeyman --- and that gives your enemy energy to fight. Not to mention that you're accepting your enemy's frame. Not to mention the Nozoos in the 21st century are ridiculous.
So it's an all around L, even though I understand the knee jerk reaction (I know you don't call yourself a Nozoo, I'm talking about villains in general).
Regarding resentment, there's a really good book called The Temple of the Golden Pavilion by Yukio Mishima you should check out. It explores this psychology in great depth and with great empathy and understanding. (also Nietzsche is the master of resentment but you probably already know that).
It's a weakness. It masquerades as righteousness, but unlike true righteousness, resentment cannot fuel the creation of beauty, and it inevitably fuels the destruction of beauty. "Once we destroy xyz, we'll finally be able to create the beautiful thing" is the perfect psychological trick, because the demon of destruction can have his way with you while the whole time you think you're acting in the name of beauty or goodness. The easy way out of this is: just start creating the beauty now. Skip the destruction. When the regime collapses, there will need to be alternatives ready. Start making the better world now, don't use the promise of a better world as a cover for destruction.
If you can manage this you aren't truly resentful, because the truly resentful cannot create.

Better and new business management is needed it should be different than how the modern business is being run
If a flower man infuriates the mainstream narrative or elites opinion it means bad for his business nor can he interact with people that disagrees with the elites on policies
Furthermore to work at the business people have to work for the establishment and the narrative it propose, the narrative of establishment and conduct is flawed and that could lead to business crushing and another reason business would fail as it used social programming with its products.
The best way to example would be if comic creator wants to work in the industry he has to serve the elites who put him there and the narrative of the elites . This business plan is not sustainable and is in a bridge prone to crash so better alternative is needed.
The comic artists distances himself from truth and becomes a gatekeeper a subversion agent to maintain peace but the crash happens yet because the business model of the elites were flawed and not sustainable over a long period of time. Now if we replace comic book with society..
New ways of governing is needed new ways of banking is needed , people need to decide whether they want usury or not
and people need to find an alternative to mark of the beast system
