I'd honestly say Chilled didn't make any shady deals in this game, he just got crazy lucky the moment he had the red monopoly. Everyone landing on his property in a row gave him an insane amount of momentum. Also, Larr got hit by karma hard here. I don't know what he was going on about how he shouldn't have to give Chilled the money back that Chilled gave Matt so he could honor the immunity deal, and him bankrupting to the jail fee was fair.
Lawrence wasn't ever trying to win the game for himself he was just trying to gift it to Matt, chilled in the beginning tried to give Lawrence a very fair deal that got them both Monopoly and Lawrence didn't want to do it instead he would have rather kept no none of them having a monopoly but Matt and basically gifting the game the Matt

I feel bad for Tom. His loss seemed to mostly be down to really bad luck. I also respect how he accepted his loss far more than Larr and Matt. It's one thing to try and keep Chilled from running away with things if he has been in the lead the whole game, but to continuously try and keep him down with horrible excuses, and then get so salty when he starts to come back. I wouldn't mind seeing them play again, I always enjoy watching a monopoly session, but holy shit I hope they take a good hard look at their behavior. The other problem is that since they always play these while streaming, the people in their chats always egg them on and encourage them to be massive assholes.

Larr especially from the first episode this session has been quite a unnecessary dick to chilled during the game( every time Chilled wants to trade, tries to fuck him over, anyone else wants to trade, he’s fair now.). In fact I’m more surprised Chilled isn’t calling it out. If you’re a man accept that L and shitty luck otherwise just being a dick to one player the entire game and your suprised karma comes to slap you back? Lawrence made this game so frustrating to watch. He claimed Chilled was the villain immediately after trying to steal his money because Chilled stepped in to make sure a deal he made continued as he intended. So annoying to see people play like this and have new guests constantly paint Chilled as some devious backstabber every time.
Exactly, like i said on another comment Lawrence came into this seeing Chilled as a villain and determined to not work with him, or to find some way to distrust him. If he was that determined to essentially throw the game then he never should have agreed to play with Chilled to begin with. It honestly makes me miss the Derp Crew playing it with him instead.

Wow, Lawrence really ramped up the negative behavior at the end there. He was losing, and started lashing out at chilled personally. Accusing CHILLED of being the unethical one, purely because Chilled was winning. This kind of thinking plagues a lot of modern day thinking, that the person in the lead must have gotten there by stepping on the people who aren't in the lead. Even in monopoly, a game that's built to BE that, it isn't necessarily true. Chilled didn't win because he was treating his opponents unethically, he was more than fair, and in fact went above and beyond to give his opponents a chance at coming back. But in comes Lawrence with the "He's dragging out the game to play with his food..." and other malicious remarks to try and lambast Chilled as a sleazebag. That's not something friends should be doing to each other. And that quote itself was only the beginning of an ever increasing assault against Chilled's character. The whole bit about Chilled helping them maintain their immunity deals, and Lawrence saying that he would keep the money next time... I'm not even sure where to begin there. One, Lawrence wouldn't be able to keep the money. In that immunity deal, Lawrence would have to give that money back to Matt, and then Matt would return it to Chilled. They were just cutting out the middle man with Larr giving it to Chilled. Also, what a dick thing to say. "I'm not part of your deal..." Blah blah blah. Chilled wasn't part of the immunity deal, but he stepped in to help those two maintain it, since neither could pay it. How did Lawrence expect to be able to uphold the deal if neither he nor Matt could pay for the rent? (It's almost like immunity deals are stupid and unethical... Mmmmm…) Lawrence's behavior is the kind of thing that, in the moment, one might not realize is bad. But, when reflecting, they notice just how much of a dick they were. I've done it, where I say something, then later reread what I said, and I regret it. I hope Lawrence sees that what he was doing was not acceptable, and that he was being a sore loser. I love you Chilled, and you didn't deserve nearly any of what happened, or what was said.
Matt and Lars: *Cannot pay for the immunity deal between them even if they pooled their money together, someone would have to lose money in selling houses or Matt might even bankrupt* Chilled: *Helps Matt uphold the deal in a deal that he gains literally nothing from and can only lose if Lars decides to keep it. Literally only using the money so neither of them lose anything. If he does nothing, he would only benefit but decides to give them a chance* Lars: "This unethical son of a bitch, he's playing us!"
If anything, Larr and Mat's immunity deals strechted out the game. They kept themselves alive, which made them bleed more to chilled. They were willing to go so far that Chilled literally had to bail them out by giving them money to uphold their 'deal'.
This was nice to watch. This was the most fair monopoly game Chilled has played and it's nice he got rewarded for it. Matt and Larr screwed themselves to the point where they weren't even making sense trying to accuse Chilled of something by the end. Their immunity deals and inactiveness in trade deals caused their loss.
I see this comment thread has the Larr stuff covered, lol, so moving on from that: Why not take Chilled's deal at the end. Think it was to sell boardwalk for some cash to put houses down. Might as well. Absolutely nothing to lose, because you're guaranteed to lose in the current state. From the rolls of the dice, looks like Matt loses either way I suppose. Chilled definitely hit a lot of luck, but he played the game well to make sure he was in a position to even be lucky. The moment he got the monopoly, he went all-in with houses. Could have easily backfired, but it was his only play as far as I could tell. Matt & Larr kept claiming Chilled played them, but I don't even see how that could be true. Chilled was bending over backwards to make deals happen. Honestly, it seems Larr should have been the clear favorite at one point in the early game. But he played way too conservative despite practically drowning in so many potential monopolies. Took too long to make the key moves.
That's the key difference between Chiled and Lars. Lars had all the properties to make anything he wanted but refused to make any deal that wouldn't immediately benefit him in the short term and be great for him in the long term. He got greedy despite having more than enough and wanted more. Chilled had a really bad hand, he couldn't do anything but deal with someone who wanted to milk him dry for any deal. Chilled bent over backwards and did everything he could to put himself in a position to win, he analyzed every position and took a loss early so he benefit later, he used everything he could to survive and thrive, including the House Deal with Tom. Chilled is a perfect example of an underdog story of him coming back from what was essentially second worst position behind Tom to pull out a victory (with no small amount of luck from his own houses) while Lars was just a fall from grace story where he started with practically a perfect hand but lost it all due to his own mistakes and greed
I agree with that he def shouldve taken the boardwalk trade but at that point i think it mightve been about pride at that point instead of risk Chilled was basically a fire at that point and he just didnt want to feed it
i'd say chilled played more than honorably , he even said it would only help him when actually he didn't need some of those trades , chilled went above and beyond to be as fair as possible , even was harming himself in the process , i miss when it was the derps who played or Adam at least they took it in good fun. Chilled for some reason has this reputation only because he wins if he took the yellows he wouldn't but got lucky and he deserved to be lucky. Even giving a deal to tom and refusing the same basic deal to chilled left a bad flavor in my mouth honestly. Thought so too, honestly through this game I've seen Larr as a bit of an ass really. His main motivator was that he didn't want to give anything to Chilled and to essentially not work with him. If he was going to be that way about it then he never should have agreed to play the game with Chilled to begin with. Watching this makes me miss when Galm and Smarty play along with him tbh.

See, if Larr has refused to give Chilled the money, he'd still have to give it to Matt, per the deal, and then Matt would have given the money back to Chilled. So in the end, it was just Larr being stupid and petty when it wouldn't have changed anything.

Only a few deals were really bad for them overall, and it was mostly the ones towards the end when the game was basically over already.
When Chilled mortgaged Tom's blues and then paid back Matt, I got a little annoyed. Fair didn't really seem fair when they jipped Chilled out of deals and conspired against him. I was really happy to see it go his own way. P.S. I know it's just a game.

larrs gets really salty when it comes to competition games, it can bee seen in any of the Funhaus vs Achievement hunter videos (tho youll notice it more from his ex-coworkers then himself). im not entirely sure if its an act he puts on or not, but its really frustrating to see him act this way. guess well see with the eventual mario kart video if he carrys the attitude over or not.
Damn, Larr sounds so whiney at the end, if he didn't like how the game was going, especially when it was really obvious that chilled was gonna win, he should have just bankrupted back to the back if he was gonna be that petty. I have never heard of someone being pissed that someone else was kept in the game when it was obvious that they werent gonna win. Lawrence is a member of the sub-channel Funhaus, which is a branch out of RoosterTeeth. And they are a sort of rival to RT's Achievement Hunter, but I would say they are more or less a AH off-branch that is located in Los Angeles. And I have to say the way he behaved this monopoly session was really bad, he didn't give fair deals toward Chilled (ok he didn't have to) but did towards Tom, the one he even was called out on by Chilled in part 2. And after he finally gave Chilled red monopoly for yellow monopoly, and Chilled was lucky by getting 3 people landing in succession after a very risky upgrade strategy, started saying that Chilled had plotted for that to happen for so to bitch and moan the rest of the game... So I can see why he didn't give a good impression of himself in this session. I'd say he reaped what he sowed in this game. Though I wouldn't call Chilled completely innocent in this game, that strategy him and Tom went for weren't very fair but their only option at the time. But in this part he could have upgraded to hotels a lot sooner imho.
The “rivalry” was a fan imposed thing and became a bit, which has long sense ended. Saying they are off-brand AH is a little disingenuous. They are unique with their own style and humor. As for Lawrence, this video/series is not indicative of his personality as a whole. I would recommend looking into old funhaus videos like their drunk streams or my summer car series. Lawdog also helped relaunch inside gaming news through RT. He has since gone out on his own and streams on twitch.

Lawful Evil can be best described as a Demon that offers its services, but forces you to sign a contract. It will follow the contract to the letter, but if you don't read the fine print, you may have signed away your immortal soul in the process.....in other words, exactly what the Chilled Chaos Consultancy Firm is built around! (at least in Monopoly). And just as some side examples for a clearer picture, Lawful Good would be like a holy knight, Chaotic Neutral/Evil is best symbolized by the Norse god Loki (both within the MCU and out), and Chaotic Good would be a freedom fighter opposing his corrupt government or some of those super heroes that go beyond the law and seek out and kill villains.

Even then, I'd say that Matt didn't really do anything wrong this game. Sure, he was heavily against Chilled getting a Monopoly but why wouldn't he be? He had his own monopoly and so long as Chilled and Tom never got one of their own (and by logic, Lars not getting one either) he'd have won rather easily, not much to be done about that. His immunity deals did nothing but screw him over, and he was trying to win the entire time but just had bad luck. Sure, a few mean things were said but oh well, Matt played it rather well and ethically. Now Lars on the other hand, you hit the nail on the head, Lars was playing for Chilled's Loss and not his own win. He refused practically every deal (even ones that he would make to any other player, and even attempted to refuse to honor a deal he made with another player because it involved Chilled) with Chilled just so he could ensure Chilled couldn't somehow win. He had the winning position easily but gave it up to greed. I think even Chilled acknowledged it in the end where it was just "I'm not even giving you 15 dollars so you don't die to jail" to Lars since Lars did nothing but try to screw Chilled at every turn, while even though Matt wasn't much friendlier, Chilled kept offering deals to help Matt survive a bit longer
@@raymondrennock534 matt was willing to trade with chilled, the reason hes getting a bad rap is because larr decided he wanted matt to win. making trades with matt he had previously denied chilled for, all the while making deals like the immunity, which chilled warned them about and even tried to stop. (can be seen around the time he convinces tom to buy the last few houses) While ive seen larrs in alot of the achievement hunter vs funhuas, i dont think ive ever seen him been this vocally salty. hope it not a common theme in his new solo career.

All the 'chilled is the villain' stuff is honestly hillarious. The first 2 episodes of this, Chilled played by the rulebook, unlike the people that offered 'immunity deals' and other shady stuff like that, which is not in the rulebook. Chilled is like that one loanshark that sells a reputation of honesty. He might fuck you over, but each and every one of the pitfalls that might do so will be outlined in the contract in unmistakeable language so you can't miss it.
Yeah, that was the ultimate "go f*** yourself" that he thoroughly deserved for being such an asshat the entire game. I laughed so hard at that part and was glad such a petty player got taken out in such a pathetic manner, eternal jail for being an eternal douch.
I just want to make a case for Matt (Myatt) here. He's lumped up with Larr the asshole but Matt is such a good dude. He's super chill and plays with honor. Just because the asshole was trying to give the win to Matt, don't let that sour your taste on him. Check him out with the AH crew and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I love the monopoly content, especially with people that are really good at the game. It's fun to watch chilled swindle unsuspecting people, but also fun to watch his swindles flop, and his sheer business has to win him the game.
Hot take: Chilled is definitely Lawful Neutral in monopoly, not Lawful Evil. He ultimately works for himself when worst comes to worst, but he follows the rules, acts with honor, and tries to be nice where it's not solely screwing himself over.
Keeping Matt in the game near the end was actually a smart idea. If he bankrupt to Larr, Larr gets stronger and has a better chance of beating Chilled. If Chilled keeps Matt around until he's the one that gets to kill him it'll be Chilled that gets the properties.
What I love most about this game was that Larr and Matt lost, because of the first deal. The immunity fucked both Matt and Larr hard that at the end, they were forced to rely on chilled in everything. They couldn't take money from each other, Tom was dead, and Chilled kept taking away their money. So that first Deal basically put Larr and Matt on Chilled's Mercy.
For the lawful evil discussion: a fantastic example of a lawful evil villain in modern media is Viren from the show The Dragon Prince on Netflix. I highly recommend it, both as just a show and a showcase of a properly written villain. Another popular lawful evil character is Walter White.
Thought was better ending for Larr then I could have thought up. True karma. Matt's and larr down falls were making trades trying to over extend. Matt and the pink trade at the end was his doom.

Chilled played a clean game he leveraged the fuck out of the immunity deal to build something and then he got lucky. The immunity deal kept the other 2 alive and prevented them combining and that rendered the $1200 that Myatt got on free parking irrelevant.

No it's just the oranges. And that's a statistical fact because of jail. 6 8 & 9 are all very likely rolls when leaving jail and since there's a lot of things that put people in jail it make those properties the ones that are always in the firing line for someone.
Chilleds like jackal and Hyde. With everyone he makes good deals and is a smooth talker. But as soon as that mute is hit he turns to fuck over everyone without remorse. After years and years on the channel I can say it never gets old.

I'd say chilled is more lawful neutral than lawful evil, he does what he can within the rules to benefit him however he can, he doesnt use the rules to ruin literally everything
Next game, immunity deals, blocking the last house intentionally and trading to someone else when you go bankrupt need to be banned. Also larr crying towards the end when Chilled trying to buy the yellows and him saying it was immoral like how chilled said trading everything when you die is super cheap... Those 2 things aren't comparable
It's cool to see good Monopoly strategy in action, especially since I hate playing the game with friends/family. The standard rules have fair(ish) exchanges with fair escalations. When players decide to house rule ore exchange immunity like:a pass on blues for a pass on orange, the "value" of that trade changes so dramatically every turn. So one minute your're on top of the world for not having to pay $20 every once in a while but at the end of the game you might have screwed yourself out of $2000 (and the opposite is equally as possible). Personal take away, you could do away with a short term problem for permanent instability or sink the costs and plan with known quantities. Obviously not a hard and fast rule but good to keep in mind, at least when there isn't a Smarty. Then you just bow down to the lord of Chaos and accept your fate.
I’ve been thinking about how you can trade when having to pay off a debt that can bankrupt you. Yes it can be used to be a jerk and choose who wins, but I think it is there for a logical reason. The reason being that you can get someone to give you enough money if you have a card they want and don’t want you to give it to the person bankrupting you, so they would take your card and you can keep playing.
The way it works in the tabletop version (or the way it's *supposed* to work) is that if you're trading, you must be able to actually pay off your debt when the trade (or trades) are concluded. If you can't do that, you're breaking the rules by trading at all.
Imagine if Matt had taken the deal with Chilled about 250$ and free up houses for the Blue... That way Larr could have sold his hotel to get out of prison..... so in essence... it's Matt's fault that Larr had to bankrupt but not Chillds.

I realized something recently when playing in that there is a way to exploit the system to get infinite money and chilled had it set up in this game. Basically it comes down to the last house auction at 8 minutes. He only paid 63 dollars and the mortgage price is 75, so he could get a net gain of 12 bucks, then just do the auction over and over. Sure it would be slow, but it would ensure his victory befiore anyone died, and he didn't, so to conclude, chilled wasn't a villain

I'd honestly say Chilled didn't make any shady deals in this game, he just got crazy lucky the moment he had the red monopoly. Everyone landing on his property in a row gave him an insane amount of momentum. Also, Larr got hit by karma hard here. I don't know what he was going on about how he shouldn't have to give Chilled the money back that Chilled gave Matt so he could honor the immunity deal, and him bankrupting to the jail fee was fair.
Lawrence wasn't ever trying to win the game for himself he was just trying to gift it to Matt, chilled in the beginning tried to give Lawrence a very fair deal that got them both Monopoly and Lawrence didn't want to do it instead he would have rather kept no none of them having a monopoly but Matt and basically gifting the game the Matt

I feel bad for Tom. His loss seemed to mostly be down to really bad luck. I also respect how he accepted his loss far more than Larr and Matt. It's one thing to try and keep Chilled from running away with things if he has been in the lead the whole game, but to continuously try and keep him down with horrible excuses, and then get so salty when he starts to come back. I wouldn't mind seeing them play again, I always enjoy watching a monopoly session, but holy shit I hope they take a good hard look at their behavior. The other problem is that since they always play these while streaming, the people in their chats always egg them on and encourage them to be massive assholes.

Lawrence made this game so frustrating to watch. He claimed Chilled was the villain immediately after trying to steal his money because Chilled stepped in to make sure a deal he made continued as he intended. So annoying to see people play like this and have new guests constantly paint Chilled as some devious backstabber every time.

Wow, Lawrence really ramped up the negative behavior at the end there. He was losing, and started lashing out at chilled personally. Accusing CHILLED of being the unethical one, purely because Chilled was winning. This kind of thinking plagues a lot of modern day thinking, that the person in the lead must have gotten there by stepping on the people who aren't in the lead. Even in monopoly, a game that's built to BE that, it isn't necessarily true. Chilled didn't win because he was treating his opponents unethically, he was more than fair, and in fact went above and beyond to give his opponents a chance at coming back. But in comes Lawrence with the "He's dragging out the game to play with his food..." and other malicious remarks to try and lambast Chilled as a sleazebag. That's not something friends should be doing to each other. And that quote itself was only the beginning of an ever increasing assault against Chilled's character. The whole bit about Chilled helping them maintain their immunity deals, and Lawrence saying that he would keep the money next time... I'm not even sure where to begin there. One, Lawrence wouldn't be able to keep the money. In that immunity deal, Lawrence would have to give that money back to Matt, and then Matt would return it to Chilled. They were just cutting out the middle man with Larr giving it to Chilled. Also, what a dick thing to say. "I'm not part of your deal..." Blah blah blah. Chilled wasn't part of the immunity deal, but he stepped in to help those two maintain it, since neither could pay it. How did Lawrence expect to be able to uphold the deal if neither he nor Matt could pay for the rent? (It's almost like immunity deals are stupid and unethical... Mmmmm…)
Lawrence's behavior is the kind of thing that, in the moment, one might not realize is bad. But, when reflecting, they notice just how much of a dick they were. I've done it, where I say something, then later reread what I said, and I regret it. I hope Lawrence sees that what he was doing was not acceptable, and that he was being a sore loser. I love you Chilled, and you didn't deserve nearly any of what happened, or what was said.

If anything, Larr and Mat's immunity deals strechted out the game. They kept themselves alive, which made them bleed more to chilled. They were willing to go so far that Chilled literally had to bail them out by giving them money to uphold their 'deal'.

This was nice to watch. This was the most fair monopoly game Chilled has played and it's nice he got rewarded for it. Matt and Larr screwed themselves to the point where they weren't even making sense trying to accuse Chilled of something by the end. Their immunity deals and inactiveness in trade deals caused their loss.

Why not take Chilled's deal at the end. Think it was to sell boardwalk for some cash to put houses down. Might as well. Absolutely nothing to lose, because you're guaranteed to lose in the current state. From the rolls of the dice, looks like Matt loses either way I suppose.
Chilled definitely hit a lot of luck, but he played the game well to make sure he was in a position to even be lucky. The moment he got the monopoly, he went all-in with houses. Could have easily backfired, but it was his only play as far as I could tell.
Matt & Larr kept claiming Chilled played them, but I don't even see how that could be true. Chilled was bending over backwards to make deals happen. Honestly, it seems Larr should have been the clear favorite at one point in the early game. But he played way too conservative despite practically drowning in so many potential monopolies. Took too long to make the key moves.
That's the key difference between Chiled and Lars. Lars had all the properties to make anything he wanted but refused to make any deal that wouldn't immediately benefit him in the short term and be great for him in the long term. He got greedy despite having more than enough and wanted more.
Chilled had a really bad hand, he couldn't do anything but deal with someone who wanted to milk him dry for any deal. Chilled bent over backwards and did everything he could to put himself in a position to win, he analyzed every position and took a loss early so he benefit later, he used everything he could to survive and thrive, including the House Deal with Tom.
Chilled is a perfect example of an underdog story of him coming back from what was essentially second worst position behind Tom to pull out a victory (with no small amount of luck from his own houses) while Lars was just a fall from grace story where he started with practically a perfect hand but lost it all due to his own mistakes and greed
I agree with that he def shouldve taken the boardwalk trade but at that point i think it mightve been about pride at that point instead of risk
Chilled was basically a fire at that point and he just didnt want to feed it
i'd say chilled played more than honorably , he even said it would only help him when actually he didn't need some of those trades , chilled went above and beyond to be as fair as possible , even was harming himself in the process , i miss when it was the derps who played or Adam at least they took it in good fun. Chilled for some reason has this reputation only because he wins if he took the yellows he wouldn't but got lucky and he deserved to be lucky. Even giving a deal to tom and refusing the same basic deal to chilled left a bad flavor in my mouth honestly. When Chilled mortgaged Tom's blues and then paid back Matt, I got a little annoyed. Fair didn't really seem fair when they jipped Chilled out of deals and conspired against him. I was really happy to see it go his own way.

larrs gets really salty when it comes to competition games, it can bee seen in any of the Funhaus vs Achievement hunter videos (tho youll notice it more from his ex-coworkers then himself). im not entirely sure if its an act he puts on or not, but its really frustrating to see him act this way. guess well see with the eventual mario kart video if he carrys the attitude over or not.

Damn, Larr sounds so whiney at the end, if he didn't like how the game was going, especially when it was really obvious that chilled was gonna win, he should have just bankrupted back to the back if he was gonna be that petty. I have never heard of someone being pissed that someone else was kept in the game when it was obvious that they werent gonna win. I don't know where larr came from but I don't think I like him that much.
Lawrence is a member of the sub-channel Funhaus, which is a branch out of RoosterTeeth. And they are a sort of rival to RT's Achievement Hunter, but I would say they are more or less a AH off-branch that is located in Los Angeles.
And I have to say the way he behaved this monopoly session was really bad, he didn't give fair deals toward Chilled (ok he didn't have to) but did towards Tom, the one he even was called out on by Chilled in part 2. And after he finally gave Chilled red monopoly for yellow monopoly, and Chilled was lucky by getting 3 people landing in succession after a very risky upgrade strategy, started saying that Chilled had plotted for that to happen for so to bitch and moan the rest of the game... So I can see why he didn't give a good impression of himself in this session. I'd say he reaped what he sowed in this game.
Though I wouldn't call Chilled completely innocent in this game, that strategy him and Tom went for weren't very fair but their only option at the time. But in this part he could have upgraded to hotels a lot sooner imho.
The “rivalry” was a fan imposed thing and became a bit, which has long sense ended. Saying they are off-brand AH is a little disingenuous. They are unique with their own style and humor. As for Lawrence, this video/series is not indicative of his personality as a whole. I would recommend looking into old funhaus videos like their drunk streams or my summer car series.

Lawful Evil is a placement on the DnD alignment chart that all characters are placed. The chart is divided among 9 cubes separated between Good - Neutral - Evil and Lawful - Neutral - Chaotic. Good/Evil is pretty self-explanatory, but Lawful/Chaotic typically depends on if you follow some sort of code, be it your own or what someone else has created (like the law of the land or religion). Lawful Evil can be best described as a Demon that offers its services, but forces you to sign a contract. It will follow the contract to the letter, but if you don't read the fine print, you may have signed away your immortal soul in the process.....in other words, exactly what the Chilled Chaos Consultancy Firm is built around! (at least in Monopoly).
And just as some side examples for a clearer picture, Lawful Good would be like a holy knight, Chaotic Neutral/Evil is best symbolized by the Norse god Loki (both within the MCU and out), and Chaotic Good would be a freedom fighter opposing his corrupt government or some of those super heroes that go beyond the law and seek out and kill villains.
Lawful good can be any law-abiding citizen so like a farmer or teacher, not just police or knight

I couldn’t help but laugh at chilled not helping Lawrence from the jail bankruptcy after he had talked about not giving chilled back the 450.
The thing is that Chilled actually knows how to play this game right, that means he's dangerous, people don't understand how he wins, just that they traded with him, and therefore to them it *must* be back stabbing treachery.

The reason why the comments have such a sour opinion on Matt and Lawrence is because Lawrence was not playing to win he was playing to make chilled lose and that just makes it not fun
Even then, I'd say that Matt didn't really do anything wrong this game. Sure, he was heavily against Chilled getting a Monopoly but why wouldn't he be? He had his own monopoly and so long as Chilled and Tom never got one of their own (and by logic, Lars not getting one either) he'd have won rather easily, not much to be done about that. His immunity deals did nothing but screw him over, and he was trying to win the entire time but just had bad luck. Sure, a few mean things were said but oh well, Matt played it rather well and ethically.
Now Lars on the other hand, you hit the nail on the head, Lars was playing for Chilled's Loss and not his own win. He refused practically every deal (even ones that he would make to any other player, and even attempted to refuse to honor a deal he made with another player because it involved Chilled) with Chilled just so he could ensure Chilled couldn't somehow win. He had the winning position easily but gave it up to greed.
I think even Chilled acknowledged it in the end where it was just "I'm not even giving you 15 dollars so you don't die to jail" to Lars since Lars did nothing but try to screw Chilled at every turn, while even though Matt wasn't much friendlier, Chilled kept offering deals to help Matt survive a bit longer
@@raymondrennock534 matt was willing to trade with chilled, the reason hes getting a bad rap is because larr decided he wanted matt to win. making trades with matt he had previously denied chilled for, all the while making deals like the immunity, which chilled warned them about and even tried to stop. (can be seen around the time he convinces tom to buy the last few houses)
While ive seen larrs in alot of the achievement hunter vs funhuas, i dont think ive ever seen him been this vocally salty. hope it not a common theme in his new solo career.

All the 'chilled is the villain' stuff is honestly hillarious. The first 2 episodes of this, Chilled played by the rulebook, unlike the people that offered 'immunity deals' and other shady stuff like that, which is not in the rulebook.
Chilled is like that one loanshark that sells a reputation of honesty. He might fuck you over, but each and every one of the pitfalls that might do so will be outlined in the contract in unmistakeable language so you can't miss it.
This is the first time watching these ive never wanted to see someone come back for another game :/

I just want to make a case for Matt (Myatt) here. He's lumped up with Larr the asshole but Matt is such a good dude. He's super chill and plays with honor. Just because the asshole was trying to give the win to Matt, don't let that sour your taste on him. Check him out with the AH crew and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I love the monopoly content, especially with people that are really good at the game. It's fun to watch chilled swindle unsuspecting people, but also fun to watch his swindles flop, and his sheer business has to win him the game.
Hot take: Chilled is definitely Lawful Neutral in monopoly, not Lawful Evil. He ultimately works for himself when worst comes to worst, but he follows the rules, acts with honor, and tries to be nice where it's not solely screwing himself over.
Keeping Matt in the game near the end was actually a smart idea.
If he bankrupt to Larr, Larr gets stronger and has a better chance of beating Chilled.
If Chilled keeps Matt around until he's the one that gets to kill him it'll be Chilled that gets the properties.

What I love most about this game was that Larr and Matt lost, because of the first deal. The immunity fucked both Matt and Larr hard that at the end, they were forced to rely on chilled in everything. They couldn't take money from each other, Tom was dead, and Chilled kept taking away their money. So that first Deal basically put Larr and Matt on Chilled's Mercy.

For the lawful evil discussion: a fantastic example of a lawful evil villain in modern media is Viren from the show The Dragon Prince on Netflix. I highly recommend it, both as just a show and a showcase of a properly written villain.

Chilled played a clean game he leveraged the fuck out of the immunity deal to build something and then he got lucky. The immunity deal kept the other 2 alive and prevented them combining and that rendered the $1200 that Myatt got on free parking irrelevant.

And that's a statistical fact because of jail. 6 8 & 9 are all very likely rolls when leaving jail and since there's a lot of things that put people in jail it make those properties the ones that are always in the firing line for someone.
Chilleds like jackal and Hyde. With everyone he makes good deals and is a smooth talker. But as soon as that mute is hit he turns to fuck over everyone without remorse. After years and years on the channel I can say it never gets old.

Also larr crying towards the end when Chilled trying to buy the yellows and him saying it was immoral like how chilled said trading everything when you die is super cheap... It's cool to see good Monopoly strategy in action, especially since I hate playing the game with friends/family. The standard rules have fair(ish) exchanges with fair escalations. When players decide to house rule ore exchange immunity like:a pass on blues for a pass on orange, the "value" of that trade changes so dramatically every turn. So one minute your're on top of the world for not having to pay $20 every once in a while but at the end of the game you might have screwed yourself out of $2000 (and the opposite is equally as possible). Personal take away, you could do away with a short term problem for permanent instability or sink the costs and plan with known quantities. Obviously not a hard and fast rule but good to keep in mind, at least when there isn't a Smarty. Then you just bow down to the lord of Chaos and accept your fate.
I’ve been thinking about how you can trade when having to pay off a debt that can bankrupt you. Yes it can be used to be a jerk and choose who wins, but I think it is there for a logical reason. The reason being that you can get someone to give you enough money if you have a card they want and don’t want you to give it to the person bankrupting you, so they would take your card and you can keep playing.
The way it works in the tabletop version (or the way it's *supposed* to work) is that if you're trading, you must be able to actually pay off your debt when the trade (or trades) are concluded. If you can't do that, you're breaking the rules by trading at all.
Imagine if Matt had taken the deal with Chilled about 250$ and free up houses for the Blue... That way Larr could have sold his hotel to get out of prison..... so in essence... it's Matt's fault that Larr had to bankrupt but not Chillds.

I realized something recently when playing in that there is a way to exploit the system to get infinite money and chilled had it set up in this game. Basically it comes down to the last house auction at 8 minutes. He only paid 63 dollars and the mortgage price is 75, so he could get a net gain of 12 bucks, then just do the auction over and over.
Sure it would be slow, but it would ensure his victory befiore anyone died, and he didn't, so to conclude, chilled wasn't a villain
