Welcome to Monopoly Plus
It's the Monopoly game we all grew up with as a kid...only this time its in 3D and the salt is even higher!
The game is broken and Ubisoft refuses to fix it. So we are playing "locally" via steam remote play. So when it crashes (And it will) we can load the save back up and not lose all of our progress

Honestly my favorite thing about Monopoly is not just that Chilled wins, it's that he wins with pretty much everyone against him.
You mean after getting baled out/ swindling his naive adversaries
The problem was people aren't United until something shrimp happened...
The problem is the everyone starts out against him, then one person gets desperate and chilled has just enough leverage to make reeeally good deal for himself. They put themselves in a prisoner's dilemma.

The percentage deals really saved the game, smarty really left the board lopsided while screwing himself and chilled had to really innovate to stay in the game, but at the end of the day we all return to dommy mommy

I'm really glad that this half was a lot less serious. Chilled seemed much happier being able to just play and not having everyone trying to criticize every deal and comment. This is definitely an interesting and fun group I'd be excited to see more of, Monopoly or otherwise.
They criticize the s out of him. Watch the stream it's better
I feel bad when they criticise all of his deals and try to band together against him, but I also understand their side of "we always get screwed by Chilled in the end so we need to suppress him". It is a bit of a shitty way to play though as it isn't very fun for Chilled (or doesn't seem like it).
This second part was definitely more fun, with everyone laughing and joking, especially thanks to the investing in monopolies strategy. It was such a stupid and fun thing to watch as everyone tried to bargain using percentage dues from property payments 😂😂
Yeah 1st half was slightly frustrating and not to entirely fun to watch cause of that.
I don't like the thinking "we should gang up on said person because they're good at X" i find it sucks the fun out of things.
@@DyingDarkStar The only realm in which I could potentially find enjoyment in that setup is if, at the very beginning of the game, they announced that it was Chilled vs everyone, similar to how Tony Coalition vs Steven Squared was clearly defined at the beginning of co-opoly.

Fun Fact: During the Project Winter stream 7 days ago, Chilled said that Smarty was either going to end up in first place or last place. That he would not go anywhere inbetween. Because that is TehSmarty way.
I believe I've seen this description applied to Chilled himself, but it equally applies to Smarty: if he were in D&D, he'd only ever roll 20's or 1's.

Well there is the lucky feat and the rogue's capstone ability is to make any ability check be treated as a 20 once per short or long rest

Amber had a serious chance of winning if she'd just placed houses early on. Her monopoly didn't have a chance to hurt anyone.
Not to mention I think that Cruz also had a really good chance towards the end. I think with the way the rolls went, if she kept everything, she'd bankrupt Amber and have two monopolies with a chance for a third and a ton of money. She'd have a solid chance.
Same for Smarty, he had so much property, and even after he gave it up for nothing, he could've gotten the Railroads so much cheaper and had so much more profit, easily could've taken over the board with money early and bought people out

@@DyingDarkStar Fair. It's amazing how much of a good position he was in, he could've gotten so many good potential deals but instead heavily underestimated what he was worth. If Chilled was in his position at that point, I'd wager that Chilled would've won maybe an hour and a half earlier, if not sooner
@@raymondrennock534 Tbh in the first part Smarty was the lucky one getting good properties and money ,then he made terrible deals to throw away that position to Amber . Amber got so lucky landing on the last pink and free-parking for almost a grand ,just to do nothing with it .
On the other hand , Chilled was unlucky as hell keep getting bad cards and not having a lot , but the business major found a way to gain all three oranges by not even landing on one of them .
That is what make Chilled special , he won’t give up even in shitty situation ,even if all of them are against him cause of his reputation ,
he will always come up with something new to win and surprise his fans.
Yeah monopoly is a fun game to watch but what I think makes Chilled's games so great is just how creative Chilled manages to get as he's backed into a corner. He had nothing 2 oranges and not a lot of money and no one willing to trade and he turns it into 60% of a monopoly, barely anything but so much more than it could have been
i mean, to be fair, it was also because both Amber and Kruz wanted chaos on the board. Chilled definitely takes Monopoly more seriously than the rest of them, but it may be just his econ part of the brain working. After all, he did get a degree in business.
@@kyre4189 Chilled has legitimately thrown away free wins in other games just to make sure everyone had a shot to win and a reason to keep playing, it's hard to argue he takes it more seriously than anyone else
@@zenonzazira He's thinking through his deals more carefully than the rest, and he's planning longtime meanwhile the rest of them are just winging it. It's hard NOT TO think he's more serious than the rest, considering he has like 95% win rate.

I love the unconventional way this was played out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen deal like these at it’s so fascinating to see it play out.
Watch other Chilled Monopoly games. He's big into unconventional deals like fractional ownership, immunity, etc.

@@outis_406 Of course she could've won. Before the 3rd green was taken she could've gotten aphex to go get the greens for her and trade monopoly for monopoly or even when amber was offering yellows for payment but no she wanted fun and chaos and it was beautiful
I'm a big fan of this group. I feel like if they were weened off the "Chilled is the antichrist" boat and with practice they could become competitive with him
I think part of that is chilled is pretty good at the game, and also one of chilled's biggest practices when he trades is to also cripple them financially so they cant hurt him. Which makes them a little more hesitant to trade in the first place.
@David King That was what actually happened before , at first when Chilled played with the OG derp crew ,Galm and Ze tried to use the same tactics by not trading with him ,and in the end it fuck over themselves more than anything.
So eventually they learned , they learned to trade with Chilled so they can be ahead , there’s some games where both Galm and Ze had very good result by working with Chilled , somehow Chilled always luck out when they were in a close battle tho , but the truth is you are not getting a fair fight if you don’t make a good trade with Chilled, and they know it.
Smarty on the other hand never learn , he still treats Chilled like the villain and isn’t capable of analyzing the values, that’s why every times he won was because of seer dumb luck.
@@VLK_Static That and the fact he seemingly defaulted to that “buying out the houses” tactic he used for the last two or three games. The same tactic Hutch got called out for using because “it wasn’t making the game fun to play anymore”...
Every time people play with Chilled, they try to gang up on him, but that just makes them lose. If you want a chance to beat chilled, accept his generous offers lol. Especially when he offers a monopoly for monopoly (Like that one game, but no one wanted to do it because Chilled would have 2 monopolies, then they all lost because none of them had monopolies).
I mean they talk about ganging up on him but apart from being hesitant to trade with him, they dont really do much ganging up. considering he had stakes in his stuff and big money deals still made.
At around 49:50 they didnt gang up on him, like at all. That bankrupcy was rightfully for that Cheesy guy but chilled couldnt help himself to go againt the spirit of the game. Sure she couldve survived with just ten dollars to her name but she had been de facto bankrupted.
@@michaelthijs6813 not really, Amber would have had enough money off of the mortgages to survive. After selling her houses, she had $101. Her pink properties mortgaged would have added up to an extra $220. Thus, she would have survived because she only need to pay $300 in total. Her making those trades were just her making an investment. So Chilled really didn’t do anything wrong because Amber would have still been in the game.

I like how Kruz evolved from the last monopoly game from making bad calls to now being the shadow puppet master in making under the table deals. Honestly such an interesting "not-following-the-official-rules" gameplay

I actually liked this one. Instead of players being dumb and making bad deals with Chilled, they really played the best they could (except the part where they didn't grab all the houses as soon as they could). And Chilled really scrambled to win this one.
This session of Monopoly is probably my favorite. You have: Chilled the underdog, “Dommy Mommy Kruz” the devil, Smarty being not smart, and Aphex and Amber playing with their “Dollary Dunker-Roos.” No salt. All fun.

I'm really glad he won after being stonewalled so hard. It was hard to watch his friends assume he was swindling people just because they don't understand good business deals but he outsmarted them all.
I mean some of the deals were pretty good, but chilled also likes to kneecap people on his deals too. Where he will try to take enough money when they want something so they cant then hurt him. Sometimes that works or not, but it does make people hesitant.
Oh, OH! Kruz is awesome, very Chilled-esque. We definitely need more of her for more future monopoly games, Chilled!

From having to beg to "Dommy Mommy" Kruz, fighting for 5th place with morgaged properties, and watching Chilled ruin his Communism was too funny.
Cheesy should work with Chilled in the beginning before Kruz involved tho , he would be in a better position and doesn’t have to deal with the 40-50% bs ,that’s his downfall. Of course he was unlucky to land on the monopoly first , but he could deal his way out of it before putting all the eggs in one basket.
@@Leo-nc3yx Cheesy shouldn't have paid 700 for that monopoly really as he had to deal with both the pinks and oranges. He only got 5th place due to Smarty's addiction to the railroads (which either lands him a win, or makes him the 1st to bankrupt)
Amber also messed up as she should have built more houses early.
Then on one turn as she unmorgaged her yellows and then rolled with high chances to land on the oranges. Causing her to pay more and lose her houses.

And thus the beginning of Chilled domination! That aside, I feel like most of Chilled's friends are just too afraid to accept his offers that involves huge cash. Sometimes they have to understand the benefit it gives them than the cash they give back. John really got screwed by the railroads in general since he was scared to give Chilled money without realizing that John doesn't really need money at that time thus making it useless.
Actually I wouldn't mind Kruz winning this game of monopoly with her under the table tactics. That was so refreshing to see someone just as chaotic as Chilled is
exactly, there was barely any houses on the board and john was betting on the railroads, there was no reason to hang onto his money so desperately
This monopoly group is so much fun! The balance of folks who know what a good deal is vs the absolute fuckery of messy deals like cheesy begging for the other brown for 6 rounds in a row is just SO refreshing

I love Kruz finding out about the percentage types of deals that Chilled makes, and IMMEDIATELY trying to factor it into her deal with Cheesy after. The deals this session are so chaotic and interesting. Way better than last time. I love it. 😆

Hell, if Smarty just stuck to his guns and bought the last station early on he would have been in so much better a situation.
It's almost like playing to win with mutually beneficial deals is much more reliable than playing for someone else to loose. The way you made your own rules with Kruz was an amazing play.
I mean, to be fair, it was a risky deal regardless since John can't kill people with the railroads, so even if he bought it earlier, things wouldn't have changed too much to let him win since he had no monopoly.
@@joshuagroom7068 It was also completely random that people hit it so much. Couple that with chilled trying to take most of his then money. might have left him unable to pay the first bigger place he landed on. So he was hesitant. But that is the risk really.
It's just crazy to me because John was willing to pay 500 for just the second railroad, gave a yellow and a pink property for the third, then on the railroad that would give him 200 everytime, he becomes hesitant

Winning from smarty is easy. All he wants is boardwalk park place and the railroads, it's the only way he wins. So if you hold one of these cards and never trade it you'll win by default. Boardwalk and parkplace need the cash that is easiest earned by the railroads, if he has only three he'll need double the time to pay. If he only has one of boardwalk and parkplace he won't be able to bankrupt people as much
In my opinion, percentage investments > immunities. Also, very happy to see that the whole trading away everything to someone else when bankrupted is finally being stopped.
Yeah it was such bs and unfair (which while Chilled is merciless in trading, he's always fair in offering what he feels is somewhat equal value)
I was really hoping that last light blue was gonna go unowned for the entire game
I love the percentage deals. It's semi-realistic and I love how basically business orientated Chilled acted in this game. It's funny how, once Chilled open the market with this idea, everyone else jumped onto the idea. Also with Cheesy basically rising for a few turns and falling into bankruptcy, it's a view of what can happen elsewhere.
As a side note though, Smarty either has the luck of the devil. He had some good turns but then, the moment things took a turn for the worst, he can't adapt fast enough to keep up with everyone. He's not a bad player, just a very narrow minded Monopoly player.
the best part about watching these is chilled barely gets frustrated any more when people (john) refuse to trade with him because he
A) enjoys the game too much and
B) knows he'll win in the end anyway

I get chilled wins alot, but seriously he isn't the only player on the board and every one always says not to deal with him every time, and with all the Focus on not letting him win they all can't focus on winning themselves

@@windflier1684 which he only made because the others stonewalled him. If they had accepted some of his earlier deals, they would've been in a good position and might've even won later on. Heck, Chilled might've lost. They really underestimate the oranges and browns, they really showed their worth this time around
The percentage/rent free deals with other players that Chilled has introduced to his various Monopoly sessions, are my favourite player created mechanic for this game. They add so much more chaos to things, and therefore even more entertainment to these kinds of sessions. I love it. 😆

Madison/Kruz, seems like such a fun addition to Chilled's streams. I really hope Chilled will play with her some more
This group was great, really enjoyed them. Smarty is always funny, apex and cheesey always make for good games and fun times, and kruz was a pretty perfect for chilled chaotic playstyle while finding her own twists on chills smart ideas to get them outta the hole.

Watching this is hilarious because me and my brothers used to do the exact same thing when we were younger, and pull out percentages while playing monopoly together. Seeing it manifested like this is amazing

Chilled is like the villain who wins by granting a small gift to the hero, waiting for them to gain and gain until the last moment of their triumph, he steals back the gift and everything earned from it.
The Chilled Chaos Consultancy Firm is truly the firm of all evils.
Honestly I think if Chilled came up with explicit rules for these percentage deals, it would be way more interesting than a normal game and probably more balanced. No one ran away with this game for a long time. Also, you'd think one of his opponents would learn that the best way to beat Chilled is to accept his early deals and set themselves up, rather than fighting him and pushing him into murder mode
I do think they should ban the immunity trades and this percentage stuff in the future , not just because it will be unfair to other players,but because it prolong the game to a certain degree that they had to argue and remember who to pay who ,and it just get worse if all of them are doing it .
@@Leo-nc3yx Well if you set clear rules for it and a system for tracking it, there wouldn't have to be arguments or confusion. And I don't think it's unfair at all. Chilled and Kruz stood no chance and we're about to be eliminated. But because of their deal, they were able to use the pieces they had to eliminate everyone else. I think this is one of the most fair games Chilled has had.
@@mlgnerd13 Yeah ,I absolutely agree that Chilled had to make some bald moves in order to win the game ,anyway it was justified because the others are trying to gang up on him .
But what I am saying is that once they all try to mimic Chilled's strats ,it just become redundant and kill the fun in the long run ,also it prolong the game as I said since every time some one land on a property they need to trade back the money ,and it become more complicated with 6 players or more if they are all trying to do the same thing with one another ,I don't always want to watch a 3 hours monopoly ,it could be fun one time or two tho .
If you actually remember when the first time Hutch used the holding house tactic Chilled was very against it ,however he tried to do that for one or two and realized it kill the fun for other players so he stop doing that .
Same go with the "immunity deals" where Matt and the other achievement hunter invented ,Chilled also didn't like it at the start but had to try to fight fire with fire by using the same tactic .
The thing is Chilled always try to win with the basic trading at first ,but people tend to cuckblock him in trades and what not ,and some other players used some meta gaming strats against him , that's when he decided to stop playing nice and go balls deep . This man didn't get a business major for nothing and he plays monopoly to win , so that's the result we see right now .
I would like to play monopoly with all of the players being capable and know what they are doing ,and don't gang up on one player just to spite him/her ,Chilled feels the same way too. If they are all more reasonable players and don't treat him like a villain then none of this will happen ,sticking to the in game trades and not meta is probably the better way to play this game .
@@Leo-nc3yx I agree that it sucks that Chilled is always seen as the villain when he's just trying to play fair and win. But my point is that this game was really even for a long time, which is a good thing imo. Sure the game was a little long, but 3 and a half hours is pretty short for a Monopoly game. I think that using this investment strategy made this game more fair, and if it were improved upon it could be really cool

I only caught the last hour and a half or so live. I came in to Dommy Mommy. Catching the rest is fantastic.
on the one hand they really went after chilled in the first half. to the point of it being almost a little unfair.
then he managed to scrape together a deal and he just carried kruz to the end and just steamrolled everybody else

Chilled is the Mr. House of Monopoly
A lot better than the previous monopoly games. The old crew was great but the gang mentality about always "don't trade with Chilled" or never trading him on purpose thinking they are always getting fucked got really old and annoying. Glad Chilled won, he deserved it for creativity.
it’s a shame that to this day, every single monopoly game still involves chilled being stonewalled and backed into a corner
