You can add much more pop to your botanical paintings & still life it you start adding complimentary colors. This prevents your art from being too green. The old masters would add violets and oranges into the greens, and sometimes yellows and pinks. It will make your art pop.
Cant believe peoples comments. I know you're an accomplished Artist, and when you say you are practicing something new, that is exactly what you are doing. I love and have been inspired by your work. And your generosity in sharing your skills. Watercolour painting is a challenge. So thank you.
This is an invaluable lesson on no matter how talented and accomplished someone is (as you clearly are) each day brings something new to experience. Should you approach it, see it, experience it as though you’d already done so many days and years before? No! Approach it as though it’s something brand new to your world, and you start from the very beginning of everything you’ve learned and begin developing it again from a fresh start. Each time it’s a fresh start. If you can’t see the world with fresh eyes, how can you depict that in a painting without it looking dull and lifeless? This was incredibly generous of you to share with us exactly this. I’ve seen so many of your video’s and yet this may very well be my favorite. Thank you.
As a fellow artist, I can see how the 3-day practice changed your life! When you master a new genre, it’s very exhilirating. Botanical subjects are not easy. I think they are harder than portraits. Good for you. Painting is a gift from God.
Love your style. I also paint on my balcony every morning after i walk my dog. It's my favorite time of day. My view is of a natural spring fed pond w/many birds and ducks that serenade me while i paint. Namaste.
very beautiful; I enjoyed just watching your progress from day 1 to day 3, and you inspired me to just paint my houseplants, keeping it simple and small, and painting for the enjoyment as well as the learning. Thank you!
I don't know how you do it, but every time I watch a video of yours I feel instantly such a peace in me, like if I can stop worrying and enjoy something beautiful. And your work it is actually beautiful. I'm quite surprised by the fact that plants are a relatively new subject for you because you're very good at painting them
Life is an experiment. I applaud you for taking, not just the road less traveled, but venturing into these experiences to derive knowledge and wisdom that is freshly squeezed from your "practice". We should all be so liberated so as to express our creativity and grow accordingly.
Beautiful!!! When I first subscribed to your channel, you had about 40K subscribers. I just noticed you now have over 100K. Congratulations!!! I'm glad so many people are enjoying your gorgeous art!
Absolutely, love this practice. To me it is like a meditation. I will start doing this as a warm up every day and watch for new expression in my work. Thank you for sharing. Watching you do this has changed my life for sure.
I caught part of this video this morning...lost it, so I looked for over an hour and found you again...and subscribed. I feel for the first time I understand...the beginning of understanding....watercolor!! So happy to meet you....
Thank you for sharing your process. I just did a workshop where the artist introduced this approach, observing and repeating until you like it and to enjoy. I’m beginning to understand.
Very nice! Enjoyed your warm and cool colours, contrasts of brushstrokes, details and fluidity at the begining of the painting. God bless you! Regards from Ukraine.
God bless you and all of you in Ukraine. God please keep all hurt by war in this region close to your heart. Our prayers are with you. So pleased you can access art and beauty at this time. Love Bernadette
I love your paintings ... how did this exercise change your life? I might of missed that explanation. Do you mean by practicing or was there something specific with these paintings?
Very, very good to see your process and progress. Thank you. I also learned that I could set my pochade on a table and not have to put the legs out every time. 😊
@@NitinSinghwatercolorpaintingsIM at a loss. How did painting the house plant change your life? May e I'll give it a whirl and get back to you. Thanks for all your instruction it's very helpful!
Selamat pagi kawan ...senang menemukan chanel anda ini...dapat melihat proses karya cat air yang matang.. dengan hasil yang sangat indah...trimakasih telah berbagi 👍❤️
Thank you for not speaking. This allowed me to observe what you did and changed on my own. It trains my observation skills and creates lasting "aha"-moments. The best teachers are those who show us how to boldly "just do it" without fear of making mistakes. It was exciting when you tried your "bold strokes" (my biggest fear 😅 now I will try it too!). Thank you for this inspiration!
Thank you for sharing your simple & beautiful process. It inspires me to explore. And, by the way, the choice of music is lovely too. Eliminates stress.
Beautiful. Nice to find someone who is in India and using Camlin products. I am in UK but spend a lot of time in Kerala. I find the rain and humidity buckle paper and make my pan watercolours permanently sticky! I find tubes better there. Guess you are in North India? You are correct - it’s all about doing the regular practice and finding joy in the process. I loved your video and learned a lot from watching. Very calming 🙏🏽💚
Always a joy to watch someone who understands both art in general and watercolor in specific figure out a new subject. Shapes, values, and edges are exquisite 😊
Hi there, I was attracted to start the video because it said you changed your life. Could you explain how so? The paintings are beautiful, but it really looks like a warm up.
Well… the process you see in this plant painting is my real attempt to paint plants in watercolor, I never painted plants before. Similarly, when I started painting cityscapes I was doing the same thing, I was keep repeating the same subject until i got the result I visualised, this particular behaviour given me lot of learning that was super exciting
I agree that the title is exaggerated and somewhat misleading. But it was fascinating to watch someone who is accomplished in painting watercolour cityscapes then tackle another subject that he felt he didn't know. I thought that once you can handle the medium, you can paint any subject. He didn't give up after the first painting and say "well, I'm not very good at this so I'll give up altogether and go back to my cityscapes". He kept practicing! And then he broke it down into a smaller segment and practiced that. And then he kept going until he could put all the parts together. So now when I feel I'm not very good at drawing/painting something I will think of this video and plod through more practice. Thank you for sharing this.
Fascinating to watch your entire process. And what a lovely painting at the end of it. Very inspiring ! Could you share the details of the easel you are using ?
I am glad to hear the exercise changed your life, for you have unlocked the means with which to express yourself. I find that in this video, the colours are somewhat overworked. I am seeking the western contemporary style which relies on minimal application and working. I hope you don’t mind my saying this. Congrats on your TH-cam success. It’s a lot of hard work and I salute you for it
Today is my 83rd day of watercolor painting every day 😅and it has changed my life too 🥳🎉🎊‼️
