I expected Dalton Knecht to just be a shooter but I'm very excited to see him take it to the basket. I hope he does that more, take charge a bit. This squad needs it.

I knew nothing about Knecht until I looked up his highlights, then I was like "WHoa, this kids a baller, how he fall to 17?". Good length, great shooter, surprisingly athletic for his melanin content. If we actually develop him, I see him being a Gordon Hayward type player.

Bronny’s shooting puts me in the mind of Brandon Ingram. It took Ingram a while to find his shot, and I think it’s the same with Bronny. We all know he can shoot, he plays excellent defense, and he has the ability to be a good facilitator for the offense, but his shooting hasn’t landed yet. But oh once it does… get ready. I say, right now, he needs to focus more on his mid-range shooting and lock that down because that’s where he’s best.

If Castleton was a little more athletic hed be incredibly good for us. Hes a high IQ player with good skills, hes just nailed to the floor most of the time. They need to work on pure strength and speed drills with him.

I dont know about anyone else but bronny needs to train to absorb contact on the offensive end. It feels like hes avoiding contact on offense making him take this awkward shots lol. On the defensive end i dont see him avoid it.

I’m sorry but Bronny is trash. I was defending him all this time but he keeps on proving all the doubters correct. This guy cannot keep up with all these g-leaguers rejects. Imagine what the NBA regulars are going to do to him? He doesn’t look to score, he can’t shoot, he can’t post up, he won’t make the defense honest. He does the typical high school offense by driving in to the 3 point line or maybe 2 feet inside then passes it. I’ve seen a lane clear up but he had already made up his mind to pass so instead of being aggressive to the paint he is always looking to pass. 🤦🏻♂️

I think the world needs to be patient with Bronny. Hell he is a second round pick for heavens sakes. I never seen so much expectation from a second round pick. Right now, Bronny is a very young and raw prospect. He needs experience to figure out his game. I think he needs to start with improving his handles and taking it to the hoop. That will open up the rest of his game so much. I still say he should have stay in college a few years but too late now. Hopefully he gains confidence playing in the g league.
Usually raw prospects are freaks of nature 6'7-6'10 and can jump 40 inches not a 6'1 guard.

He is a 2nd rounder with a freaking guaranteed 4 year contract when he has absolutely no place in NBA for at least 2-3 years.

Unlike when the Lakers won the summer league with Kuz an Zo? They got traded anyway. 😅 Knecht keeps playing like this and improving, he's not going anywhere. Dude can shoot and take it to the rim, just his defense needs more work.
I don't think you get traded after Summer League. Lakers got a steal with Knect, he will be a tremendous fit with the team this year.
If he isn't starting by mid/late season, he will have a Tyler Herro 6th man role.

@@TreyDongzz I think Knecht is a great player. But he is only increasing his trade value. What I mean is that he just doesn't feel like a "Laker." He feels like a stopgap for something.
