I think this performance & the 48 points he had in the Finals vs 🐍 KD & the 73-9 Warriors team is his 2 bestest games ever in the playoffs. Some nominees is the b2b 40 points games he had on that 3-1 comeback vs Warriors. No one is talking about how he missed his first shot and THEN HIT 12 STRAIGHT before barely missing a 3 to end the half, to be in a zone like that, is a feeling like no other... Absolutely incredible,, as someone who plays ball, that zone where you feel like everything you shoot is going in is unmatched.

One of? This was the MOST important game of his career …coming off the choke job in the previous finals after assembling a big 3 that was supposed to win not 1 not 2 not 3 not 4 rings and then not even making it to the finals after the choke job against Dallas? If he lost this game they would’ve split up the big 3 and his legacy would have never been able to recover. He quite literally knew he had to win this game

Mia missed the playoffs the prior yr before LBJ came & cupcake 🐍 KD blew a 3-1 lead to the defending champs in the WCF championship then the very next yr, signed with the b2b Finals 73-9 Gs team (with 1 🏆 won already) & Gs gets to retains their best & most important bench plyrs in 6th man Iggy & Livingston. When he played against the Celtics in the 80s (an actual good team) his back was neevr agaijnst the wall because he was getting swept or not making it to the playoffs. Magic's leagcy wasn,t on the line his rookie year lol Kareem sat out that game to be healthy to close them out. Limited pressure and nom expectation to perform.
