What a surprising outcome! Lockjaw really dominated the fight, but Whiplash showed just how well it was built internally, all that abuse and it was still functioning.
From what I could see, Lockjaw seemed to have just disintegrated itself, the physical force from it slamming its weapon into the opponent must've loosened up something inside
Spoilers bruh
Dude, watch the 3 minute video he’s not spoiling anything... Ridiculous to say that .. you scroll the comment section early on a short video it’s your own damn fault. Take responsibility
@@nicolaskuyperskuypers1575 damn you got owned for that dumbass comment lol
That final hit from whiplash was right next to the tire of lockjaw. They probably penetrated just far enough in to hit the wiring harness and disable the bot. Either way it seems pretty lucky
Well, Whiplash did get in a few hits. They were not as flashy as Lockjaws hit, but he definitly got in a lucky one disabling the drive.
It takes only 1 solid hit to win sometimes.
This has to be the classic Battlebots fight of all time. Has elevated robot fighting to the excitement level of boxing.
But not even close to ufc yet
Carbide is king of battlebots
@@saikumarreddy5225 But Carbide is not a Battlebots competitor it competes in Robot Wars
@@saikumarreddy5225 that's a robot from Robot Wars, not Battlebots, and even so Carbide wouldn't be as great as it was in Robot Wars
I appreciate how humble and gracious the Whiplash team was, knowing that a lot of that win was luck. They accepted the win but had their sights set on improving for future battles.
Insane comeback by Whiplash after losing that wheel. Beast of a Bot.
Losing wheels only matters if you lose a whole side of wheels. It just makes driving a little difficult.
Make showing inside the broken bot part of the show
Did you watch Battlebots resurection?
@@Crab_cos its not nornally part of the tv show. They dont go into the aftermath. Which they really should.
nfsfanAndrew i wish they replaced the jenny taft segments with that. I wasnt the biggest fan of Jenny
It would be neat to see but I think the biggest problem with that is teaching the competitors their internal weaknesses or potentially trademark/copyright issues.
@@Crab_cos Nope, I just watching bootybots
This is better than pro-wrestling!
LazärheaD another example of robots taking jobs
Nobody get my reference?
Nobody want to get your reference, shut up
iT'S REAL.
pro-wresting is fake
Whiplash's manoeverability after losing a wheel shows the advantage of having four wheels instead of just two. Most other bots would be going in circles at that point!
Why cant we have a battlebots video game?
That’s what I’m saying!!
I need an answer to this question
There was one made during the first Battlebots series in the early 2000's, I had it on my GameBoy as a little kid. I'd love for them to release another game, this time for more platforms than a handheld system.
Where can I buy this video game 😀😀😀
we do. its called robot arena 2.
Here before youtube takes this video down cause of animal cruelty
mrshrekiscool bruh it’s a fucking robot that took down these videos the nigga getting a mind of its own 😳😳
Detroit: BECOME HUMAN
Whiplash be like:
Thy had us on the first half I’m not gonna lie
I LIVE FOR BATTLEBOTS
So good. Such pro driving. Much destruction
So happy we got this!! I've wanted to see my two favorite robots fight each other and it was just as good as I thought it would be
This is what’s so fun about Battlebots - anything can happen, so never give up!
It sounds more like Star Wars than actual audio...
Noticed over the years as the robots gets more advanced' there are more features but still under the 250 pound weight limit, which is mind blowing
No shame losing like that ,that was a very evenly matched bots and teams ,epic fight one of my favs so far.
U guys should make the arena in the middle of a desert. Huge 100m x 100m concrete arena. You can build any size you want, any weapon you want even projectiles, with the operators safe underground and drones filming the whole thing. That’d be sick af
Projectiles are allowed as long as they dont pierce the box (which DJ cant despite being able to break weapon teeth and warp frames)
@@datguy8805 if you read the rules the only limitation on projectiles is their speed, so if you are able to design an armour piercing projectile you may use it with no problems.
@@patroclusdaramis they tested DJs to make sure it didnt breach the box but ok. I guess thats why the speed is there
The announcers, "WOAH" everytime they connect
Humans controlling Lock-Jaw: We're going to win
Lock-Jaw: You're not the boss of me! (Turns it self off)
Whiplash: Yay! I'm winning!
The 2018 season 3rd place playoff!
World of Woodrow so 1st bite force 2nd Minotaur 3rd whiplash 4th lock jaw
OMG best fight of the past 2 seasons. Great performance by both drivers and both machines!
MrRexQuando There were much much better fights like Black Dragon vs Minotaur IMO, but this was a pretty good tactical fight
Top 10 anime comebacks
Lol
笑笑
BR kkkkk
Lixo
Overused
They did well to keep their shield pointed at him. Great action this season props.
Lesson one: make sure your drive train is bullet proof. Even if your weapon goes down you can always continue to drive the who three minutes.
After watching a bunch of crappy, b-roll fights, this was amazing!
The sound effects weren’t too bad in this one.
Nice cgi
Nicolas Kuypers Kuypers huh?
What an upset! Lockjaw was taking Wiplash apart piece by piece, then had a fatal heart attack! Shame. Looked like that was gonna be a solid win.
Love the fighting robot action! Far better than the Hollywood centred human fights (except for the Octagon)
2:41 Wow! Such an enthusiastic crowd!
3:10 man being janitor to the battlebox... that's gotta be a rough job :P
Bruh, TH-cam algorithm is sentient
It would be so funny if the narrator started with “Let the bat bottle begin!” 😂
Haha. They probably did it at least once before and edited them out.
If Mike Goldberg commentated BattleBots it would definitely happen
What a nice win by lock jaw. Such a great design.
Whiplash*
Tris Dragony it was a joke because although whiplash technically won, whiplash got its ass kicked
Yep lol
Battlebots❤️ es mi programa favorito😍 from Ecuador 🇪🇨 👍
For a giggle or two, watch ONLY the guy on the right during Kenny Florian's interview at the end... the curly haired one. He seems like he's always almost ready to say something.. or maybe he's high asf with a bad case of cotton mouth and munchies. I can't decide.
Probably both lolz
Dude was constantly wetting his lips. Getting his mouth ready hahaha 👍 😂
Yeah bro, he is definitely fried...
Unpopular question: What is the benefit of having wheels without protection around them? Like Minotaur for example have wheels covered and seems like a better choice in design.
Alot of bots want to be able to either a flip back up easier and have more area on the back of the wheels for traction. Or because it's reversible. Or in cases like this it could be simply because they realized that if they have heavy armor plating that will be effective it could slow down the bot too much. Or in some cases go over the weight limit. What I'm also thinking is that the bots may overheat far too easily with that much weight.
@@alexfang2594 Plus, there's the risk of your wheels getting pinned by your wheel guards too.
@@alexfang2594 Ah that make sense, thanks for explaining. It's just that I see bots like these loses the fight because their wheels are being fragile, it screams a redesign.
Lock jaw had clearly more chances to win . His design is super effective against Whisplaw . I was shocked when Lock jaw stopped moving .
Whiplash: Rips a giant hole in the top of Lock-Jaw, completely disabling it.
Announcers: "Robots just stop working sometimes."
That was only a sticker that was damaged and Lock Jaw had lost power due to the wiring for its power source getting disconnected.
An outcome I would never have expected.
Wait I’m confused, why was this not televised? Does it count towards each bots record?
This was after the season ended.
Oh like a special event?
@@samedud709 Yep, a livestream on the 6th a couple months ago.
ChaosBlitzBeta ok thanks for clearing that up
@@samedud709 Not a problem.
No dull moment in this fight
Makes me smile!
What a come back
EPIC FIGHT
Much better sound thanks :)
Good job whiplash
The boys from Thousand Oaks, CA win!
1:44 EPIC COME BACK
This was a great fight!
Huge comeback
Great fight, great season. The announcers get more stoked every year
I wanna make my own battle bot now
It's a huge financial investment, but it's worth it.
These heavyweights are expensive. Maybe you could look into starting with an antweight or beetleweight. I've been part of a team who did 12 lb and 15 lb robots and it was a blast. The community and competitions are so much fun. I definitely recommended it if you have the money to invest.
Me too! What design are you considering?
Lock-Jaw took a fall. He was dominating.
He seemed to have issues the whole night. Really bums me out, because Lockjaw's one of my favorites. :(
So much for being the best driver
Great fight !!
"oh no, I lost my tyre"
Great show
That was a great match. The unexpected
This was my favorite fight
such cruelty against animal :'(
youtube please take this down!
O melhor programa de robôs..... like
Whiplash got a nice hit on lockjaw, which I don't know if you look closely knocked loose one of lockjaw's scooping things which may have done some damage.
That is a GREAT match up
... AND WHIPLASH GETS AN RKO OUTTA NOWHERE!!!!
Bro how come I didn't know of it in Vegas I would've went
this one is sooo underrated
Where is the anchor who announced its robot fighting time it feels kind of incomplete without him.
They probably cut off that section. He would have been there :)
Who suggested adding shitty sound effects and can they be fired?
Que batalla pensé que perdería y lo noqueo 👌💥
Is there a rule that prevents the installation of a wheel-cover?!
250 pound weight limit. Guarding your wheels properly can take a lot of weight and space. Cann't install a flimsy guard as a half measure, cause it can dent in and lock up one side of your drive.
@@smith7602 theres been some that have gone for flimsy sheet metal for a better than nothing and have had it basicslly just be dead weight
@Jean Baptiste Estiverne was designed from the start. I more meant those that just quickly weld a bit on and go from there
Wow didn't expect that
ESPN 8, the Ocho. If it's almost a sport, we got it.
Latigazo (whiplash) vs mandibula de bloqueo (lock-jaw) ganador:latigazo
Matt is goat
God this is beautiful.
Whoa nice comeback
I saw too Lock-Jaw fights in a row, in both of them he stops working.
Why was Ted Mosby controlling the bot?
Guess this is how he met his wife
They should allow Betting on Battlebots in Vegas... Lots of money to be made.
(haven't watched it yet, but my money is on Whiplash)
Epic comeback
Amazing fight
Well I thought lockjaw would win but whiplash managed win
Broooooo
2:04 this way to death, sir
I wish wars in our world could be fight with robots on a ring.
1:18 Welp they reused that sound for Huge vs Mammoth.
Poor lockjaw. Just suddenly shut down
Lockjaw is such an unreliable bot for something so overly engineered. When they lost to Jackpot, a bot built at like 1 tenth the cost of theirs, I lost all hope that they would EVER win the giant nut.
I thought from the beginning that it would end the other way around
Yaaaa, it’s rewind time
Now thats badass
Whiplash was taking all of the punishment until the end
(3:10) Viscera Cleanup Detail in the background
Its like K.I.T.T and K.A.R.R from Knight Rider.
Do the producers think we’re stupid? The added fake sound affects are TERRIBLE.
I'm wondering why nobody ever did a flying robot, rules allow it and if combined with projectiles or some blades below it it could be quite effective
Lo .Sconosciuto a lot of people have used drones but they are useless 100% of them time! not practical
Just like sister and brother fight
What a comeback? The bot died.... lol
it looks like the lockjaw lost radio command.
LockJaw knew that if it defeated Whiplash, it would cause harm to their human operators. First Law of Robotics violation. So LockJaw shut down. Makes sense to me.
