    Very clear explanations of what and how this phenomiable and very sad situation occurred. Praying for all involved! This is so disastrous that it will take years to erase the scars. I can't imagine trying to get material into the remote areas for repairing and rebuilding homes.😢

    You should seek kayakers perspective on the I 40 collapse. It was bank errosion on a rip rap foundation that was more like a cliff. It's an overly engineered highway.

    Blowing Rock is not in a valley. Chimney Rock is in a valley and is gone
