I’ve been doing this at home by molding a single mini and trying it to a string and teething it around in my backyard. Did not know they had a machine for this.
Hi can we use this miniature spin casting techinque to produce lapel pins (dia. 50mm, thick 2 to 3 mm) and from where can we procure these machines with furnace and die making.
Hi Sir, I like to start casting buckles simple ones, what do I need pls Sir? Do I need this kind of mould’s and do I get them and the spin machine I like to get one to, you been very king on the video very helpful thanks again
In my experience, it depends on how old the mold is. When they get older and hardened and start burning out, you need to use a higher pressure to reduce flash. I personally think a mold that requires more than 60-70 psi is no longer worth casting. But a new, clean mold should cast just fine at around 20-30 psi.
I saw this done years and years ago when i interned at AEG working in the minis department. Super cool stuff.
Thanks for such a super informative video.
What an interesting little spin cast machine. I've never seen one so small. I really want one!

What PSI setting do you use on the heavier spin-caster (Approx.)? Thanks
