Monica Barbaro is not getting the recognition she deserves. She's the best part of the movie !!!!!
Thankfully, has been nominated by Screen Actors Guild, and BAFTA.
Yes. Voice of Joan Boaz
Been a fan since Maverick! She's great.
I loved how she played Baez
She made Joan Baez hot
The two shot of them singing into each other's eyes is absolutely unbelievable. The giant crowd of people looming, everybody having their own opinions - but Bob and Joan are there, present, with one another (even through the tensions in their relationship, of course). Loved that they held onto it for so long. Great film!
Movie made me cry about those songs. Also, the guy who portrayed Johnny Cash was FANTASTIC!
Same
I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but the young lady who played Sylvie, she would watch him singing with Joan Baez, and she was just TORMENTED by how he had this connection with Joan. It just tore her apart! He also didn't give a shit. At least Joan put her foot down sometimes. These singers really had women always chasing them!
@@jazzsoul1695pretty obvious actually
@@ofthegrayfortressYeah it was like a huge plot point of the film
This was a perfect scene.
Great scene. But the archive footage of the actual performance seems like they enjoyed it. There's animosity from Joan here. A little confusing, but great nonetheless.
It would be a perfect scene but unfortunately they left out the best part. Elle fanning, whose performance in this scene was breathtaking
The whole movie is perfect
this is the best movie i've seen in years. I couldnt take my eyes off Monica Barbaros
she's pretty
Granted, I feel some of us were already doing that during top gun maverick. She was a killer as Phoenix.
@@acdragonrider never saw that movie. I think I should now that you mention that plus I want to see the dark star airplane
She is an Oscar nominee.
Join the group
And now she’s Oscar nominated for this!
I watched this film "A Complete Unknown"
on Xmas day 2024, alone in a theatre half full of people. I cried, I laughed and was left wanting more!
James Mangold’s go-to song for making the main character’s love interest jealous! 😁 They both did fantastic.
James Mangold had to have been experiencing a lot of “Walk The Line” nostalgia when filming this scene
I know right! I loved Boyd's take on Johnny but I honestly expected Joaquin to walk in. Hahaha.
Agree to both of you, but I was annoyed at the blatant recycling of the Walk The Line scene and this one.
@@merrilllthey both happened, "blatant recycling" is a little harsh
He was doing a self reference
@@theguywhoisaustralian1465 I like the differences, Joaquin's Johnny looks up and immediately realizes the pain he's causing, Timothee's Bob is oblivious.
My jaw dropped when she performed House of the Rising Sun during that open mic scene.
I’ve seen the movie three times! It is magnificent. This was a great scene. Thanks for uploading!
I, too, have seen it 3 times. Thinking of going back
Same! Haha. Early screening, Christmas day, and then one of the IMAX screenings 2 weeks ago. Great movie. Can't wait for the 4th watch.
Doesnt come to Spain until feb .Im Irish but live in Spain and Im so looking forward to it🎉
@piadox i bet the imax was cool
2 times, waiting for it to stream, watched every doc I could find, bought cd’s and read books on the music and the man, brought back so many memories, Dylans music stands the test of time.
Just seen the film and especially loved this scene. They sang so well together - great chemistry, brilliant music, excellent film.
I honestly didn't expect to get goosebumps listening to actors singing Dylan. I mean it's not Dylan, right? This scene gave me belief in the movie. Can't wait to see it on Saturday in Ireland ☘️🎶🎬🎸🙏🏾
It's gorgeous. Allow yourself to love it.
I would listen to a whole film of just these two singing - beautiful together - and Monica Barbaro, wow! wow, wow!
They both are great singers
WOW 😮 Timothee has the same cut twang in the vocals. Unbelievable. He has made a believer. I can't wait to see the movie.
It is incredible!
It was flawless
THE BEST SCENE IN THE MOVIE. WE LOVE THESE TWO!!!
This scene made me cry like a baby 😭😭😭🤍
Yup
Elle was heartbreaking
She’s simply divine.
Good movie. I’m rooting for Timothy to win best actor.
Me 2
Same!!!
@kevinandreimasula5491 ditto

Brody has it in the bag
Monica Barbaro got nominated was shocking to me, I actually didn’t think it was going happen but congrats to her. She was the best part of the movie
Amazing film. Timothée Chalamet and Monica Barbaro capture Dylan and Baez perfectly. Along with the era. You can’t look away.
This movie is amazing!! Really hope it gets an Oscar
I was truly amazed by it as well. It had that magical "Walk the Line" movie formula
Monica Barbaro deserves to win oscar
*Great movie, terrific music and amazing personal memories!!!*
Took my 16 year old grandson and he’s already downloaded about 25 Dylan songs (and he’s now crushing on Monica Barbaro 😁)!!!
A lil continuity mistake at 0:15, you can see Bob put his harmonica holder on, then it cuts to him and he hasn't put it on yet 😬
Timothee Chalamet sounds like Dylan if only Dylan had had voice lessons. So good!
She doesn't sound anything like Baez.
Dylan didn't need voice lessons. He has a unique voice. Especially during the 60s and 70s his voice sounded more resonant and smoother.
Amazing film and the 2 main actors were great and sang well too.
They both are great singers
Awesome film. Script. Casting. Performances. Two thumbs up.
This is perfect. Joan has such a potty mouth! 😂😂😂😂😂
Beautiful Monica, beautiful scene, so talented actors who learnt to sing and play guitare so rapidly. I’m really impressed, professional singers wouldn’t do better for this scene…
Ed Norton really captured Pete Seeger! Timothee basically turned in to Dylan! A look at how things & society was.
omg pls win oscar
I watched Monica in season 2 of UnReal and she absolutely killed it as Yael in that show. You guys need to watch it!! It’s such a good show!
Then, when I saw this film in theatres, I knew I had seen her from somewhere and then I googled her to see that she was the same girl who played Yael.
Her singing in this film blew me away. I’ve never heard of Joan Baez but I think Monica did fantastic. ❤
Golden Globes worthy performance.
An all-round fantastic ensemble cast. They've been talking for ages about an Oscar category for "best ensemble" the way they've been talking about doing away with daylight savings time. It's always there, it's always awkwardly obvious but nothing ever gets done about it 🤣 Barbaros doesn't look a whole lot like Joan but her voice, Effing magnificent !
1) Daylight Saving Time is essential. 2) She doesn't sing like Joan either...
Just saw it. They were so good together.
💯
A brillant performance. Monica Barbaro is incredible . One can hardly hear Thimoty Chalamet on the other hand.
beautiful. huge dylan fan and i love it. i know they mixed things around a bit but that was to spin the story best and it worked with all the songs meaning something. timothee was just like bob. the way he moved his head, leant over the mic, rolled his eyes etc. brilliant. oscar stuff.
Extraordinary scene. Just like, how women know when something is not going well, both Sylvie and Joan, while Bob is just there, unaware and "happy". Baez looks at him, singing to him with some pain. What a movie!
Edit: and I think I speak for everybody by saying Barbaro's nomination should have been for Best Actress, not Supporting Actress.
I love this movie the more I watch it.
Monica Barbaro is one of those actors that I will literally watch anything they're in. Tom Cruise, Paul Giamatti, Robert Redford, Monica Barbaro, etc.
Cañts wait to see it.o
This movie blew me away. Absolutely incredible
Such a great scene!
Timothy was of course great as Dylan, but she was a phenomenal Joan Baez.
Both great
Fantastic singing
Beautiful! Reese and Joaquin would be proud 😍
This scene was shot in Mountainside, New Jersey, a park by the name of Echo Lake. I grew up two miles from there.
Saw the movie 2 times going again❤❤❤❤❤❤ Oscars please
Watching it again right now
Wow! I wait unpatently for the start of this great movie in german language.
You don't say
It’s great enjoy
@stephaniemoore9122 ok
This movie won me over!!! It is so good it sucked me in as if I was there!!!!!! 😊 also brought back many memories from that time for me
He will get the Oscar.
I hope so he deserves it timothy worked hard for this movie and he deserves to be rewarded for it he did a great job
Just seen this, great film
Yes it is
This movie went so fast for me, I couldn’t believe it was 2.4 hours long.
The weather looked warmer, the streets looked safer, honey was on the air.... take me back
💯
1961 Dylan arrived in New York and the city broke a record for longest stretch of below freezing cold. We also know Dylan by his record producer pseudonym "Jack Frost"..so by all means go back but just bring a warm coat 🧊🧊
If you haven't seen the movie yet, go see it. You won't regret it.
Good movie
Love it first to to see & hear❣️
She is amazing
Great movie. I went in blind because of the time it started. So glad i wandered in.
Beautiful
Wonderful scene
Loved this movie
I absolutely enjoyed this movie I saw it twice same day
Movie made me cry 😢❤
So beautiful ❤❤❤
Never knew this song was his, done by another band, as so many of his songs were picked up! Wow
She is an Oscar nominee.
I love this movie ❤
Brilliant ❤
Love this movie
Interesting, it looks like they have Timothee say "no problem" in response to "something appropriate" from Monica on set, but ADR'ed Timothee repeating "appropriate"
No, the line isn't dubbed.
@@exposfan94movies Lol I work in audio recording, that line is dubbed. Read his lips, he doesn't say "Appropriate" in the take.
@@exposfan94movies Not the first time he says it, as a question; that's not dubbed. But when he's setting up his harmonica as Joan begins to play, he repeats "appropriate"-this is where the line was ADR'd.
@@giodashorts oh my what does this mean??🙄🙄 they did this scene with the least takes bc Monica had to fly off to Canada I think. Criticizing that is missing the whole point of the song the incredible scene really?
This song -- great in and of itself -- encapulates their stormy life together. Dylan was completely committment-averse -- except for his non-public wife.
She's incredible with that voice like another Joan Baez!
Great scene in a fantastic movie.
One of my favourite breakup songs.
Monica wil get her Oscar this time.
Very good Movie! Loved it when he stuck it right up the Folk elitists😂
Monica Barbaro ❤
great movie
Cant wait
Welcome back Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne!!!!
Wow, for a minute there I forgot that they were two actors.
Damn, James Mangold really likes to film people singing this song 😅
What are the other movies...?

@@SCharlesDennicon Walk The Line
It is a Dylan song one of his most famous Cash among others loved it & sang it
@@SCharlesDenniconJohnny cash loved this song by Bob Dylan & he sang it amongst other singers at the time
Should've had someone portraying Karen Dalton in this film too
This sounds good and looks good, too! It’s them singing their own parts and it’s just a hint of the originals but makes it fresh because they are live!
Great clip! The film might be good!
I only watch documentaries because I’m sick of celebrities. But I might make an exception just this once because they are new!
Our music was better back then because the lyrics made sense. Unlike today’s mishmash. And the songs were about something or someone. Unlike today’s fiddle faddle.
Go see it i think you will like the movie

Joan Baez was a baddie in this film fr fr
This scene looks exactly the It Ain't Me Babe scene from Walk the Line.
And??🙄🙄 u want to bash the movie, BC?
Have u seen the movie? I have try seeing the movie then speak bc this scene in the movie is nothing like Walk the Line
You must be on your period, she is saying this because this and walk the line have the same director @@stephaniemoore9122
@@stephaniemoore9122 we can all see this clip 😂
That was it ? 1:28
It's a trailer

Was that Sonny and Cher?
@@gomerhodgeassuming that’s a serious question, you’re thinking of “I got you babe”, which is sort of a take off of this song
Muy triste escena yo llore en el cine.
Very sad scene, I cried in the cinema
I saw the original after I saw this scene and she was not this mean to him. She nurtured him right on stage. It was obvious she adored him. I think this is the Girl Boss/Toxic Feminism finding its way into the cinematic interpretation of this event and distorting history.
Do some research on Joan Baez OK? She was an enthusiastic human rights protester and she does talk that way. She IS a girl boss, not some hollywood woke crap.
❤❤❤
I like walk the lines version better
Wonder if Timothy felt what Bob felt when Monica looked at him then way she did here?
Arnold Horshack sings!
I cant wait to see this movie. January 30
It really is a great one.
Enjoy it
I thought barbaro’s singing was incredible
T best part of this scene was elle fanning. Unfortunately been cut short here.
Y'all are going to give back what you stole from me too
You can see this scene but better in Walk the Line
No I don’t think so at all this is a heartbreaking scene in ACU. Cried
Your right timothy and monica were great in this scene beautiful singing perfect harmony @stephaniemoore9122
Chalamet se parece A Dylan
Joan Baez wasn’t anything like that. People didn’t talk like that in the 60’s. She’s too brash
He looks more like David Essex.
