I went on this when I was like 7 or 8 and I remember coming out crying. I wanted to ride it again but Hurricane Sandy unfortunately destroyed it... so many memories there... 😢😪😭
I remember going on this ride with my brother. When we got off the ride my brother was crying and said he would never go on it again. He kept his promise until Hurricane Sandy washed it away. I remember only certain parts of the ride (I was around 6-7) clown painting, long hall with closets and a spider on the ceiling, a loud bang in the beginning, an skeleton ghost on a staircase in front of use, and a chandelier, a skeleton with a Hawaiian shirt, and of course those scary looking cart you were in.
Sad this got washed away. I remember way back in the early 90's they had a guy wearing a glow in the dark Jason Vorhees mask and an ax creep behind your kart right before the exit, it scared the crap out of me as a kid lol
Sadly, Stillwalk Manor was completely destroyed when the part of the Casino Pier it was built on fell into the ocean during Tropical Storm Sandy on Monday October 29th, 2012.
I remember I rode this as a kid with my aunt I know I rode but for some reason my memory of what it was like is like blocked out of my head I just remember it was really loud a cranky on the inside
Hope they can build a new haunted house, then. After they rebuild the destroyed section of the pier, if the rest of the pier is even safe to reuse. Funtown Pier took a big hit, but the walk-through Haunted Manor that returned this year was spared. Probably because it wasn't hanging over the water like Stillwalk was. Stillwalk was a sitting duck, the moment a big storm would come, it was doomed. What caused that section of the pier and the Manor to fall? High winds or tidal waves?
Anyone know of any parts or creatures / statues / spiders were salvaged or found in the water? Was anything at all washed along shore in the following days?
I always despised this ride when I was younger but my parents would force me to go on every time because they thought it was funny that I hated it so much. Now that I’m older I would do anything to ride it one more time. :(
Thank God for this video, I saw an aerial shot of the pier and the entire back end is gone, it seems that Stillwalk is now lost to the ocean. I never got to ride it as Stillwalk, I only rode it as Nightmare Manor July, 2001 which was my one and only visit to Seaside. I preferred Wildwood. NJ anyway. But, Seaside also had some cool haunted attractions. It makes me sick to my stomach that this ride was lost and that nobody could do anything to save it since the Gov. of NJ ordered everyone out.
What could anyone possibly have done? They knew on the 27th that they needed to prepare, that's why they took all the seats off the sky ride. There was nothing they could have done for the Stillwalk, Jetstar, Musik Express or Centrifuge short of lifting them and placing them someone safer. Everyone wants to blame the Government officials, but I'd rather lose some rides than the lives of stubborn people trying to save them!
THIS was an amazing haunted house that was vandalized by teens so over the years things stopped working. And this was right before it was ripped into the ocean so like bye they never even got a chance to fix anything.
Imagine swimming in the water and seeing the remains of these props 2 feet in front of you.
it actually happened!

Part of the Spider was found under the pier and one of the cars was also found on the shore
Watching this is like having a fever dream about my childhood. Sad that this place is lost to the sea now
I still feel bad this is gone. It was part of my childhood.
Can’t believe I’ll never be able to ride this again ugh
This is actually terrifying when you're there.

Yes definitely like why does seaside still not have a haunted house😭
Anyone know of any parts or creatures / statues / spiders were salvaged or found in the water? Was anything at all washed along shore in the following days?
nope everything is gone somewhere at the bottom of the ocean.
@@andreatoth8029 ew thats like some titanic shit, i wonder if it’ll ever be found if its even any sort of in-tact
Someone I knew found a piece of it in the water a while later. Scared the shit outta him.
Part of the giant spider or something else?@@himikotoga4270
When they turned it into a ride and not a walk through it went down hill.

look haunted houses on the pier are always a cool thing but THIS is just cheese made for overly nervous tweens..
