Javon Fordyce I mean Rakim is the god MC, he’s the one who paved the way for guys like Big. I like to think of it like this: Rakim made the blueprint and Biggie perfected it.
"Welcome to my center, honeys feel it deep in they placenta, cold as the pole in the winter, far from the inventor, but i got this rap shit sewed, and when my mac unloads I'm guaranteed another video"... Biggie will ALWAYS be top 5 whatever your criteria is... IMO he's top 2...
IMO he's 15th on my top 20 best rappers ever, I'd honestly pick Crooked I, Royce, Black Thought, Jay, Em, Nas, Pac, Big L, Rakim, G Rap, KRS, Pun, Meth and Kane over him but I can definitely see why you consider him top 2
@@scladoffle2472 I wouldn’t say worlds ahead because they had much longer careers than Big. It’s the same thing with Big L that man was nicer than most people that came before and after him. Thing is they all just do it differently but all just as incredible it comes down to preference. Pick a category or something they do and you can find common ground but if it’s the voice…Guru or Rakim or Nas might sound much better than Biggie. If it’s flow Biggie and Andre do it different than Eminem or Big Pun that’s a toss up. When you break down and analyze it you’ll realize lyricism isn’t Aesop Rock using 8 thousand different words or speed or rhyming banana with orange. Big L’s Ebonics is one of the most lyrically impressive tracks I’ve ever heard but you’d consider him basic triplet flow with punchlines…not comprehending what he just spit and how he delivers it. There’s so much to consider and if you think Biggie isn’t as advanced you might need to go back and realize how much impact he had on lyricism in the late 90’s and he made even the best at it consider him the GOAT.
To me Meth is the one who killed this track (Biggie also said Meth did a better job on this one) and that says something when you are rapping with one of the best to ever do it, and on his own album too.
hey man. can you tell me what program do you use to make these? or how could I make it? i’d really appreciate it. i’m trying to make some videos of spanish rap schemes.
I got it "sewed/ and when my MAC unloads"... Meaning, B.I.G. thought of himself so clever on the mic, so pure in his skills, his hold on the rap game was "sewed" like a virgin's vagina, impenetrable. From hip-hop to street ball, having things "sewed up" was a common turn-of-phrase used in the culture. Crazy thing about B.I.G.'s use of it in this song, this time period, he wasn't lying. He was the Don Dada!
Method Man is such a G that he's the only feature on Ready to Die
What about the guy on Gimme the Loot? Just realized he's uncredited
And method man is the only rapper that has a feature with biggie AND pac
@@adamenglund7946 that's biggie he just made a high pitched voice

Whatever Biggie spits is fire.

Biggie's Flow can never be truly emulated. one of a kind
Almost 30 years this shits still crazy.
Biggie was a 22 year old kid when he wrote this. Imagine what kind of art a more wiser more experienced biggie at his 40 would have made
Irritating like the h _i_ ccups
