Great review, everything checks out. I have been to the local story and they have demo p40 so u can try it. The camera is definitely a big upgrade cuz pictures are rly high quality and detailed. I would definitely reccomend buying this phone.
Have you ever try to compare p30 pro vs p40 ini very low light photos? P30 pro was absolutly insane even in the dark
I totally agree with Pro30 having great fouse I hate my p40, I have a Huawei Pro30 first and thought I upgraded but just to find out its a terrible phone pro30 is way better, too me it's not an upgrade at all.... You have2 to spend money on the p40

Good phone. Google apps is not a problem. Clone everything from the old phone. The rest through the developers pages or app search will take you there. For netflix and games i dont know.

3800 mAh on Huawei is very different if you compare with another android phone, even xiaomi. Surely that much battery is very durable

I have normal p30 and in my opinion it won't ever be worth the upgrade unless p50 has a headphone jack and Google services. Normal p30 is incredible, it has all the features
Managed to preorder a P40 which comes with Bose 700 phones for $999NZD. Sounds like a win to me even if the phone isn't the greatest.

I don't know why flagship phones are starting to get more expensive each year. And even flagship killers are getting big jumps in price. One day, the term flagship killer will start to go away.
Production costs, research and development. Phones are incredibly expensive to make and maintain. Xiaomi notoriously makes only 5% profits per unit sold, and with the lack of r&d money due to that restriction, their software is lackluster.

Giving up a lot of stuff compared to the Galaxy S20 which is in a similar size to this, you wont have wireless charging, expandable storage in MicroSD, Google Services and stereo speakers.

When you reviewed the redmi k-30 you did not like the camera punch holes but on the Huawei and real me phones you say nothing at all I don't get it. 🤔
Actually, it's because the light bleed near the punch hole area, so they don't like it. Punch holes are more perfect with OLED. Good question tho

Huawei P40 6.1 in screen 3800mah battery = 870 euros...Huawei P40 lite 6.4 inch screen 4200mah battery = 380 euros... Wtf like..doesn't seem right..Fair enough P40 has better chipset, cameras and Ram..But come on..People will choose lite version, I would but unfortunately No Google supported apps on these devices....
Well obviously size is not everything. Those two phones aren't in the same class even. Only objective upside of Lite version compared to P40 is its battery. Everything else is on P40's side. Kirin 990 that is in P40 is very much so *superior* to Lite's Kirin 810. Obviously, Leica cameras on P40 are next level. If you want all that, even tuned up and in bigger package, go for P40 Pro. That's all out, no compromise choice. :)
