You've become my GO-TO weather forecaster! No delay, no intro, no long ads, straight to the facts presented with a loud and clear, energetic, fast report! Your mind is sharp and focused. Thank you!
Omahan, here. I said the SAME thing 24 hours ago as he laid out what was happening at the Iowa border, and what DID happen later. We're less than 5 miles away from Elkhorn and Bennington, and ten from Blair so your reporting these past few weeks has been a God-send. Thank you!
It's spring, if we didn't have these storms that's when we'd be begging for them. Plus it would be weird without spring rain storms. You wouldn't have survived the 93 flood, rained everyday throughout spring & summer. That's when you can say "I wish it would stop raining. " 😊
After watching drone footage of Greenfield someone at the NWS needs to explain how this didn't qualify as a tornado emergency. That town is devastated and they knew how bad that tornado was before it got there.
In Iowa, the following criteria must be met to issue a tornado emergency: (From wikipedia, take it as you will) - A large and catastrophic tornado has been confirmed and will continue - The tornado will have a high impact - The tornado is expected to cause numerous fatalities They did issue a PDS a full 40 minutes before it hit, but I agree, this should've been an emergency.
It's because of your weather forecast that perhaps saved me from being right in the middle of two tornadoes yesterday here in Iowa. Thank YOU and the storm chasers!
I'm in east central Oklahoma. It's pouring at 0930. I'm watching the water rise on my front patio, wondering if I'm going to get water in the house. And yet...yet, we desperately need every drop after last year's drought.
Id say were ok, but theyve missed me all year. So i cant speak for anyone else. I just moved from north of OKC to Moore though, and moore is a tornado magnet. Well see what happens.
Me sitting here watching CAPE in Hamilton, Ontario (across Lake Erie) raise to where it was the day of the Goderich tornado in 2011. Storms are supposed to start firing up an hour after my mother’s post-op oncology appointment so I’m not chasing today - wouldn’t have the focus and it’d be too dangerous given stress and my mind being elsewhere. But, this is the first time in a long, long time my city/area has been under a significant threat. It’s definitely strange to be sitting at home and knowing I’m powerless to do anything and don’t have a safe place in my apartment for my mom and I. So much more different than when I’m on the road and chasing. Definitely can understand how other chasers have felt recently watching storms zero in on their homes and having to cut their chases early or simply not go out just to keep close to home and protect their families. Stay safe everyone.
This is still concerning, more tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail are still possible, and a lot of wind damage was reported in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin
@@HalloweenLand649 That cool front is keeping a leash on the tornado threat this morning but this first one already threw out a hell of a hook and tried.. Stay safe out there!
I live in Central Oklahoma and this past Sundays storms that sparked up wasnt expected in our area...I thought storms were to stay in southern Kansas and maybe some make it to far northern Oklahoma.. those kinda storms worry me when not expected. We ended up with damaging tornados and the huge tornado way west of okc. Scarey stuff. I'm praying for everyone in the next few days.

It feels like every time Pittsburgh, PA has been excluded from these tornado risk areas, we've gotten a surprise tornado in our county. We had around 4 tornados in 11 days in Allegheny County THIS MONTH. The one on May 11th was unwarned and hit a church full of 40 unaware people because Pittsburgh NWS let their guard down. 😳 Even though the tornado risk is north of us in Erie, I bet we're getting another tornado today here in Allegheny County. 🙃
